Will Poulter

[edit]

This was an interesting one. I stumbled onto that edinburghfestival.list.co.uk article in August (the one that seems to state that Will's mother is Jewish). But I just couldn't confirm it, so I didn't put it into the article. I managed to find more on his mother now. She was born Caroline Barrah. I believe she was born in Kenya, and I am pretty sure that the man in this obituary was Will's maternal grandfather. So, Will's maternal grandparents were likely Jack Barrah and Patricia Patterson, and from everything I can find on them, I am very sure they weren't Jewish. The wording in that original article was just slightly odd. All Hallow's Wraith (talk) 09:21, 17 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Well, it looks like I was too late in removing it - it has already spread elsewhere. The cyclical chain reaction has began. All Hallow's Wraith (talk) 16:54, 17 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the info! Looks like the JC article has been removed. Edenc1Talk 05:30, 19 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
They published a correction and asked his mother directly. Well, that settles that. All Hallow's Wraith (talk) 00:39, 3 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Edenc1, the IP-hopping user (mostly originating at USC, all in the LA area) keeps adding in information in celebrity bios (including Jason Segal, too), that they are dating Victoria's Secret models, always unsourced. But it's clearly the same user. I can not touch the article again right now so could you check in on it? By the way, I've posted warning notices on all of the IPs' talk pages but that doesn't mean that the editor has seen them. Liz Read! Talk! 21:48, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Both pages now have temporary protection from editors who are not confirmed. Liz Read! Talk! 21:58, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

"They are also popular among Syrian, Lebanese and Egyptian Jewish communities, where ma'amoul with nut fillings are eaten on Purim, and ma'amoul with date fillings are eaten on Rosh Hashanah and Hanukkah.
The Levantine Jewish version of ma'amoul differs from the general Levantine or Turkish versions by being made with pure white flour and no semolina."

Read WP:UPNO, and stop adding useless warnings to my talk page. Remove your Anti-Semitic texts and images from your userpage, or I will report you. Edenc1Talk 00:10, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, why cant you also stop your Anti Arabist sentiment. There is nothing Anti Semitic on the userpage. I as a Palestinian oppose the establishment of an illegal religious state on my land. If you have examples provide them. I do not have time for this sterile talk.--Uishaki (talk) 00:16, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Did you ever read WP:UPNO? Remove anything that is "against" group, state, people or anything else. Edenc1Talk 00:20, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Oh my God, Yes i read it. Why do you focus only on me, there is a lot of users who express their opinions clearly; User:Nairobi123 are against the state of North Korea, User:Arthur B are against Islam, User:Thundera m117 are against Islam, and Palestinians in Gaza, [1].--Uishaki (talk) 00:30, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
So what? You can report them if you want. Edenc1Talk 00:39, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Can you say what you really want and be finished?--Uishaki (talk) 00:46, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I already did: "Remove anything that is 'against' group, state, people or anything else". Edenc1Talk 00:48, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Interview invitation from a Wikipedia researcher in the University of Minnesota

[edit]

I am Weiwen Leung, a student at the University of Minnesota. I am currently conducting a study on how people on the LGBT+ Wikipedians group use and contribute to Wikipedia.

Would you be willing to answer a short 5 minute survey? If so, please email me at leung085@umn.edu. It would be helpful if you could include your Wikipedia username when emailing.

Thank you, Weiwen — Preceding unsigned comment added by Weiwensg (talkcontribs) 03:11, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
