Reverting

Please don’t revert. You are sexist. Scoobybay26 (talk) 07:14, 8 March 2018 (UTC)

Please don’t revert. You are homophobic. --Ebyabe talk - Repel All Boarders07:42, 8 March 2018 (UTC)

Please keep an extra eye on this one. --IJBall (contribstalk) 22:37, 2 April 2018 (UTC)

Ok. --Ebyabe talk - Inspector General23:51, 2 April 2018 (UTC)

Ebyabe, dunno if you have this one on your watchlist but, if you don't, could you please add it? I have had on-and-off issues with IP editors at this article over the years. The most recent edit from the IP is fine, but I'd prefer another set of eyes on this article... Thanks! --IJBall (contribstalk) 22:37, 16 April 2018 (UTC)

Seth Rogen- www.donateHFC.com edits rejected?

Hi Ebyabe, Re: "Seth Rogen 81 BYTES REMOVED, 15 HOURS AGO Reverted 2 edits by Vid2vid (talk): No inline linking pls. (TW)" Please elaborate on why, and, who are you? Thanks -Peter Vid2vid (talk) 18:51, 10 April 2018 (UTC)

In this case, it was putting a link into the body of the text that was not a reference. The link was already used and placing it in the article was unneeded. Who am I? Just one of the many nameless faceless volunteer editors on Wikipedia. --Ebyabe talk - Inspector General23:32, 16 April 2018 (UTC)
@Vid2vid: I responded here on my talk page. Btw, another user reverted your edit as well. --Ebyabe talk - State of the Union18:37, 18 April 2018 (UTC)

Hello Ebyabe. I was happy to find some photos of Putnam Lodge you took. I created an article on it and Shamrock (which was almost deleted as a hoax!!!). I also created articles for some of the other unincorporated areas in Dixie County such as Shired Island and Eugene, Florida. I will try to take a look for photos or if you have any ideas please let me know. I thought it was neat that the lodge has been renovated and reopened since you visited in 2011. Great to see history treasured. FloridaArmy (talk) 00:15, 21 April 2018 (UTC)

Hi! I'm always happy to see history preserved instead of paved under. Hopefully I'll be getting back to roadtripping more again, so more pictures in general should be available. Cheers!  :) --Ebyabe talk - General Health06:20, 21 April 2018 (UTC)

Thank you

I have been embarrassed as a pre-net generation person who is not very savvy and you were very kind to me today. It brought tears to my eyes, literally. I am now feeling such aversion to the response to hours of well intentioned effort that I don't know if I will bother further but you considered my health, and that meant so much to me. Thank you, I am glad you are here. I feel self conscious lately having been put into Cannes for a film I starred in, and i had time, and asked for help - this wasn't expected and I now wish i had said nothing, or had never had the page contain my data. Today, you made me feel human. -with graititude, megamediamissus -I have just requested the deletion be carried out having read earlier comments by admins and lost faith in this community, but with exception to you. Again, thank you for your decorum

I don't know what to expect but you are right, and you are appreciated.

Sources

Unless a discussion has specifically taken place about a specific source to prove that a website being cited is unreliable, then it is simply your own opinion. If you would like to question the reliability of a source you must create a discussion about that source before claiming it to be unreliable. An example of this can be found at WP:DAILYMAIL. Unless you can give some concrete arguments for a sources' unreliability, then it constitutes an inherit bias on your part for assuming a source is unreliable. Thank You and good day. Vandal question

Ebyabe, there's a long-term(?) vandal that hits all the articles related to Thomas & Friends, yes? What is the background on this? – Are they a socker? Is there a WP:LTA page?... The reason I'm asking is there has been an IPv6 (hopping) editor that has hit Thomas & Friends articles, as well as a number of "kids shows"-related articles I watch, for quite some time, and I'm starting to wonder if it's all the same vandal. TIA... --IJBall (contribstalk) 22:19, 25 April 2018 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure it is, but honestly I've gotten tired of them and have taken all Thomas related articles off my watch list. --Ebyabe talk - Opposites Attract04:44, 26 April 2018 (UTC)

So, it there either a WP:SPI or a WP:LTA page on this user? Thanks. --IJBall (contribstalk) 13:02, 26 April 2018 (UTC)
Probably, but I can't remember who it is. @Sro23: might have an idea. --Ebyabe talk - Welfare State07:08, 27 April 2018 (UTC)
Can't seem to remember either. It's on the tip of my tongue... Sro23 (talk) 04:19, 30 April 2018 (UTC)
Just came to me. This guy. Maybe it's him, maybe it's not. The edit pattern is similar. --Ebyabe talk - Inspector General04:22, 30 April 2018 (UTC)
OK, thanks. Knowing this should be helpful... --IJBall (contribstalk) 13:08, 30 April 2018 (UTC)

I have an IP disruptively adding poorly/unsourced (and basically trivial) bio info to this WP:BLP. Would appreciate more eyes on it. I'll ping Geraldo Perez on this as well. Thanks. --IJBall (contribstalk) 19:54, 30 April 2018 (UTC)

Yes, I have also had problems with this editor – exact same 'rowspan' issue. Considering this has been going to for years(?) AFAICR, this editing pattern can be fully called "disruptive" at this point. If they keep it up, WP:ANI may be the next stop... --IJBall (contribstalk) 19:07, 1 May 2018 (UTC)

Florida pictures

Hello! I have been recently updating articles within the Southwest Florida region (more exact - Sarasota and Manatee counties) and have been enjoying the pictures you have uploaded to MANY different landmarks in the area. Thank you so much for the content! I have been debating on uploading some of my photos to the Wikimedia Commons ever since seeing your content. So far, I've only been skimming the surface with uploading photos. ♫ TheGridExe (talk) 17:07, 22 April 2018 (UTC)

Thank you! I have had much fun and learned a lot on my numerous photo roadtrips. I've had a hiatus, but should be starting up again. Please upload photos, we can always use more. :) --Ebyabe talk - Repel All Boarders18:46, 22 April 2018 (UTC)
I'm currently uploading photos here and there but at the same time I don't want to seem like I'm stepping on your toes if I happen to upload a photo that is an updated one that you provided. I wouldn't want to replace photos (in articles) as even the difference in 5+ years between imagery shows changes around the historical items. Probably the best example is Egbert Reasoner House as it was demolished in 2015, a RaceTrac was put in its place, and the historical marker was moved a bit west. (I really question Manatee County at times.) – TheGridExe (talk) 15:52, 3 May 2018 (UTC)
If the photo shows a major change, just add it to the article. That way it will show a "before and after". If you have a better photo, though, please feel free to replace that. Some pictures I took were when the weather was bad or the lighting otherwise not good. I figured, better something than nothing. But now that I've got most of what I wanted to photograph, I can go back to some of the places and take better ones. Btw, if you don't mind me asking, where are you generally located? I'm in Marion County, which is an ideal spot to get Florida pictures, since I can pretty much daytrip anywhere in the state. Cheers! :) --Ebyabe talk - Repel All Boarders18:09, 3 May 2018 (UTC)
I'm in Southwest Florida but I do travel here and there when I have the time. I still have a lot to see of the state. – TheGridExe (talk) 14:38, 4 May 2018 (UTC)
I had a feeling, based on the articles you're editing. Happy to provide travel recommendations whenever possible.  :) --Ebyabe talk - General Health17:14, 4 May 2018 (UTC)

Ebyabe, just dropping you a note that I restored the earlier format of the WP:FILMOGRAPHY at this article (as well as restoring WP:BLPNAMES-compliance to the 'Personal life' section). The Filmography was changed without discussion sometime since the start of 2018, and it's a non-standard format, so I see no reason to justify the change, and have gone back to the "standard" version. --IJBall (contribstalk) 01:36, 6 May 2018 (UTC)

Advice you Not to interfere in the Internal affairs of Serbia

Sir, I strongly advice you Not to interfere in the Internal affairs of Republic of Serbia, as you did here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Vanjagenije#Pitanje . 77.46.231.199 (talk) 10:59, 15 May 2018 (UTC)

To those who came to my defense, much appreciation. To the IP, howdy. I see you've been blocked already. Colour me surprised. That is very thoughtful of you. Ironically, the fact I had an abundance of TIMe led to my reaching out for help, but I am truly unwell, and i certainly appreciate your kind consideration of my wellbeing. Take care. I don't know what to expect but you are right, and you are appreciated.

Establishments

Hey! For buildings and other things like that, I definitely do use the year construction finished. Historic Districts are weird though I think, because the structures making up the District were likely built across many years. So that establishment date represents when the District was formally recognized. Like, the area that is now the St. Augustine Town Plan Historic District definitely existed before 1970, but 1970 was the year of establishment for the Historic District itself. Let me know what you think! American Money (talk) 19:31, 14 May 2018 (UTC)

Ah, I see the distinction you're making. Makes sense now. Cheers!  :) --Ebyabe talk - General Health18:03, 15 May 2018 (UTC)

For anyone watching my page, how can my watchlist be returned to the original format? I hate the spacing. I can't find any way to do it in preferences. ==Ebyabe talk - Welfare State05:26, 29 June 2018 (UTC)

I haven't noticed a change in spacing, but as of some 12 hours ago my watchlist no longer shows which pages have had changes since the last time I visited. I wasn't sure where to file my complaint. - Donald Albury 11:39, 29 June 2018 (UTC)

Hardee County, Florida

Why did you revert my edit on the Hardee County page with the reason (unsorted)? Wikipedia isn't a good enough source for you? Or you just don't feel like adding the countries largest open pit phosphate mining operation to the page is relevant? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.23.115.207 (talk) 02:23, 8 July 2018 (UTC)

Proving my point. And again. And again. Also that's the thing. You can't NOT post on that forum. Like you can't stop making edits on Wikipedia, even knowing they will always be reverted. So. --Ebyabe talk - Opposites Attract ‖ 9 July 2018 (UTC)

Miami talk page

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Miami#Changing_collage_and_removing_multiple_skylines Check this please. It is much needed. Sorry for you having to get involved, but this just seems to be another edit war...--TheTexasNationalist99 (talk) 16:33, 9 July 2018 (UTC)

It is an edit war. You are the one warring. Btw, the collage you are using includes a picture I took, so if anything I should be biased towards keeping your collage. But the principle is Bold, Revert, Discuss. You were reverted by SeminoleNation, now it is discuss. You are not supposed to revert to your preferred version, no matter how right you feel it is. Thank you and have a pleasant day. --Ebyabe (talk) 16:55, 9 July 2018 (UTC)
I am the one warring, in your opinion. Seminole has blatantly reverted edits I've made numerous times, and if you check the grammar fixes among other things in each edit we've both had, you will see good faith and bad faith. Nevertheless we are discussing on the talk page right now. --TheTexasNationalist99 (talk) 16:59, 9 July 2018 (UTC)
Good. Especially since the page has been locked so only administrators can change it. Discuss. --Ebyabe (talk) 17:03, 9 July 2018 (UTC)
Thank you for helping to mend this user conflict.--TheTexasNationalist99 (talk) 17:10, 9 July 2018 (UTC)

...Could use some 'rowspan' cleanup after an editor there recently made about 1000 edits, and violated WP:ACCESS repeatedly in the 'Filmography' tables. The 'Awards' table is similarly a mess. I may get to it, but if I don't... --IJBall (contribstalk) 18:40, 9 July 2018 (UTC)

That's so weird. I was just looking at his page when I got your message. I'll see what I can do. --Ebyabe (talk) 18:41, 9 July 2018 (UTC)
Not as bad as I thought. That's fixed.  :) --Ebyabe (talk) 18:56, 9 July 2018 (UTC)

Rollback?

Hi Ebyabe, I see you're a rollbacker on Commons, and given your track record of reverting vandalism/BLP violations using tools like WP:TW, how would you like the rollbacker flag here? Sro23 (talk) 03:48, 15 July 2018 (UTC)

I didn't realize I didn't have it here. Certainly, I'm sure it would be helpful. Thanks! --Ebyabe (talk) 07:07, 15 July 2018 (UTC)

Socking

Does Special:Contributions/Now_listen_here_folks look familiar? I've seen him editing for the past week, but he didn't tick the usual boxes, though many of his changes were unnecessary. Initially he focused on aviation topics, but has broadened to his usual range of topics in the last few days. I haven't filed an SPI yet, as I wanted to get other opinions first. Thanks. - BilCat (talk) 19:33, 29 July 2018 (UTC)

De Leon Springs

I used to go to the springs when I was a kid and visiting my great-grandmother who lived in Glenwood, Florida on a lovely shell road with trees down the middle. It was pretty rustic then, but lovely except for the horseflies. I see the Glenwood article mentions Jacob B. Conrad, who I think was her brother. The article's a bit confused as the Bond lumber company was established by Bond and Conrad. Doug Weller talk 16:06, 6 September 2018 (UTC)

I love the park, and it's not terribly far from where I live. I like the mill turned into a restaurant there, but it's best to go there in the winter since it gets very hot inside. --Ebyabe (talk) 16:29, 6 September 2018 (UTC)

Please keep an extra eye on this article – we've got some suspicious 'rowspan' editing from an editor that may be a sock of somebody else... --IJBall (contribstalk) 07:18, 23 September 2018 (UTC):s

Prisoner lists

Hi! In regards to this edit I noticed that with federal prisons a lot of the lists do include their prison IDs. AFAIK there's no guideline on whether they should be kept and there has been no discussion on whether they should be kept. It's just an observation I made about other articles.

I know with US prison IDs prisoners can be looked up online easily (on whether there's a change in where they are).

WhisperToMe (talk) 17:18, 28 September 2018 (UTC)

It just seemed rather trivial and didn't contribute to the article. Sort of like baby names of celebrities. --Ebyabe (talk) 04:02, 29 September 2018 (UTC)

Could you please keep an eye on this article, if you aren't already? – We have another editor that refuses to follow WP:ACCESS, and I've now left 2 warning on their Talk page about it... Thanks. --IJBall (contribstalk) 03:03, 1 October 2018 (UTC)

Added to watchlist. I removed all but the year rowspans, b/c apparently they're ok according to policy. Which doesn't make sense to me, but oh well. --Ebyabe (talk) 05:00, 1 October 2018 (UTC)
They are, but that doesn't mean we need to keep them (local consensus, and all that) – I'll be removing those from the 'Year' column as well (WP:STATUSQUO) in the next day or so. Thanks for adding it to the watchlist – I'm afraid that editor will be back, and as they never even asked about rowspan after being reverted, and I'm getting the impression they're not very interested in the policy on this question... --IJBall (contribstalk) 16:27, 1 October 2018 (UTC)
And now we have an IP (almost certainly the same editor), at it again – the edits to the 'Accolades' table are 100% WP:ACCESS violations, and should be reverted. --IJBall (contribstalk) 16:35, 1 October 2018 (UTC)
