Muizzu

Hi

Solih decision is after Majlis's decision. Do you have english source? We need translated source. Panam2014 (talk) 14:42, 5 October 2023 (UTC)

Nope. Solih's decision was in a press meeting held on the morning of October 2. The People's Majlis officially announced the date at around 11:15 AM the same day. Also, Solih said that "his administration is pursuing legal avenues to ensure a seamless transition of power to the president-elect on November 11, 2023, without any legal hindrances". They have not yet announced if the inauguration is preponed. It's not up to the president to choose a date for the inauguration. That is done by the parliament and as of today, the inauguration is still set for the 17th. -- EN-Jungwon 15:19, 5 October 2023 (UTC)
But parliament have not rejected Solih's decision. We should write a paragraph in Muizzu's page. Panam2014 (talk) 15:39, 5 October 2023 (UTC)
They still have to confirm it. Even if Solih and vice president Faisal resigns on 11 November, Muizzu won't become president till 17th when he gets inaugurated. The presidency will just go to the president of parliment. -- EN-Jungwon 15:59, 5 October 2023 (UTC)
Please add info. Also, do you have partisanship's history of Muizzu? Panam2014 (talk) 16:14, 5 October 2023 (UTC)
This article might be of some help. There might be more about it in his manifesto. -- EN-Jungwon 06:39, 6 October 2023 (UTC)

Little help

Hello, I hope you're doing great! I wanted to give my userpage a personal touch. When I visited your userpage a few days ago, I was really impressed by its format, so I decided to use your code with some customizations. However, it seems that something isn't working quite right. If you have a moment, could you please take a look at it on both mobile and desktop views and help me fix the code? Your assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance! – DreamRimmer (talk) 11:46, 4 November 2023 (UTC)

@DreamRimmer I don't see any issues on the desktop version. However, the mobile version seems to have some issues. I'm not really sure how to fix that. -- EN-Jungwon 15:26, 4 November 2023 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page List of Inkigayo Chart winners (2016), may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A "bare URL and missing title" error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 12:28, 6 November 2023 (UTC)

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:00, 28 November 2023 (UTC)

People's Majlis

Hi

Why MNP does not have PG with 2 seats but PPM/PNC have one? Panam2014 (talk) 09:22, 29 November 2023 (UTC)

@Panam2014 could you clarify what you mean by that? I'm not sure I understand what you are asking for. -- EN-Jungwon 09:30, 29 November 2023 (UTC)
Here. Panam2014 (talk) 09:32, 29 November 2023 (UTC)
Yep that's true. See here for the full list of MPs. -- EN-Jungwon 09:38, 29 November 2023 (UTC)
Why for MNP, and no for PPM/PNC/MDA? Panam2014 (talk) 13:38, 29 November 2023 (UTC)
I'm sorry @Panam2014, but I still don't understand what you are saying. Why what for MNP? Please clarify. -- EN-Jungwon 14:41, 29 November 2023 (UTC)
PPM/PNC/MDA still have a PG with 2 MP. Panam2014 (talk) 22:15, 29 November 2023 (UTC)
What is PG? -- EN-Jungwon 10:27, 30 November 2023 (UTC)

Hello EN-Jungwon, I hope you are doing well. The current paragraph in the "Guideline and policy news" section of the newsletter seems confusing in its wording. I suggest the following replacement for clarity: Following a talk page discussion, the Administrators' accountability policy has been updated to note that while it is considered best practice for administrators to have notifications (pings) enabled, this is not mandatory. Administrators who do not use notifications are now strongly encouraged to indicate this on their user page.DreamRimmer (talk) 10:14, 30 November 2023 (UTC)

November Admin newsletter

Hy, I've noticed that Dreamy Jazz has been offline for the last three days. If there are no technical news or miscellaneous entries for the November newsletter, could you remove those headings? I want to make sure we send it on time. Thanks! – DreamRimmer (talk) 13:10, 7 December 2023 (UTC)

I checked T:CENT for any policy news and Tech News for any technical news and found nothing more to add. Mentioning @Cabayi to send out the newsletter as they had previously sent the September newsletter. -- EN-Jungwon 14:54, 7 December 2023 (UTC)
I'd like to request @Cabayi to assign MMS rights to either you or me because we regularly write the Admin newsletter. This way, we can ensure timely distribution. – DreamRimmer (talk) 16:09, 7 December 2023 (UTC)

Arbitration

  • Following a motion, the Extended Confirmed Restriction has been amended, removing the allowance for non-extended-confirmed editors to post constructive comments on the "Talk:" namespace. Now, non-extended-confirmed editors may use the "Talk:" namespace solely to make edit requests related to articles within the topic area, provided that their actions are not disruptive.
  • The Arbitration Committee has announced a call for Checkusers and Oversighters, stating that it will currently be accepting applications for CheckUser and/or Oversight permissions at any point in the year.
  • Eligible users are invited to vote on candidates for the Arbitration Committee until 23:59 December 11, 2023 (UTC). Candidate statements can be seen here.

Congratulations, EN-Jungwon! The list you nominated, List of Inkigayo Chart winners (2015), has been promoted to featured status, recognizing it as one of the best lists on Wikipedia. The nomination discussion has been archived.
This is a rare accomplishment and you should be proud. If you would like, you may nominate it to appear on the Main page as Today's featured list. Keep up the great work! Cheers, PresN (talk) via FACBot (talk) 00:25, 9 December 2023 (UTC)

Mass message sender granted

{{safesubst:require subst|template=Mass message sender granted|1=

Hello. Your account has been granted the "massmessage-sender" user right, allowing you to send messages to multiple users at once. A few important things to note:

  • Messages should only be sent to groups of users who are likely to be interested in the topic.
  • For regular mailings such as those for WikiProjects, localized events, or newsletters, users should be informed of how they can unsubscribe from future mailings.
  • The mass messaging tool should never be used for canvassing with the intention of influencing the outcome of discussions.
  • You can create a new MMS list of users by moving one from this page.
  • It is usually best to send a test message to yourself, ensuring that the test message doesn't break talk page sections, and that the test message has a timestamp (for bot archiving).
  • It is best to use {{No ping}} when linking to users, so that you do not receive hundreds of pings when sending the message.

For more information, refer to the guidance for use. If you do not want mass message sender rights anymore, just let me or any other administrator know and we will remove it. Thank you and happy editing! <!

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Marshall Islands at the 2020 Summer Olympics you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. The article Marshall Islands at the 2020 Summer Olympics you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Marshall Islands at the 2020 Summer Olympics for comments about the article, and Talk:Marshall Islands at the 2020 Summer Olympics/GA1 for the nomination. Well done! If the article has never appeared on the Main Page as a "Did you know" item, and has not appeared within the last year either as "Today's featured article", or as a bold link under "In the news" or in the "On this day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear at DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On this day" column do not affect DYK eligibility. Wishing you a happy 2024! Happy holidays
