rollback

Hi Eman235. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Katietalk 14:05, 21 February 2016 (UTC)

Hi, welcome to Wikipedia. If you have a reliable source, go ahead and add it back with a citation (see this page for how to do this). Otherwise it looks like original research, which is unacceptable on Wikipedia. Thanks, Eman235/talk 01:20, 23 February 2016 (UTC)

About the contribution

Hi, I'm sorry if I wrong about give the contribution, I edit reference no.9 for https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kereta_Api_Indonesia (Indonesian reference language) because it's have died reference in reference point 9.

"If you don't see sharp then you might be flat"

I'm wondering what was the purpose of the recent run of edits like this, this and this. The best reason I can think of is that you can change the symbol on a standard ASCII keyboard - is that it? Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 10:05, 23 February 2016 (UTC)

That's part of it. The other main reason is that ♭ and display differently -- the difference is especially marked with # and . So it's mostly a display issue. Thanks for asking. Eman235/talk 20:21, 23 February 2016 (UTC)

Hm. I think a source explicitly stating that the crime mortality rate is "one of the highest" would be better; otherwise it violates the policy on original research, specifically the "synthesis of published material" section. Do you have any other sources (news reports, etc.)? Eman235/talk 06:55, 27 February 2016 (UTC)

Talk page etiquette

Thanks for the welcome!

I just have a couple questions:

Should I leave everything on my talk page as it is, or should I clear things like {{help me}} when I don't need them anymore?

Also, about my first UBX: How do I make it so people who use that UBX are added to a category (e.g. "Wikipedians who use the Awesome WM")?

Thanks again!Myoglobin (talk) 01:42, 12 March 2016 (UTC)Myoglobin

Hi, Myoglobin. Usually you should leave your talk page as is until it starts getting long, then you archive (see here for how to do that). You can remove the {{help me}} template if you want, though.
As for the userbox -- a category isn't really necessary, but if you want, you can add | usercategory = Wikipedians who use Awesome Window Manager to the end of the code. Then save the page. Category:Wikipedians who use Awesome Window Manager should appear at the bottom of the page as a red link. Click the link and add a description for the category, then press save. Done! Phabricator task-T120738 List Of Contributors

Hello,

I am interested to work on the project List Of Contributors with phab task https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T120738 . I see that you endorsed the project in the community wishlist survey. It would be great help if you could share how you wish this tool should be implemented. As I am writing my proposal for the project for GSoC 2016 , I am working to make an outline to the project and a timeline for tasks to be completed. Your valuable suggestions are most welcome.

A complaint

Mr/Mrs/Miss Eman235

I wish to place a complaint regarding the April Fools face I received on my user page without rhyme or reason. As I have no sense of humor I shall proceed to complain most vigorously about that ridiculous decoration.

...

Nah, just kidding.

I love the face!! How did you do it??? (squeals happily)

DYK for ARCLIGHT

On 8 July 2016, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article ARCLIGHT, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Julian Lage, a jazz guitarist, recorded his album ARCLIGHT on a Fender Telecaster? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/ARCLIGHT. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, ARCLIGHT), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Let's reduce the environmental impact of the Wikimedia movement!

Hi Eman235, please allow me to get in touch with you because you have stated sympathy with environmental causes on your user page. I would like to invite you to check out the Environmental impact project page on Meta, where I am trying to create some momentum to reduce the environmental impact of the Wikimedia movement. My first goal is to have all the Wikimedia servers run on renewable energy. Maybe you could show your support for this project as well by adding your signature? I noticed you are a beginner-level JavaScript programmer...

I found you listed at Category:User js-1 (probably because you posted the corresponding userbox on your user page), and thought you might be interested in improving your skills by getting involved with developing user scripts, hobnobbing with other JavaScript programmers, and organizing and improving JavaScript articles and support pages.

We do all of that and more at the JavaScript WikiProject.

Scripts undergoing development, and the state of JavaScript on Wikipedia, are discussed on the talk page.

For an overview of JavaScript coverage on Wikipedia, see Draft:Outline of JavaScript and Index of JavaScript-related articles. For everything on user scripts, see User:The Transhumanist/Outline of scripts.

The WikiProject also organizes every resource it can find about JavaScript out there, such as articles, books, tutorials, etc. See our growing Reference library.

If you would like to join the JavaScript WikiProject, feel free to add your name to the participants list.

Hope to see you there! The Transhumanist 16:15, 12 May 2017 (UTC)

Hakuna Matata baby

Dear Guardian of Good Music,

The last four words were your edit about two years ago: "Hakuna matata" is a Swahili phrase; roughly translated, it means "no worries".

Thank-you for rearanging the words from the wikipedia page of Hakuna Matata to reference the song from the Lion King, and for having a sharp ear for quality music.

I'm not a robot btw. Writing formal messages is weird to me. Hakuna matata, jam on. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.77.196.100 (talk) 11:38, 28 July 2018 (UTC)

Seyed Mohammad Hosseini(showman) page

Hi There,

I am writing to you regarding last update we are trying to put on Seyed Mohammad Hosseini. I am part of seyed Mohammad Hoseini team who is leading opposition for IRAN. all I wrote on his page it was by his approval and all writing items been actually written by him. because of all of the political situation, this user is the only user should update this page.

Please let me know if you need any proof we can provide. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Iranmiga (talkcontribs) 19:43, 15 November 2018 (UTC)

Hi Eman235,

Please help us to add this edit. this is crucial for us to add this,

Many thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Iranmiga (talkcontribs) 01:58, 16 November 2018 (UTC)

Hi there,
Wikipedia isn't for campaigning. We expect articles to be written from a neutral point of view, without political campaigning or opinion. It's also important that users avoid a conflict of interest, so if you are part of Seyed Mohammad Hosseini's campaign team, then editing that article is discouraged.
Additionally, InfoWars is considered a very questionable source around here. Wikipedia is no place to be linking to their interviews.

Request for suggestions

Hi, Eman235! Thanks for your support :-) .

According to your advice, a page at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/WikiDerivations has been created.
Facing certain issues, however. I didn't/couldn't (the reason is mentioned below) follow the mentioned route:

  1. Create an account and a user page on this wiki, so people can address questions to you.
  2. Create a page describing your plan: enter the project name in the box below and click the button.
  3. Link to your proposal from this page, below.
  4. Advertise your project! Good places to do so are on the Wikimedia Forum and the wikimedia-l mailing-list.

I first proposed a project, went on with it and created the project. The link is given.
I would've liked to create an account, but since it is a global account, I was afraid it might remove my Wikipedia User and Talk pages. So I haven't created an account and a talk page in wikimedia.
Since I didn't create an account, I can't follow the next steps after I created a project proposal page. Following the direction given:

  1. Link my proposal to the List.
  2. Advertise my project.

On these I therefore would like to learn. Seek help to learn.
I found that at your suggested page, if I posted a link to the Section, New Projects, it creates a link with a phrase Special:MyLanguage inserted between https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/ and /WikiDerivations, whereas my link is straightforward: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/WikiDerivations
How to seek help in https://meta.wikimedia.org ? I am presently reading the Help links.
Is the page https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help_Forum itself the HELP FORUM?

Posted my query on the Wikimedia Help Forum at Request_for_suggestions
Bkpsusmitaa (talk) 09:09, 10 December 2018 (UTC)

I think you're fine on the account thing, since you already have a global account. I'm not too familiar with the project proposal process, though, so asking on the Meta help forum was a good idea. Eman235/talk 18:37, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for responding. My Username in Wikimedia at the top of https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/WikiDerivations is in Red. Also, hovering the mouse cursor over my username says: Your user page (page does not exist)[.]I have posted this issue on the Help Forum too. So, assuming that you have many important tasks at hand, I should close this conversation.
Thanks once again for your support. Regards,
Bkpsusmitaa (talk) 01:46, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
You do have an account on Meta, but not a user page—I would suggest creating meta:User:Bkpsusmitaa with the content {{softredirect|w:User:Bkpsusmitaa}} so you don't have to maintain a separate page. Eman235/talk 02:15, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
Thank You. I shall search how to use the tool softredirect and apply it subsequently. thanks once again for your continued support. Regards,
Bkpsusmitaa (talk) 02:25, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
Yes, have read the pages, https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Soft_redirect, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Redirect, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Redirect#Soft_redirects and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Soft_redirect.
Subsequently, used the two templates, {{softredirect|w:User:Bkpsusmitaa}} and {{softredirect|w:User_talk:Bkpsusmitaa}} and linked the respective global en.wikipedia pages with the corresponding wikimedia pages. Thank You for your continued support. I learnt a great deal from our interactions.

Adding Images

Hey Eman235, I actually don't know how to properly add them. I'm sort of new here. And I'm used to adding images on FANDOM wikis. But here, I'm so lost. I don't know how to properly add new images.

https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:MegaMan55Cover.jpg (I don't know how to properly fix this image I just added.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by IdeaFan128 (talkcontribs) 06:03, 16 February 2019 (UTC)

Hi IdeaFan128. I suppose the FANDOM upload form you're talking about is something like what's displayed here? Wikipedia doesn't have anything like that as far as I know—just Special:Upload and the easier-to-use File Upload Wizard.
The file you linked to, commons:File:MegaMan55Cover.jpg, was deleted because you uploaded it to Wikimedia Commons. Commons policy only allows freely licensed media. You can upload a nonfree image (e.g., boxart) to Wikipedia, though, using the File Upload Wizard as I said before.
Generally, it's encouraged to use low-resolution versions of cover art. (Don't sweat this too much; if the image is too big, a bot will come along to shrink it.)
By the way, please sign your comments by writing four tildes (~~~~) after your message. Also, talk page messages usually go at the bottom of the page—I've moved this thread for you. Eman235/talk 21:55, 16 February 2019 (UTC)
The problem is that the site never opens. It just keeps redirecting back to the same page. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:File_Upload_Wizard&withJS=MediaWiki:FileUploadWizard.js — Preceding unsigned comment added by IdeaFan128 (talkcontribs) 09:04, 18 February 2019 (UTC)
Huh. Maybe it's a problem with the mobile site—have you tried the desktop version? Alternatively, you could try the simpler form Special:Upload. Eman235/talk 21:02, 18 February 2019 (UTC)
So, like this? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:ThomasandFriendsTheAdventureBeginsCover.jpg#mw-jump-to-license — Preceding unsigned comment added by IdeaFan128 (talkcontribs) 02:08, 19 February 2019 (UTC)
IdeaFan128: That looks pretty much fine. I've added a license template for you. Eman235/talk 05:21, 19 February 2019 (UTC)
Just for clarification, is this the right way again? Ive been meaning to add this picture for some time: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:ArchieMegaManCover.jpg# for this article: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mega_Man_(Archie_Comics) — Preceding unsigned comment added by IdeaFan128 (talkcontribs) 16:07, 19 February 2019 (UTC)
