I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Lark Street, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:Lark Street. You may remove the deletion notice, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. A tag has been placed on SibNet, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is an article about a certain website, blog, forum, or other web content that does not assert the importance or significance of that web location. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles, as well as notability guidelines for websites. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page, and put a note on Talk:SibNet. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Leebo86 06:35, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- Please understand that the tag for speedy deletion is not a comment on the subject, but it's simply a standard process of removing articles that do not justify why the subject is worthy of being on Wikipedia. These standards can be found here. Typically, the subject needs to be the focus of multiple non-trivial written publications. Then these need to be cited in the article. If SibNet meets these standards, please place {{hangon}} at the top of the article (without removing the speedy deletion tag). Leebo86 06:46, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- Ah, there's a Sibnet article and a SibNet article... I only tagged SibNet, but someone else has tagged Sibnet. I'm sorry, but I don't think that the deletion can be postponed without fulfilling the criteria I mentioned above. It sounds like a nice group, and I'm sorry to hear that it may be going down, but unfortunately Wikipedia is not the right place for it. Leebo86 07:02, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of John A. Hartford
[edit]A tag has been placed on John A. Hartford, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD a7.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Blair - Speak to me 04:34, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
