Tusnelda Sanders moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Tusnelda Sanders, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) In addition, there is not enough information in existing sources for them to pass WP:VERIFY. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Dear MurielMary
Not sure what gave you the idea that Tusnelda Sanders is not worth a biographical page on Wikipedia because she and her art most definitely are worth a page. She is a well-known artist in both France and North America, sells well in both places whenever someone decides to part with a Tusnelda painting.
It pains me to have to defend her place, I am only contributing the article because I am shocked that no o ne else has. The Wikipedia method is difficult and off-putting for many. Are you the only person who is reviewing this submission or are there others? I can wait wiki's 4 months for a reappraisal but after that I mean to complain. Denahansen (talk) 18:35, 6 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi there, I declined the submission based on the criteria for notability of a creative professional: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability_(people)#Creative_professionals There is insufficient evidence that the subject meets these criteria. I see that you have re-submitted the draft, so it will be reviewed again by another reviewer in due course. All the best, MM. MurielMary (talk) 23:17, 6 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Dear MurielMary
I see we both write wikipedia entries on once well-known, now less well-known, professional and distinguished women. Since you declined my last submission(s), could you please check my most recent, upgraded draft of the artist, Tusnelda Sanders. The upgraded draft will hang out in the cold, I fear for a very long time, if no one looks at it. And no one has. Could you once again look at it. I submit that Tusnelda is notable, proven in the citations.Collectors of her paintings are surprised that Wikipedia will not recognise her. Denahansen (talk) 23:21, 27 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

THis is really confusing. She is a well documented artist whose work is currently experiencing a revival. How many citations does it take for her to be considered "notable"? I am trying my hardest...what am I missing? You declined this draft very quickly so there must be a criterion YOU have that I don't know about...I have read most things Wikipedia offers about "notability'. Vicki Denahansen (talk) 20:12, 11 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I see her as WP:NARTIST. her work is in plenty of collections in Cagnes sur mer Denahansen (talk) 20:16, 11 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Vladimir Rott, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Babushkin. What is the biographer of a previously unrecognized artist to do? Her work is recognised in France and the US. Lack of an actual monograph does not equal lack of notability. There is an informative website devoted to her work. Tusnelda's US exhibitions got covered in the 1940s and again in the 1960s, people bought lots of her paintings. Wikipedia is the people's encyclopedia but not always inclusive. Tusnelda is a naive artist in themode of Maude Lewis and GrandMa Moses and, arguably more successful financially judging my her sales record when alive and now, after her death. Can you direct me to someplace on Wikipedia where I can discuss the Tusnelda-is-not-notable issue. This is unfair. Denahansen (talk) 16:07, 18 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
