Can someone upload Sm Ash image for Wikipedia for me? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1:F169:7451:E8A9:6428:5A84:49FF (talk) 18:59, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
- First off you'll need to make sure that the file you'd like to have uploaded meets Wikipedia's image use policy. Specifically, the file needs to be released under a free license that allows anyone to use or reuse it. A good basic explanation page is available at WP:Basic copyright issues. If you've found a free image that can be used on Wikipedia, you can submit the file at WP:Files for upload. Let me know if you have other questions! ‑‑ElHef (Meep?) 21:02, 26 February 2019 (UTC)

Prayagraj former Allahabad
Just like Astana was renamed Nur-Sultan and the name change was acted on Wikipedia, Allahabad was renamed Prayagraj and the change should be done too.
If you want english references with the new name, you should consider that when you type "Allahabad" on Google Map today, the results bring you "Prayagraj"[1] Manish2542 (talk) 12:26, 4 May 2019 (UTC)
References
- @Manish2542: That needs to be discussed on the article talk page, not here. This is a good point to make there, though. The relevant policy is at WP:NAMECHANGES - showing that reliable sources are consistently calling the city Prayagraj and not Allahabad since the official change is what needs to happen in order to make this change. ‑‑ElHef (Meep?) 14:42, 4 May 2019 (UTC)

ACC tool access request approved
Thank you for your interest in the account creation process. I have verified that you have signed the confidentiality agreement for nonpublic information and approved your request.
You may now access the interface here pending a tool root marking your account as identified in the tool database. Before you begin handling any requests, please ensure you have read and understood the account creation guide and username policy to familiarize yourself with the process.
Please subscribe yourself to the private ACC mailing list by clicking here and following the instructions on the page. I also highly recommend that you join us on IRC. We'll be able to grant you access to our private channel (#wikipedia-en-accounts connect), where a bot informs us when new account requests arrive, and where you can chat with the other members of the team and get real-time input, advice, and assistance with requests and how to handle certain cases that are giving you confusion or trouble.
IMPORTANT: Please note that repeatedly failing to correctly assess and process account requests and take the correct resulting actions will result in suspension of your access to the ACC tool interface. Processing account creation requests is not a race, and each request should be handled with your upmost diligence, care, and attention. Closing each account request correctly, accurately, and within full compliance of the ACC tool guide is your goal and your priority; never sacrifice accuracy and compliance of policy in exchange for quantity, or to close a high number of requests that are in the queue.
ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL: Releasing any kind of personally identifiable information or any kind of non-public data listed in the access to nonpublic personal data policy (such as the IP addresses or email addresses of account creation requests), whether intentionally or unintentionally, is treated as an extremely serious violation of policy and breach of confidential information, and will generally result in immediate suspension of your access to the ACC tool interface. Depending on the severity of the offense, the intent, and the level of misconduct that occurred, the violation and the breach of the confidential information will be reported to the Wikimedia Foundation, which can result in further sanctions and actions being taken against you (such as being blocked, banned, or having your access to nonpublic personal data status revoked). If you have questions about this, or aren't sure about anything in regards to this policy, please ask a tool administrator.
Your current user rights allow you to create up to six accounts in a 24 hour period. After this limit has been reached, you won't be able to create any more accounts. However, you can still process ACC tool requests without any issues; just place any approved requests back into the queue so that another tool user can perform the account creation step and finish the process for you. You also won't be able to create an account with a similar username to that of another account that exists; these requests are listed in a separate queue on the interface, titled "flagged user needed". However, if you reach the limit frequently, you can request the account creator permission at Wikipedia:Requests for permissions/Account creator after you've demonstrated a few months of experience and proficiency with processing and handling new account requests.
Please don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you have any questions, and I'll be happy to answer them. Thank you for participating in the account creation process, and we're glad to have you as part of the group! Welcome to the ACC tool user team! ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 12:11, 22 September 2019 (UTC)

@ElHef:
The information, which is given in the Muthuraja article is incorrect
The Muthuraja is not a fully Tamil caste and it has Telugu Muthuraja also included
Book Name: Barriers broken: production relations and agrarian change in Tamil Nadu Page:No :25
The Muthurajas are descendants of the soldiers which the poligars recruited in their homeland, the Telugu-speaking areas of contemporary Andhra Pradesh, north of Tamil Nadu Like other castes originating from Andhra, they are bilingual, often speaking Telugu in family circles and Tamil outside the house "[1]
Book Name : Kattavarayan Katai Page:No :19

(Backward Classes Welfare Department G.O.Ms.No :15.) Mutharaiyar caste have 29 subcaste in tamilnadu such as Muthuraja Naidu(Telugu) & Muthuraju(Telugu)
Concerning the Mutrāchas,(present-day Muthuraja) Mr. H. A. Stuart writes as follows. Archive My Talk Page
Hi there. Two years has passed by for me contributing here with over a WHOPPING 200 edits up to this string of IP address. Between the dates of July 6, 2018 and November 3 of yesteryear, I received 19 messages from random users such as Aoi and Donner60 who was the first to contribute on my talk page. They might be already stale as of now so it is time to put them under an “older comments/warnings might have been removed but are still viewable via the page history” banner. And I just received two comments and a welcome note from Robert McClenon about a pair of character drafts last night.
Bye,

Rossmoor Walnut Creek News
The NEWS is a public relations weekly. The News is public relations directed to residents and prospective clients.

- @Rossmoorwc: I'm not exactly sure what you're looking for from me here, can you explain? I'll also note that if your username is a reference to the Rossmoor Walnut Creek News (or any other organization), then it's a violation of Wikipedia's username policy, which prohibits usernames which may imply shared use by multiple people. You may want to consider reviewing that policy and requesting a change of username. ‑‑ElHef (Meep?) 14:18, 16 September 2020 (UTC)

Can the material be published in some section of W? Rossmoorwc (talk) 19:43, 19 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Rossmoorwc: The information you were adding to Rossmoor, Walnut Creek, California? I took a quick look at it and I agree with its removal from the article. For one thing, Wikipedia is not a soapbox or a vehicle for scandalmongering or gossip. Secondly, Wikipedia articles are written from a neutral point of view and your additions didn't sound anywhere close to neutral. And finally, any information added to Wikipedia articles need to be verifiable and cited to a reliable source. Your own personal knowledge or opinions are not sufficient to put information into a Wikipedia article. Write neutral, verifiable prose that belongs in an encyclopedia article and you'll be headed in the right direction. ‑‑ElHef (Meep?) 20:59, 19 September 2020 (UTC)

Conficting Company Rule in India & British Raj regarding on flags
Sir,

🇮🇳DRCNSINDIA (talk) 15:39, 21 October 2020 (UTC)
- @DRCNSINDIA: I'm not at all familiar with these articles or this subject area, so I can't really respond intelligently about the content of the article. The best way to address disagreements like this is to bring it up on the article's talk page and discuss the change with the editor who reverted you. This is a very common collaborative editing cycle on Wikipedia - you can read more about it at WP:BRD. You should also avoid saying things like
"...should not be changed until messaged by me"
. Articles on Wikipedia are open to editing by anyone, at any time. Nobody owns or controls a Wikipedia article, or has the ability to dictate the content of it, regardless of who they are or what expertise they may have. Please take a look at WP:OWN for more information on this concept. ‑‑ElHef (Meep?) 17:15, 21 October 2020 (UTC)

Reliable Source
Question
RE: Donovan Mitchell Wiki
I submitted the change "Born September 7, 1996 (age 24) Elmsford, New York"
to Born "September 7, 1996 (age 24) Westchester County, NY"
The main change being that he is born in Westchester County, NY. Below is a reliable source. Donovan and his family published the below information with his former school. How should I go about adding this reliable source?

Orangemike blocked them earlier due to the name similarity to a well known figure but I see they've submitted a confirmation. I am wondering if it turned out to be what the name represents, or "Marie Goodman Hunter" that's in the user's profile. The reason is I am trying to determine if they were writing a promotional autobiography on himself or a paid editor working on his article. thanks Graywalls (talk) 22:49, 12 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Graywalls: As Keith Fowler. If it were a different person, that would rather defeat the purpose of the verification - they would have been instructed to follow the rename instructions in the block notice or create a new account. ‑‑ElHef (Meep?) 23:07, 12 March 2021 (UTC)

Submitting a new article
Dear Sir, I recently joined this platform I published the first article about a public figure 2 days ago The article was directly approved so that if I copy the article link and open it from another browser I get to the article But later, the article named خالد حنقير was deleted and didn't find it anymore on Wikipedia My questions are: - May you explain why the article was deleted Sir? While I don't see that I violated any of Wikipedia policies - I submitted again the same article, but this time as a draft, may you have a look at it to tell me if it is violating Wikipedia? and can you help me approving that article? Best Regards — Preceding unsigned comment added by AAK89 (talk • contribs)
- Hello AAK89! I don't speak Arabic, but I'll try to help as much as I can. I found the log from the Arabic Wikipedia where the article was deleted. The deletion reason given was "مقالة غير موسوعية أو خارج نطاق ويكيبيديا". I can't view the deleted article, but based on the draft article you wrote on the English Wikipedia, it appears that you haven't cited any sources at all. Articles on Wikipedia need to be verifiable - that is, other people using the encyclopedia can check that the information comes from a reliable source. Without providing these sources, we also cannot tell if the subject of the article meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines for inclusion in the encyclopedia. I don't know all of the Arabic Wikipedia's policies, but I know they are basically the same when it comes to these core principles.I won't be able to help you with an Arabic-language draft, and the article won't be able to be published on the English Wikipedia unless it's written in English. If you need assistance with publishing an article in Arabic, the best place to ask for help is on Arabic Wikipedia - you may want to try this page: ar:ويكيبيديا:فريق المساعدة/طلبات I hope this helps. Booker name
Hi. Thanks for your help with this. The source now shows Bookers real name as Booker T Huffman. We contacted the site and provided proof. Please help us make this change permanently as Meters keeps changing it back. Chr1717 (talk) 16:08, 19 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Chr1717: This needs to be discussed and resolved on the article's talk page. I don't have any special authority to make the changes stick, nor do I have any particular expertise when it comes to professional wrestling (either in general or on Wikipedia). Simply continuing to change the article is not going to get you anywhere, and in fact will make things even more difficult. If discussions don't work, there are dispute resolution mechanisms available, but discussion needs to happen first. ‑‑ElHef (Meep?) 18:14, 19 June 2021 (UTC)
Hi all. I am very confused at this point. We have reached out to several of the writers of the links you have listed as supporting evidence of Booker’s real name and they have begun updating as you can see from the article that is first referenced. We have provided those writers Booker’s ID to verify. The yahoo one in first link is an example… Chr1717 (talk) 14:39, 24 June 2021 (UTC)
Additionally, I have left a note on the talk page for Booker. Chr1717 (talk) 14:51, 24 June 2021 (UTC)
And links 7 & 9 that were used to reference Booker’s name have now been updated to Booker T Huffman Jr. Chr1717 (talk) 14:54, 24 June 2021 (UTC)
