Hello, Muhib mansour, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Elias Almosuli, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Elias Almosuli requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Iker Casillas

[edit]

Hi, I removed the category because I could not see source that says Iker Casillas is catholic. This can for example be mention in personal-life sectiuon with a source: "Casillas is a spanish catholic" with a source. Then category can be added. We can not add anything (including categories) if it is not sourced. QED237 (talk) 16:01, 10 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

ok what about this source http://celebriot.com/iker-casillas-weight-height-ethnicity-hair-color-eye-color --Muhib mansour (talk) 16:17, 10 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I am sorry but that is not a reliable source as it can be edited by anyone. At bottom of page it says "It's edited by our users and CelebRiot claims no ownership of it. If you see information that you would like edit, create an account here to do so." so it is not reliable. If it was to be used editors could edit that page saying he is 300cm tall or 500 years old and then add that content to wikipedia. A more reliable source is needed. Doing so is a serious violation of the policy on living people and can result in you being blocked. Likewise, referring to people as "faggots", as you have done above, is not acceptable. Production on the film has not yet begun, so we can't have an article on the film per WP:NFF. Kailash29792 (talk) 07:52, 6 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Let me tell you something: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has a Wikipedia article because filming on it is complete! WP:NFF clearly states, "Films that have not been confirmed by reliable sources to have commenced principal photography should not have their own articles, as budget issues, scripting issues and casting issues can interfere with a project well ahead of its intended filming date ... In the case of animated films, reliable sources must confirm that the film is clearly out of the pre-production process, meaning that the final animation frames are actively being drawn and/or rendered, and final recordings of voice-overs and music have commenced." Request for Help, please

[edit]

Greetings Mr Muhib mansour,

Nice to meet you.

Could you kindly help me translate this article into the Romanized Iraqi Arabic language? Please.

Your help would be very Gratefully Appreciated, Thankyou very much. --Philip J (talk) 22:41, 24 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, to Romanized Iraqi Arabic spoken in daily life instead of standard classical Arabic. --Philip J (talk) 23:14, 24 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Apologies, I was referring to the Iraqi Arabic language written in latin alphabet. (for example: يابه شلونك؟ شدتسوي مادتسوي اليوم؟ in Iraqi Arabic is written as "yaba shlonak? shdassowee ma dassowee ilyom?) --Philip J (talk) 23:24, 24 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. --Philip J (talk) 23:48, 24 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Because I wish to learn the Iraqi Arabic language and to understand how it is written in the latin alphabet. --Philip J (talk) 00:24, 25 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yes please, Romanized Modern Standard Arabic would be fine. --Philip J (talk) 00:30, 25 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much Muhib for your help! It is gratefully appreciated. May God bless you. If you want any texts to be translated into Chinese, then I can help you. --Philip J (talk) 01:29, 25 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Can you also translate those words into the Iraqi Arabic dialect? (using both the Arabic alphabet and the latin alphabet). --Philip J (talk) 01:33, 25 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Instead, can you help translate these texts into Modern Standard Arabic?

Hello Muhib mansour. I think you need more practice editing before you create pages like this. Your grammar and punctuation need improvement.

  1. We usually don't use <big></big> in the normal text: "affifa Iskandar Estefan" not "affifa Iskandar Estefan"
  2. A persons name is always capitalised, "Affifa ..." not "affifa ..."
  3. We do not link dates: "She born in 10 December 1921" not "she born in 10 December 1921"
  4. References come after, not before punctuation: ".<ref>" not "<ref>."
    • And there should be no space between the punctuation and reference: ".<ref>" not ". <ref>"
  5. Sentences start with a capital letter: "She born in Mosul" not "she born in Mosul"
  6. Don't leave a space before punctuation marks, it should be after: "mother, she live in" not "mother , she live in"
  7. As the person is dead we don't say "is", we usually say "was": "Estefan was an ..." not "Estefan is an ..."

I have fixed the first paragraph for you, see here. I would suggest that you create a wp:draft first next time you start a new page. Regards, 220 of Borg 13:42, 26 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Hany Ramzy ((disambiguation), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from an implausible typo, or other unlikely search term.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you believe that there is a reason to keep the redirect, you can request that administrators wait a while before deleting it. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. If you want to propose a merge of article Aris F.C. with article Aris Thessaloniki, you must create a new section in the discussion page of the article (Talk:Aris F.C.) and explain the reasons for proposing the merger of the two articles. You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mahlagha Jaberi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Tukoso Dawronoyo Mothonoyo d’Bethnahrin in Aramaic/Syriac script

[edit]

Hello FPP, I noticed that you are a native speaker of Aramaic. On the page of the Bethnahrin National Council, there is the name of the Patriotic Revolutionary Organization of Bethnahrin in Classical Syriac(Tukoso Dawronoyo Mothonoyo d’Bethnahrin), but only Romanized, not in the Syriac script. Would you be able to render the name in the Syriac script?
Thank you, -Thespündragon 17:39, 17 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Most of your changes to 1991 were generally good, but were badly formatted and badly described in English. Specifics:

  1. Australian soccer players are "footballers", even though Australian rules football is more common. They do not use the term "soccer".
  2. You used "dancer" for one person without it being in the lead of the article.
  3. If a native of "foo" now lives in "bar", he is fooian-barian, not barian-fooian
  4. The format for births in year articles is:
  5. We attempt, within dates, to sort alphabetically by surname, although sometimes it's difficult to tell which name is the surname. Generally, if you use the Wikipedia editor (not Visual Editor), for people, you can look at the DEFAULTSORT tag in the last section of the article, just before the categories.

That being said, all the people you added should have been added, under our current guidelines, so I don't mind fixing up your edits. I would rather I didn't have to fix them up, though. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 23:32, 18 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I fixed most of your dash errors in 1994 here. Please take note. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 11:23, 20 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You still need to work on your dashes. See the section above for the correct format. The spaced dash is an WP:NDASH (– or –), not a simple hyphen. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 04:01, 20 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Mehr Eliezer, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. I rather think that you were trying to improve the article in good faith, however a disruptive IP had added unsourced information about her being of part Jewish descent... which is not actually attested to in any sources. "Improving" on articles and further cats should be done prudently, so please check sourcing in order to confirm that the information is actually correct before jumping the gun. Alternative names

[edit]

Hallo, I've just been looking at Talasius which you created. The use of bold in the lead is supposed to be for alternative titles from which redirects have been made (see MOS:BOLD). You added the bold but didn't make the redirects. I've done so, but another time please make the redirects yourself. Sometimes you'll find that doing so turns a whole lot of red links blue. It's important to check a "What links here" after you make the redirects, in case any of them are from other uses of the word and need some other action like a disambiguation. Thanks. Hi FPP! On Talk:Nabataeans of Iraq#Original article restored after rewrite: which one is better?, you asked me why I didn't contact you when I rewrote the article in June 2022. To leave room for other editors in that thread, I wanted to answer you here.

I remember wanting to contact you about it back in June, but then I noticed that you hadn't been editing for months (cf. [1]). I assumed that, as the creator of the article and thus someone interested in the topic, when you returned to editing you would see the rewrite and be happy with it, seeing that it is very much an improvement.

But now I see that you don't believe it to be an improvement, and I understand that you're not happy about me just rewriting the thing from scratch. That's not pleasant, I get that. But that's also why I invited the other editors to comment: they are in a position to more neutrally assess whether the rewrite is an improvement or not.

Now what two of these editors have been trying to tell you is that on Wikipedia, we are not supposed to directly base our writing on primary sources like al-Mas'udi or Sa'id al-Andalusi. This is carefully explained in our policy on original research, more specifically in the section Wikipedia:No original research#Primary, secondary and tertiary sources. Note such clauses as:

  • "Any interpretation of primary source material requires a reliable secondary source for that interpretation."
  • "Do not analyze, evaluate, interpret, or synthesize material found in a primary source yourself; instead, refer to reliable secondary sources that do so."
  • "Wikipedia articles usually rely on material from reliable secondary sources. Articles may make an analytic, evaluative, interpretive, or synthetic claim only if it has been published by a reliable secondary source."

Wikipedia is a modern encyclopedia, strictly based on modern scholarship. We do not give any weight to what al-Mas'udi or Ibn Khaldun said, only to what modern scholars have said about them. The same goes for the hadith of Umar you wonder about: we only write about a hadith like that in our article when a modern reliable secondary source has written about it. The source you provided is not such a source.

You have been editing here for almost ten years, so it is absolutely crucial that you as soon as possible both understand and accept core policy like this. The same goes for adding wholly unsourced material, such as the 'Influence on writing' section you added here. If you want to continue editing on this website, you must respect Wikipedia:Verifiability and cite reliable sources when adding new material. Please take some time to read through our policy pages (Wikipedia:Core content policies may be a good place to start), and make sure you follow them in the future.

Thanks for taking this into consideration, ☿ Apaugasma (talk ) 20:09, 1 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I am have been active all time since I begun editing here
I dont understand what is your problem with old historians? If the old historians like Al-Masudi and Said al-Andalusi didnt talk about Nabataeans nobody would know about them even your modern historians
Same thing if Luke, Matthew, Mark the Evangelist and John the Apostle if they didnt wrote their gospels, nobody would know who is Jesus? FPP (talk) 21:02, 1 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
This link shows that you did not edit here between 2 March 2022 and 5 September 2022.
I have no problem with old historians. As a historian myself, I read historical sources (primary sources) all the time, including both Arabic writings such as The Nabataean Agriculture and Greek writings such as the Gospels (I also read Latin and would like to read Syriac one day). But that's not relevant here on Wikipedia: in contrast to historians, Wikipedia editors are not supposed to be doing original research. That's because we're all anonymous here, and the presumption is that most of us are not trained as historians, and lack the necessary expertise to correctly interpret primary sources. Not everyone is knowledgeable enough to accurately understand the Bible (or the Qur'an for that matter) in its historical context. Instead, Wikipedia editors must strictly rely on the experts who have already investigated the primary sources: modern scholars.
Over and above that, Wikipedia editors should seek out scholarship of the highest quality. We should not just use any respectable scholar (e.g., Ali al-Wardi), but those scholars who are known specialists in the specific topic we are writing about: the actual subject experts. These can be recognized for example by the fact that they are the author of the relevant entry in a highly respected encyclopedia such as Encyclopaedia of Islam, and so I used Graf & Fahd's "Nabaṭ" entry. Another way to recognize this is the fact that they have written a whole book about the subject published by a highly reputable academic publisher such as Brill. And so I have used Hämeen-Anttila's 2006 book on The Nabatean Agriculture (which I highly recommend you to read if you have any interest in this subject!).
These scholars speak about authors such al-Mas'udi at length. They may even mention the Umar hadith somewhere. But we use them for our articles, because they are among all the people who live on this planet the ones who know most about this subject. Do you understand this? ☿ Apaugasma (talk ) 22:04, 1 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Admin blocked me over addition of unsourced content but he didnt clarify why I have to add citation to years articles This is only notice about add links to births section, you can read it "Please do not add yourself, non-notable people, fictional characters, people who weren't born in the relevant year, or people without Wikipedia articles to this list. No red links, please." It didnt talk at all about citations and most of links in years article is without links. So admin Deb blocked me unfairly.

When I add citation, its only to satisfy him but it seem he didnt satisfy.

His problem with me personally because he dont want to add links that he dont like by me.

Here is the proof. Admin Deb removed all my edits in [2][https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=1998&diff=prev&oldid=1138377247

If you're not comfortable editing with people whose real names you don't know, Wikipedia isn't the place for you. Many people have good reasons for not using their real names. Accusing administrators of sock puppetry is a serious accusation for which you need evidence. As for why you need to add citations, please see WP:BLP. While you don't need to be familiar with every policy, you need to know the ones that are pointed out to you. If people tell you that you need citations, you should consider the possibility that they are right and look into it. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 09:34, 19 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You pretend to assume good faith in your page, where is the good faith when admin deb block me for six months with no warning at all. I am not beginner user, I have a lot of articles and contributions here, and I know where can I add citation. In years articles again it didnt talk at all about citations at all. Its only admin Deb want to apply his rules.

Admins here have alot of privileges, how I can approve you dont belong to same account or group? You have no right to tell me that Wikipedia is not my place. I have the right to express my views on the policies of the encyclopedia

And I am still waiting for admin with real name to judge this case --FPP (talk) 12:30, 20 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I am still dont get convinced why Admin Deb have right to abuse his power and blocking me unfairly for 6 months. None of those admins get out from their power perspective with each other 1 Admin Deb dont give me any warning as those admins claim, and he block me directly not for one day but six months. Ask yourself is that fair seriously? 2 The edits that I am made didnt require any sources as those admins claim. Here what years article require said I didnt broke any of this requirements. This is only what I read. If there is any other requirements, admin Deb has to inform me and to assume good faith with not blocking me directly for six months. You can check links in births sections in this articles. I can assume that over 90% is without sources. So why only the links that I added it have to be with sources. And when I added alot of those sources is only to satisfy admin Deb but he didnt satisfied. 3 Is it real the reason that admin Deb block is Persistent addition of unsourced content. So why he remove all my edits including at 1998 [article] all links there that I added it are with citations!! None of those admins had a courage to answer this question. Admin Deb did same with 2001, 2002 and 2003 article. He is clearly abused his powers with me. 4 I am not a beginner user here to block me for "Persistent addition of unsourced content" I have a lot of article here all with sources. And I know where I have to add sources. 5 I demand my right to judge this case by admin with his real name, because I am suspicious with those admins. They didnt look like names for encyclopedia admins but look like names of Reddit users. And I have right to criticize those names and this policy. The admins dont have right to told me that Wikipeida isnt my place as last one said If I dont get real answers for this points, I will not waive my right FPP (talk) 06:02, 25 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Okay ... now you got one of us who uses their real name ...

That's your good news. The bad news is that I'm not any more impressed.

First and foremost, I must raise the perhaps tender subject of whether or not your English-language skills are really up to the task here. Yes, you can generally make yourself understood, but there are also clear grammatical errors in each sentence, such that encyclopedic prose written that way would require serious immediate copy editing. You might very seriously want to take this enforced break to edit the Wikipedia in your native language such that you might better develop the skills and knowledge you have lacked here. If you're not already doing that, that is.

I looked at one of the edits you were complaining about, and the problem isn't, perhaps, so much that you aren't adding sources (although in some cases it seems like you aren't) as that you are using low-quality sources ... I'm not sure we consider soccerways.com and hitc.com reliable sources. You have had all this time to learn the difference, especially with the sort of content you have been adding. It's something you might come to understand better in your native language. — Daniel Case (talk) 07:36, 25 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
