Please keep an eye on this one, if you wouldn't mind. It's currently on semi-protection, so I've taken the opportunity to clean it up, but we still have some autoconfirmed editors that don't get that Wikipedia ≠ IMDb... --IJBall (contribs • talk) 12:24, 10 April 2017 (UTC)

11 April 2017 Sean Boswell, played by Lucas Black, will have a role in The Fate Of The Furious. http://comicbook.com/popculturenow/2016/12/12/the-fate-of-the-furious-features-return-of-tokyo-drift-character/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aat000 (talk • contribs) 07:00, 11 April 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you for providing a reference so the information can be included. This has been done. Interestingly, there is no mention of him being in the movie on IMDB. That's not a reliable source, but it is interesting. It's possible that since that article got published he has been taken out of the movie. Until then, it's included. Jude Law
About your reverting of my editing on the Jude Law page. The current Personal life section contains this statement: "In 2015, Rafferty was named one of GQ's 50 best dressed British men." So, who's Lafferty? And why was he named one of the best dressed British men? What's that got to do with Law's personal life? The statement feels entirely random because the page is missing the crucial information about this "Lafferty" person. My editing provided a simple answer by indicating the name of the previously mentioned, unnamed son (and for the sake of equality, the other two offspring mentioned in the same sentence), and the reasons why he would ever appear on GQ. It wasn't extraneous information at all. On the contrary, the only other option is to remove that part entirely. Either that, or explain it the way I did. Kumagoro-42 12:39, 17 April 2017 (UTC)

MGM Home Entertainment
As far as I can tell, this edit was blanking from the Teenage Fairytale Dropouts vandal. It was reverted by an IP sock of Nate Speed (talk · contribs). I reverted the blanking by the first vandal, but you restored it because Nate Speed also reverted it. Am I missing something? If you think the content is incorrect, I could try to source it, but I honestly don't like working on film studio/distributor articles all that much despite being one of the most active admins in this topic. The only reason I edit them is because they attract so many socks and long-term vandals, and it took me a while to figure out this 2001:8003 IP was also one of them. I've had already range blocked it several times without realizing it was an LTA. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 05:28, 2 May 2017 (UTC)
- See the rant two sections above. It's the stuff that the IP wants added. It all is a bit confusing. I may be wrong on this, I'll trust your better judgement. --‖ Ebyabe talk - Border Town ‖ 05:46, 2 May 2017 (UTC)
- Yeah, I saw the rant. It's typical for Nate Speed, and I've blocked him several times. If he bothers you again, you can leave me a message on my talk page, and I'll block his latest sock. As far as this content goes, Nate Speed wants it in the article. The Teenage Fairytales Dropout vandal wants it out of the article. I'm curious why you choose to support the edits of the first vandal over those of Nate Speed. Do you think the content is wrong? This source lists an MGM Home Entertainment film distributed by Shock DVD, and Warner Home Video is already cited in the article (but it looks like it may not be to a very reliable source). From my cursory work in trying to figure this out, it looks like the content is probably correct. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 06:12, 2 May 2017 (UTC)
- So there are two vandals involved? I was unaware. I generally don't support edits of people that called me Nazi Commmunist KKK etc. Others were reverting the vandalism for some time as well (User:Sro23 and User:Materialscientist, for example). I guess there's overlap between the two vandals. If you think it's ok to restore Nate Speed's edits, then that's enough for me. I just hate seeing any vandal's edits 'approved'. I thought that's what WP:DENY was for. Maybe remove the info from both of them? The http/https thing over the wsj link is completely looney tho. It resolves to https. I guess that's why I'm not an admin, I don't have to deal with these kind of headaches. Cheers and thanks for keeping Wikipedia going. :) --‖ Ebyabe talk - Attract and Repel ‖ 17:59, 2 May 2017 (UTC)

The statistic I've added is noteworthy, verifiable and comes from a trustworthy source. Leave as is and do not revert. Sean 2015 (talk) 02:37, 24 May 2017 (UTC)
- Please do not tell others what to do or not do on Wikipedia. Your commentary could be loosely construed as a personal attack. Your move of the information to the Economy section is an improvement, as it goes with the other similar commentary. I relocated it a bit further down, so it won't be confused with the Forbes ref and it is chronological order.
- Btw, I am from Miami originally. And I think that section understates how bad Miami has become. I wouldn't want to live there again. Visit, yes, live there, no. --‖ Ebyabe talk - Health and Welfare ‖ 05:20, 24 May 2017 (UTC)
- The idea that others could have construed such mild words as a "personal attack" is silly. On that note, one of the other editors did the exact same thing to me (look at the History page), and in the past I've been on the receiving end of this type of thing plenty of times from editors of other articles.
- In any event, I'm perfectly fine with my passage being located in the Economy section (in my original response I mentioned that I had moved it to the Economy section thinking that it would be a better "fit" there than in the Introductory section). I think the other editors could have shown a little more effort and consideration by relocating the passage rather than arbitrarily deleting it.
- I had typed a longer and more detailed response on the Talk page and I thought I had saved it, but it did not appear when I went back to check. I'm not sure what I did wrong. Incidentally I'm not from South Florida originally, but I spent a few years living there, so I agree about Miami's economic woes and I'm more than happy to add verifiable and reputable information to this section. While we're on the subject, I'd like to call your attention to the last paragraph of the section which I believe contains some continuity errors and redundancies, particularly the section which I've highlighted in bold:
- According to the U.S. Census Bureau, in 2004, Miami had the third highest incidence of family incomes below the federal poverty line in the United States, making it the third poorest city in the USA, behind only Detroit, Michigan (ranked #1) and El Paso, Texas (ranked #2). Miami is also one of the very few cities where its local government went bankrupt, in 2001.[87] However, since that time, Miami has experienced a revival: in 2008, Miami was ranked as "America's Cleanest City" according to Forbes for its year-round good air quality, vast green spaces, clean drinking water, clean streets and citywide recycling programs.[14] In a 2009 UBS study of 73 world cities, Miami was ranked as the richest city in the United States (of four U.S. cities included in the survey) and the world's fifth-richest city, in terms of purchasing power.[15]
- The paragraph begins with a mention of Miami's poverty rate and prior bankruptcy, and then attempts to refute this by mentioning Miami's clean air and drinking water (two completely different issues: economic and environmental). Also, that last sentence (regarding Miami being the fifth-richest city in terms of purchasing power) already appears in the introductory paragraph of the article, so I would like to go ahead and delete it. Your thoughts? Sean 2015 (talk) 06:42, 24 May 2017 (UTC)

James Marster, Other Work, Dresden Files
If you are not going to let me update the section on his dresden files work, then you need to do it. The current section makes ZERO sense as its a series of disconnected statements that contradict themselves. James is the narrator for ALL 15 dresden files novels, he has gone on to narrate an entirely new series of books as well. Please correct this section or find someoe who will. It is ridiculous than such an incredible actor, and wonderful person should have such a jacked up wiki page Lorethiel (talk) 19:15, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
- The current information is correct and properly referenced.. All you have to do is provide sources for the new information. Also, articles must be written in neutral tone. "The book was released and fans rejoiced" is far from that. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, not a fan page. How 'incredible' or 'wonderful' a person may be is beside the point, and not impartial. One's opinion of a subject (and I think Marsters is great) must not be allowed to colour the coverage of the subject. Thank you. --‖ Ebyabe talk - Opposites Attract ‖ 05:27, 27 May 2017 (UTC)
Ginnifer Goodwin Page
Hi, this is 172.250.87.105. I am sorry for any confusion I might have caused, but I think it does not cause any harm to add an upcoming project to an actor's page, and a theatre run isn't all that different. I wasn't trying to promote anything at all, I'm not affiliated with Ginny so it was kind of blunt and surprising when others made it that way. I was just adding another production she participates in onto her page alongside her other projects. Please state why the edit doesn't belong on the page. Thank you! - rosmaries19
- It is promoting the play. That's not what Wikipedia is for. There are other avenues and websites to advertise. Also, there should be coverage in secondary sources to prove the notability. Vic Elmes
I am new to wikipedia, so please forgive if I may be wrong to writing here. I already added more times that Vic Elmes has passed away and people still erase the news. Well I am his friend, colleague, played and recorded with him. Unfortunately he is dead. He wanted privacy, so the new of his departure had not place on major newspapers. But you can easily find records on the sources I provided: his manager website, and his ex band member tribute (Paul fenton and Lem Lubin) on Jeff Christie's facebook page. A tribute will be made on Jeff official page in the next days. His death was so unexpected and kept private by his wife that, as you see, even his mates had no news until today. You may want to keep an eye on User:Aries326 – they're making a lot of changes to various Filmographies: some of the changes are improvements, but a number of them can be considered questionable (e.g. adding an appearance on Entertainment Tonight, etc.). Also, their edit summaries are consistently somewhere between vague to somewhat misleading. Oh, they're also massively over-stuffing the 'occupation' parameter in a number of actor bios. Just so you know... --IJBall (contribs • talk) 04:47, 2 May 2017 (UTC)
- I did sort of notice. Something to occupy me until the next vandal overreaction attack. :) --‖ Ebyabe talk - Union of Opposites ‖ 05:04, 2 May 2017 (UTC)
This one is still driving me somewhat to distraction – they refuse to italicize titles (after I've already left them a message about it), among other things. They also insist upon including "short films" in Filmography-listings despite the fact that most short films will not be notable and we're NOTIMDB, etc. Anyway, still needs to be monitored, unfortunately... 00:47, 24 May 2017 (UTC)
- It does seem like some of their edits are good and some are... not. I'll look more carefully at them. ;) --‖ Ebyabe talk - Repel All Boarders ‖ 02:06, 24 May 2017 (UTC)
And still problematic – close to edit warring unsourced content into Shelley Hennig (and pretty much actual edit warring on Jill Wagner). I don't know what to do about this one – they don't seem to be getting better. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 05:10, 3 June 2017 (UTC)
- I'm reverting. --‖ Ebyabe talk - Inspector General ‖ 05:46, 3 June 2017 (UTC)
Ebyabe, do you know if Aries326 was the one who added that series of broken-URL references to Holland Roden? If so, we have a serious WP:CIR case on our hands, IMO... --IJBall (contribs • talk) 16:26, 20 June 2017 (UTC)
- Looks like it. I'm wondering if their productive editting is outweighed by all the non-useful edits they make. :( --‖ Ebyabe talk - Union of Opposites ‖ 19:09, 20 June 2017 (UTC)
- That's my thinking as well – between the continued addition of "pre-production" projects to the inability to use italics when required to these completely FUBAR'ed attempts at adding references, I'm thinking the minuses outweigh the pluses. I'm not ready to go to WP:ANI yet. But if this keeps up... --IJBall (contribs • talk) 21:05, 20 June 2017 (UTC)
