Speedy deletion declined: Allures
Hello Eeekster. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Allures, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Source is public domain. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 21:32, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
Libzip references Libzip
Hi Eeekster! I've added references to the libzip page, as requested. Please let me know if that's sufficient. Tk (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 20:59, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
Eekster - I revised the page Shindig Events as per your helpful recommendations. Can you let me know if the article is now acceptable? Thanks, Kent Frederick http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:KentFrederick

Arkatech Beatz
I made the mistake of labeling a photo copyrighted when it was indeed free to use. I went as far as contacting the persons rep to confirm and was given the source where to take photo from. I hope this will help. Thanks

Re: CSD on File:PBA Jun Bernardino Trophy.png
Hi, just want to inform you that the original uploaded file of this trophy has been deleted in Commons just hours ago. I reuploaded this photo here in en.wiki under fair use to conform with Wikipedia's policy regarding three dimensional artworks. The photo itself was released by the owner of the photograph under CC-BY-SA license. -WayKurat (talk) 16:44, 19 September 2012 (UTC)
Hello Eeekster,
We were unaware of the restrictions on entering company information when we entered a page for The Futuro Media Group. We actually have 3rd party articles about our launch and interviews with our founder Maria Hinojosa, and will gather this information and revise the entry to meet the Wiki criteria.
As an employee of the company, is it still acceptable for me to enter this information into Wikipedia, if I am citing proper sources and using 3rd party references? I will look into the Wiki guidelines regarding that however would love to hear your thoughts.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Substandard content
Hi there,
Please can you remove the following statement from this article:
"The Polish historian Władysław Konopczyński has suggested the first concentration camps were created in Poland in the 18th century, during the Bar Confederation rebellion, when the Russian Empire established three concentration camps for Polish rebel captives awaiting deportation to Siberia.[5]"
This is a highly speculative and completely unsubstantiated statement which doesn't live up to the standards of wikipedia.
First of all, there are a great deal of other historians who may have completely different opinion on this subject and yet you chose to ignore them in favour of this particular person, which makes this article biased.
Second, the historian in question is not an internationally recognised person, general public doesn't know anything about him or his scientific work.
Third, there are no historical proofs or facts mentioned in this article which would suggest correctness of the statement above.
Sorry, but all in all this is an extremely poor article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Edudk01 (talk • contribs) 18:03, 20 September 2012 (UTC)

File:Water Utilities Corporation logo.jpg
I appreciate your pointing out the problems with File:Water Utilities Corporation logo.jpg, and fully share your concerns.
This image was uploaded with an opaque background where it should have been transparent. If possible, please upload a PNG or SVG version of this image, derived from a non-JPEG source so that it could hopefully contain an alpha channel and no compression artifacts (or with existing artifacts removed). After doing so, please replace all instances of this version throughout Wikipedia (noted under the "File links" header), and mark this image as {{obsolete|replacement image}}. For more information, see Wikipedia:Preparing images for upload. |
The white background is noticeably different from the background of the infobox in the article on Water Utilities Corporation (Botswana).
This image (or all images in this article or category) needs to have its border removed. This may also refer to rectangular solid or translucent space around and/or beside the image that needs to be removed to center the image better. Where borders are desired, they should be added with wikimarkup or code.
Any text from the border should instead be in the caption. If the border has author or license information, add it to the file's EXIF information. To crop the image yourself, use the CropTool. If cropping a JPEG, consider using a lossless cropping tool such as jpegtran. For more help, see Wikipedia:Images for cleanup. |
The border definitely makes the image smaller than it would otherwise be in the infobox.
This image was uploaded in the JPEG format even though it consists of non-photographic data. The information it contains could be stored more efficiently or more accurately in the PNG or SVG format. If possible, please upload a PNG or SVG version of this image, derived from a non-JPEG source so that it doesn't contain any compression artifacts (or with existing artifacts removed) and with transparency where appropriate. After doing so, please replace all instances of the JPEG version throughout Wikipedia (noted under the "File links" header), tag the JPEG version with {{obsolete|NewImage.ext}} , and remove this tag. For more information, see Wikipedia:Preparing images for upload.(Search for similar images) This image has been added to Category:Images with inappropriate JPEG compression. |
With JPEG this image takes up 20KB of disk space - more than another format would require.
I have hunted for PNG or SVG versions, but am starting to think that none exist. This is really bugging me. I hate to have something I started tagged with problem notices when I have no idea how to fix the problems so I can remove the notices. I don't want them to stay there forever. Do you know of any way to resolve these issues? Would you be willing to volunteer to fix them? Thanks in advance for you help on this, Aymatth2 (talk) 23:51, 21 September 2012 (UTC)
- None of those reason seem the least bit valid to me. Eeekster (talk) 00:29, 22 September 2012 (UTC)
- I may have not been clear. I fully agree with the issues pointed out by the boxes. I am asking for help in resolving the problems you have pointed out. Will you help? Aymatth2 (talk) 00:51, 22 September 2012 (UTC)
- What kind of help? The issues are noted in the templates and to resolve them you need another image that doesn't have the problems. Eeekster (talk) 00:52, 22 September 2012 (UTC)
- Can you find another image that does not have the problems? Do you know of any way to find one? Can you make one? Aymatth2 (talk) 01:03, 22 September 2012 (UTC)

Vox logo image
Hi, can you please explain why you left the message on my talk page? You said my actions didnt show proof of ownership (of File:Vox Game Logo.jpg) but I have continued to explain that I am the owner of the screenshots and creator of the game in question and even left a description on the page of IndieDB prooving that I am letting my screenshots liscenced for Creative Commons and allowed to be used on Wikipedia. Did you even read the description or permissions text that I left and also on the talk pages of the other two users who added the permissions template? I am the creator of Vox and freely allow my images to be used on wikipedia. I even added a description to the image on my IndieDB page: See the follow link : http://www.indiedb.com/games/vox/images/screenshot#imagebox SEE THE LEFT HAND DESCRIPTION BOX. I added "This file is free for Creative Commons CC-BY-SA." To clarify that I am the creator of Vox and freely allow my images to be used on Wikipedia. Thanks Moondoggy (talk) 04:00, 22 September 2012 (UTC)
- And where did this file come from? Just because it's on a webpage that you have access to doesn't make the license real. Eeekster (talk) 04:09, 22 September 2012 (UTC)
- Well you can only edit the descriptions of screenshots on game pages if you are the owner of the game, i.e. I edited the description to show that I am the creator... I thought this would be proof enough that I am the creator of the game in question.... *sigh* I guess there really is no way to prove that my account here (Moondoggy) is linked to my game. I thought Wikipedia gave the benefit of the doubt in situations like this AND even when I provided proof (adding the CC text to the image description on the games profile, like I was informed to do) seems some people just are intent to think you are up to no good... anyway I have emailed permissions@wikipedia to clarify that I am the creator of the game and give permission to use images of my game on Wikipedia... Lets see how that goes. Moondoggy (talk) 04:20, 22 September 2012 (UTC)

I have asked the owner of the image to send an email to the address you sent me. How would I know that it is okay? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Perrygogas (talk • contribs) 18:09, 23 September 2012 (UTC)
takeaway
He Eeekster, I was a bit surprised to see you read no assertion of importance in the article takeaway.com I just created. I can imagine you think it's not suitable wikipedia (we can disagree there and see where an afd goes), but I do think its turnover and market leadership in 2 countries is enough indication of importance to withdraw the speedy (for which the burden of proof is rel. low...). Am I missing something? L.tak (talk) 20:48, 23 September 2012 (UTC)
Sound & Vision India
Hello there. I see you helped contribute on Sound & Vision India, which is an Indian dubbing studio. Do you know any films that they have dubbed? I only added in four so far, but I know that they dubbed hundreds of films and over thousands of TV programs. Do you think you can help add in some?
--BlueMario1016 (talk) 17:30, 23 September 2012 (UTC)
- I know nothing about them. Just cleaned up the article some. Eeekster (talk) 21:33, 23 September 2012 (UTC)
Platform Racing 3 Image
Thank you for informing me about the issue with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Platform_Racing_3.jpg. I just sent an email to Jiggmin asking for permission a few minutes ago. I will forward their responses to the email if I get them. Sorry about that. EDIT: 9-24-12. Forwarded the response to permissions-en@wikimedia.org. GeorgiePooPR2 (talk) 01:38, 23 September 2012 (UTC)
Page Curation newsletter
Hey Eeekster/Archives/2012. I'm dropping you a note because you used to (or still do!) patrol new pages. This is just to let you know that we've deployed and developed Page Curation, which augments and supersedes Special:NewPages - there are a lot of interesting new features :). There's some help documentation here if you want to familiarise yourself with the system and start using it. If you find any bugs or have requests for new features, let us know here. Thanks! Speedy Deletion of page LYNX (Musician)
What would be required to indicate the significance of the artist mentioned to warrant keeping the page? Looking over notability guidelines gives me little indication as to what exactly is lacking. This is a person who has a body of work that is publish, more that is to be published, and involvement with other acts that have solid Wikipedia pages as well. Taking a look at Beats Antique (her strongest connection) shows little more than what is contained here and is probably about as notable. I'm trying to get more understanding of the categorization.
Thank you for your time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Infosocialist (talk • contribs) 03:57, 25 September 2012 (UTC)
