Notice

The article Gardenburger (disambiguation) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

orphan dab whose nav function is handled by the lede on Gardenburger -- JHunterJ (talk) 13:04, 2 August 2020 (UTC)

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Possible Zoom

[edit]

Hey FM, let me know when you're ready for a Zoom session. I was going to email you, but you don't have it set up in your preferences. You can either make that change, or you can email me from my talk page. Please know that my schedule won't be flexible after the end of August, though. I think it's a good idea for you to do more research before we move forward with a tutorial. Enjoy reading about Mr. Rogers and the Neighborhood! Christine (Figureskatingfan) (talk) 18:31, 3 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about that. I set up my email now so you should be able to email me. FunnyMath (talk) 22:50, 3 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Don't worry, we will chat before the end of August so your schedule should be fine. FunnyMath (talk) 22:54, 3 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

American politics DS alert

[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Your reversions in MedPlus

[edit]

Thank you for your work in this article. An admin has now blocked the editor who was engaged in Undeclared Paid Editing. I have reverted as many as practical of their edits since they are against policy. Nothing orevents any amateur ditor in good standing from making those edits afresh, assumkng them to add genuine vakue to the article. However, the sourcing there is atrocious. It requires a substantial pruning. Fiddle Faddle 13:20, 25 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Timtrent: Hello. I appreciate the compliment! You've also done a great job fixing the article. The sources currently used seem OK at a glance, but I'll start correcting factual errors in the article. The first problem I see is the number of employees and locations seem to be erroneous and/or not properly sourced. FunnyMath (talk) 23:04, 25 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
As long as we report what is stated in reliable sources then it will be fine. We can use primary sources and self published sources to verify simple facts, though we have to use them wisely Fiddle Faddle 08:05, 26 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, thank you so much for your work! I also read your comment at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Women in Red. I'm humbled that you chose the photo as your first retouch of the year. FunnyMath (talk) 03:02, 1 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Well, it's a featured picture and your article's scheduled for DYK. Good progress so far. Might be worth seeing if she could pass good article status too. I suspect the biggest blocker for featured article is the limited knowledge about what she did in China - you might need to prove you haven't missed any good sources. Adam Cuerden (talk)Has about 8.2% of all FPs. Currently celebrating his 600th FP! 01:31, 12 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I will 100% try to get the article to good article status. I'm a bit busy with real life at the moment, but it's definitely on my priority. Featured article status might be possible too. I already put a source for the sentence "Little is known about Lee's career after graduating from MIT." in the article, so that should be enough to prove that no information is missed. Again, thank you so much for your restoration. It means a lot to me. FunnyMath (talk) 04:20, 12 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Li Fu Lee. Biden wreck

[edit]

I have seen some bad ideas on Wikipedia, but adding those images is near the top of the list. Not only is that an extremely obnoxious thing to have in a biography, all newspaper content is copyrighted, usually in the masthead. Just because you couldn't find a notice doesn't change that. Acroterion (talk) 02:33, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Acroterion: I added those images in good faith, and I had no malevolent intentions. My idea was that if I find some photos that seem relevant to an article, I'll add them, and if they get removed, no big deal. I'm not insisting that the car accident photos be added.
I uploaded newspaper photos before in the past and added them on various articles. None of them were even nominated for deletion. If you think they're copyvios, you are free to add deletion requests for them.
Honestly, this is really stressing me out. I'll probably avoid these high-visibility articles from now on. FunnyMath (talk) 02:52, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The pictures may or may not clear the bar on Commons, I'll leave that to them. However, the larger issue is putting things like that into the biography of a living person. Would anybody want images of a wreck that killed their family in their biography? I mean, really? I am convinced you were doing it in good faith, but stop and think for a minute before acting. Acroterion (talk) 02:56, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'll take some time off. FunnyMath (talk) 03:09, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You don't need to do that. Just learn from experience. Acroterion (talk) 03:28, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Acroterion: I apologize for adding those photos, and I take full responsibility for that. It was absolutely wrong and insensitive, especially for an article on a living person. I will definitely be more careful from now on.
I'm sorry that this apology has come so late. I was going through a really stressful moment in real life, and it's not your fault that I had to quit for several months. I needed some time to decompress and come to terms with what I did. I hope you understand that it wasn't personal. FunnyMath (talk) 20:26, 23 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:46, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
