Request on 16:34:03, 11 October 2016 for assistance on AfC submission by Wamklein

[edit]

Hello, thanks for the quick response. Definitely don't want to be reported, but I'm trying to understand how I prove notability. I can provide examples of other studios that have less proof of notability and don't understand why there's work and mine doesn't. Any way you would be able to share any more information? Is making the 'best of class' from a strong independent industry source not enough to become notable? Thanks in advance for any information you may be able to share!

Example to check: https://en.wikipedia.or

Wamklein (talk) 21:25, 11 October 2016 (UTC) Wamklein (talk) 16:34, 11 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Wamklein. You were told 'Do not resubmit unless you have much better references providing substantial coverage from third-party independent reliable sources, not press releases or mere announcements.' on 28 March 2016. You ignored that advice and resubmitted. My advice is the same as all the other previous comments, so since you have not listened to them, it would be simply a waste of time for me to provide you with the same advice that you have previously ignored. The facility is simply not notable enough to warrant an article. In layman's terms, it is not famous enough. There have been no recent newspaper articles written about it, so there would be no reason for people to be searching for it. This is shown with Google trends, and for the last couple of weeks, Google trends records 0 searches. To put it bluntly, no one is interested. If someone is genuinely looking to utilise it's services, they can always go to their website at ochitfactory.com. With such low notability, it does not deserve to be in a Encyclopaedia. For further information I suggest that you read WP:AKON. Thank-you David.moreno72 01:18, 12 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

ok sir please tell me where is wrong help me and make it correct i gave you the full authority to edit it.

@Labsalah Duhul Hassan: I'm sorry, but as per WP:PROMO, and I quote, 'Wikipedia is not a soapbox or means of promotion'. If you so desire, there are heaps of free blogs where you can promote yourself, It's just that Wikipedia is not one of them. Thank-you David.moreno72 13:12, 12 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello David,

Thanks for the below feedback. "The content of this submission includes material that does not meet Wikipedia's minimum standard for inline citations. Please cite your sources using footnotes. For instructions on how to do this, please see Referencing for beginners. Thank you."

Can you please elaborate what exactly is the requirement. From our understanding we think the requirement is to have more inline references for some of the key words (ex."Silk Road" should be referenced to similar wiki article or external links). Please let us know if the understanding is correct?

Also just below in the Reference sections we see numbers like [1],[2] etc for the references. We can to get rid of those. Can you guide us for the same?

Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.247.224.59 (talk) 21:02, 13 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi David, I was wanting to write about attorneys in my city of Los Angeles, see ultimately why or if lawyers are worthy of their high-end salaries. I got the idea from this approve wikipedia article:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russ_Brown_(lawyer) Should I not include the attorney's personal websites? Can we Skype? skype:youarenotajediyet I'm currently watching Rob Zombies 31 on my Mag 254 box. Anyway, just wanted to talk informally, maybe you're even in Socal. I'm from Long Beach. Just curious to see what your daily life is about ultimately? Thanks for any help David

Not constructive?

[edit]

Hello David,

Why is describing an admitted member of the PIRA as a terrorist 'not constructive'?

He's been prosecuted and convicted for membership of a illegal terrorist group.

But hey, let's all pretend that he's merely 'a republican'.

Hi 78.16.205.174. Unless you can provide a reliable source that confirms your allegation, that is, he is currently performing acts of terrorism (you said in the edit summary that it was his 'profession'), your edits do not comply with Wikipedia policy per WP:BLP. Christian Okoye edit "not constructive"

[edit]

I am truly puzzled why this was reverted. The Golden Baseball League no longer exists (source: the Wikipedia page that is linked), so Okoye is no longer an investor, he *was* an investor. You cannot actively invest in something that has ceased to exist, as is the case with Golden Baseball League which ceased operations in 2010.

Dear David Moreno,

Good day. I had contributed an article on Wiki yesterday but you have recommended for its deletion. Although I have tried to read as to how to contribute but I think I have screwed up somewhere along the line and surely would need your guidance.

My article is titled 'Neelan Bhouton' but it seems that it has been posted with the name of Shaikh Muhammed Ali or my NIC dushkashaikh. Can you please help /guide and oblige?

With regards I remain. Also can you please communicate on mashaikh@hec.gov.pk where I can write freely. Even reaching this talk channel was quite difficult.

Sincerely............Shaikh Muhammed Ali — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dushkashaikh (talkcontribs) 03:50, 19 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dushkashaikh. What you have done is to copy and paste a Scribd.com document 'An Escapade to Neelan Bhouton'. This is a violation of copyright and is not permitted on Wikipedia. Please do not copy and paste again. Thank-you David.moreno72 04:19, 19 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi David: Thank you so much for your response. Thank you for your guidance and I acknowledge the action that you have taken but I want to draw your attention on another issue. I wanted to create a page titled 'Neelan Bhotoun' but somehow I named it dushkashaikh instead of the title 'Neelan Bhotoun' which is a tourist site here in the Margalla Hills, Islamabad. You have asked that page to be removed on which I am perplexed. Hello David – I am struggling to understand the term “broken” as it describes my submission on S. Michael Hudson. Also I have reviewed the definition of “reliable sources” and I do not understand the problem with the reference provided. They appear to meet the definition of published articles, books and peer reviewed publications by the subject. How do I get clarification on why these are not adequate? Thank you. K. I. Forline K. I. Draft:S. Michael Hudson ‎

[edit]

I'm obviously having trouble understanding how this system works. I a request on your talk page, buty it didn't get formatted as others (nor answered). Can you tell me how to proceed. Thanks. K. I. Forline (talk) 12:19, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi K. I. Forline. For goodness sake, please pay attention. For instance, I have a message, at the top of my talk page, which says 'Please leave your message at the bottom of this page, for example, by clicking "new section" at the top.' How you not only misunderstood that, but missed the 'New Section' tab, RIGHT NEXT TO THE EDIT TAB which you must have pressed to leave a message on my page is totally beyond me. What is even more perplexing is that this is now the SECOND time. Not only that, but you also have obviously not bothered to read the basics on how to format references, which is is all explained in WP:REFB, which is in the WP:CTW. My advice is to not edit Wikipedia, as you do not have the competence. Sorry, but if the most basic functionality of Wikipedia is beyond your grasp, writing an article will be an impossibility. Also, I'm sure that you are familiar with the history of the 'S. Michael Hudson' article, that I have tried to speak to the numerous other editors about the non-notability of the subject, but no one EVER takes any notice of what I say, and it gets submitted again, and again, with no improvements made in-between. This is what is known as tendentious editing. Please take your questions to thehelpdesk from now on. Of course the first thing you will need to master is pressing the 'New Section' link as it is a requirement for a new question on the help desk. Good luck. David.moreno72 13:05, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

David - I seem to be a slow learner (and apparently not competent. I will try to reformat the text via the help Desk and see if I can find information on what information is required to establish notability for Mr. Hudson. Thanks. K. I. Foeline (talk) 22:06, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Request on 01:40:18, 23 October 2016 for assistance on AfC submission by Michaelpetrekane

[edit]

Hi there,

I'm asking for assistance in editing the Wikipedia article I drafted 'Basic Income in New Zealand'. The article was rejected on the grounds of it reading more like an essay and that it appeared more like original research. It was suggested that it should rely more on secondary research and be neutral in its language. I was hoping to clarifiy whether there were particular sections that were problematic and whether one solution is to use more direct quotations. I took the approach of summarizing arguments (hopefully without judgement) and citing those summaries. I can certainly see that the introductory paragraph needs to either be removed or heavily edited.

Hi David, You comment my article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:WipeMeWorld

"This submission's references do not adequately show the subject's notability. Wikipedia requires significant coverage about the subject in reliable sources that are independent of the subject—see the guidelines on the notability of organizations and companies and the golden rule. Please improve the submission's referencing (see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners), so that the information is verifiable, and there is clear evidence of why the subject is notable and worthy of inclusion in an encyclopedia. If additional reliable sources cannot be found for the subject, then it may not be suitable for Wikipedia at this time."

I have now update the article and update more resources and in the right format. Can you please have another look? appreciate your comments and thanks in advance

I also made sure to select citations that are from larger, respected news outlets. I appreciate your time in helping me to understand. Thank you.

@Keelmaster123: Hi, I declined the submission as the lede is not correctly formatted, and contains an external link (which is not permitted). Mixed Multi-Dimensional Filter wiki-page being flagged for deletion

[edit]

Hi David, I am a Masters student studying in Arizona state University in the United States. I have been told by my faculty to make a page on Wikipedia on the topic-Mixed Multidimensional Filters. I wanted to inquire about the reason why the new page(Mixed-Multidimensional Filters) that I have created has been flagged for deletion. This is a completely new topic and has nothing in common with the page it is being compared with (Multidimensional Signal Processing). I will finish writing my content on this page in the next 24 hours including addition of references and linking content on this page with the content already available online. I have gone through various research papers and discussions with my faculty to put the content that you can see on this page right now.
Do let me know your views on this.
Thanks
Yours Sincerely

@Ppriolka:. Please tell your faculty that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and pages must conform to Wikipedia's policies. If as you say, it is a 'completely new topic', then it fails WP:FORUM. The style also fails WP:NOTJOURNAL. Writing a Wikipedia page should under no circumstances be part of any research project, or part of any assessment. I also notice that you have recreated the page after it was deleted by an admin, which is considered Tendentious editing, and further disruptive editing may see your editing privileges revoked. Please note, Apple Watch and Apple Watch Series 1 is different. If possible, the content of Apple Watch Series 1 inside the Apple Watch's Article should be transferred in the new Apple Watch Series 1's article.

They should be separated in the followings sentences/terms/conditions:

  • Differentiation in Generation
  • Differentiation in Processor, System-on-chip used
  • Differentiation in DOM or Date of Manufacturing
  • Differentiation in DOR or Date of Release
  • Differentiation in some features
  • Series 1 is a successor of the 1st Generation Apple Watch
  • 1st Generation Apple Watch is a predecessor of the Apple Watch Series 1 and Apple Watch Series 2
  • 1st Generation Apple Watch and Series 2 have different advertising

New Page Review needs your help

[edit]

Hi David.moreno72,

As an AfC reviewer you're probably aware that a new user right has been created for patrolling new pages (you might even have been granted the right already, and admins have it automatically).

Since July there has been a very serious backlog at Special:NewPagesFeed of over 14,000 pages, by far the worst since 2011, and we need an all out drive to get this back down to just a few hundred that can be easily maintained in the future. Unlike AfC, these pages are already in mainspace, and the thought of what might be there is quite scary. There are also many good faith article creators who need a simple, gentle push to the Tea House or their pages converted to Draft rather than being deleted.

Although New Page Reviewing can occasionally be somewhat more challenging than AfC, the criteria for obtaining the right are roughly the same. The Page Curation tool is even easier to use than the Helper Script, so it's likely that most AfC reviewers already have more than enough knowledge for the task of New Page Review.

It is hoped that AfC reviewers will apply for this right at WP:PERM and lend a hand. You'll need to have read the page at WP:NPR and the new tutorial.

Why are you removing the content from my article?

I just made a new article in Wikipedia named Aryankavu Sastha Temple. I have noticed that You are simply removing the texts from my article without proper reason. The citations that i have given may not be reliable, but i have written it with my local knowledge. Next time, I will definitely cite reliable sources to the article. For God's sake, just don't modify my article. Its a request..!! Jayabilla (talk) 04:54, 20 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jayabilla. As per WP:V, and I quote 'Any material that needs a source but does not have one may be removed.'. I am simply following the policy guidelines, and I have given a reason for my edits. If you are having trouble understanding what constitutes a reliable source, please read WP:RS, as a blog is usually not considered reliable. For reference, you CANNOT just write from your local knowledge, as this constituents original research, and is not permitted. Please make yourself familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines before making any further edits. Thank-you. David.moreno72 05:38, 20 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello user, I can't find more reliable source for the article in the internet. So, what should I do? I am helpless.!! You are just torturing me. There are many other articles in Wikipedia which doesn't even cite a source. But in my case, I have tried to cite sources, but there isn't much sites that have information about the article that I have made. Hope you understand my situation. If you continue to do so, I will be forced to give a complaint against you..!! Jayabilla (talk) 06:32, 20 November 2016 (UTC) Information icon[reply]

(talk page stalker) @Jayabilla: If you can't find a source for a claim, then you can't add the claim -- it's that simple. Please point to other unsourced statements so we can remove them. Other people's mistakes do not justify your own. Ian.thomson (talk) 06:36, 20 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Jayabilla. I can understand your frustration, but Wikipedia has strict policies when it comes to original research. [edit]

Thank You, for promptly reviewing my submission Indian Mind Set. Over the years what I have learned from news papers, magazines and books were the ones I have put in writing. It is heartening to note that I have a chance to check up the veracity of some of my memory, for example an agreement with Ceylon on the sovereignty was signed in the year 1974. The details regarding this is to be cited. I will work on this very important aspects in the coming days and write with citations and verifiable ones and keep away from controversial or difficult to verify like the soldiers of mauryan empire settling down in ceylon etc.,

THANK YOU.

Dear sir,

Please understand me

[edit]

You have done enough torture to me. The last edit you made me so irritated. What was wrong in the citation that I have given in the article Kalaketty. You simply removed the texts from it. What are you up to? People like you are the real frustrating factor in Wikipedia. You just said that I had made disruptive edits in Pinnakkanadu. How can you justify it. I just edited the wrong data in that article, not intended to vandalize Wikipedia. It was only a progressive edit. Please try to understand. You may have the rollback and new page reviewing rights and more experienced than me. But my only intention is to make progressive edits in Wikipedia. You can justify your points in case of the articles Kalaketty. But you are really mistaken in case of Pinnakkanadu article. I had noticed that the datt

Hi Jayabilla. I have been reviewing your edits and notice that you have not understood a number of key Wikipedia policies. In the edit summary, I usually leave not only an explanation, but also a link to the relevant policy. It is expected that you click onto those links and read them. Regarding the Kalaketty article, you removed valid content, which is vandalism per WP:VANDTYPES. In regards to Pinnakkanadu, you added content from another user generated wiki, which is not permitted per WP:SELFPUBLISH, which I mentioned in my edit summary. Please read those edit summaries and the linked content before making any further edits. I also don't appreciate your constant harassment and threats, which is also a violation per WP:HARASS. Thank-you David.moreno72 11:56, 20 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Can you help me

[edit]

As a beginner, I don't no many facts related in article creation and editing in Wikipedia. Now I am really confused whether to make an edit in wiki as it would be considered as disruptive edits. So the thing I am asking you that how can I make progressive edits in Wikipedia without any problems like citing sources. Please clarify my queries.Jayabilla (talk) 12:06, 20 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jayabilla. I would recommend taking a break from editing. Spend some time reading up on the basic policies. If you find yourself getting frustrated, just give it a rest. Wikipedia will still be there tomorrow. Regarding your edits, it isn't worth getting worked up over as most of those pages rarely get more than 10 views a day with some having various stints where no one visits them at all, so no one will really notice anyway. Try expanding your horizons. Look at contributing in other ways, like I do. Perhaps do some anti-vandalism patrolling, new page reviewing, or articles for creation reviewing where there is a massive backlog. That is what I do. Thank-you. David.moreno72 12:26, 20 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, since Jayabilla is a new user, they probably won't be able to review new pages since that's a special permission now. As for Articles for Creation, I think the editors who help with that usually prefer users who have at least some experience with creating articles from scratch, as well as some knowledge of Wikipedia policies.
That leaves anti-vandalism, which is the kind of work I prefer. The way I got to be good at anti-vandalism work is I monitored an IRC channel specifically designed to alert editors to possible vandalism in progress on Wikipedia. (You can read about how Wikipedia uses IRC here. You can connect to the Countervandalism Network IRC channnel by going to #cvn-wp-en connect, though I personally prefer using HexChat to connect to it.) If I found vandalism, I would then use the undo button or Twinkle to undo the vandalism, then I would either warn the user or report them if they had already been recently warned three or four times. I used Twinkle for both of those, too. Eventually, I applied and got access to the Rollback permission, which allowed me to use a program called Huggle, which is a lot easier to use than that combination of IRC and Twinkle I had to use beforehand. I also applied and got access to the Pending Changes Reviewer permission, which allows me to review the pages listed at Special:PendingChanges.

Hi ya ~Oshwah~ . Good to hear from you, my Wikipedia bestie, and looking at your stats, you sure have been busy. I see that you have taken 'the mop', broken off it's mop end, and added a few nails, with almost 2,000 users being blocked. (Quite an achievement I must add, in the short time you have been a sysop.) I see that you have made it into the top 200 of 'the list', while I'm still yet to make it into the top 2000!!! I recently got a contract, developing custom forms in SharePoint 2013 (arrh, SharePoint can certainly be a nightmare) for a Australian Government Department, and so I have had a lot less time to devote to Wikipedia, and firing up Huggle has been a rarity. ( I know that you are also an IT guy, but I would be interested in exactly what you are doing for a job) When I can, I like to play World of Tanks, and while I'm waiting to spin up, I have a few moments to look at the new page feed for CSD candidates, or AFC, where I can decline obvious rubbish. Accepting an article can be very difficult, but every now and then I come across a jewel of an article, where you ask yourself, 'what, this is NOT in Wikipedia'. I also have a 7 month old Jack Russell puppy, who is always wanting to play, and so keeps me AFK. As I'm writing this, I'm constantly fending her off from my keyboard, so responding to comments on my talk page can be difficult, in addition to finding the time. She has pressed the return or delete key on numerous occasions while I'm editing !!! Anyway, keep up the good work, and before I forget, thanks for this. New Page Review - newsletter

[edit]
Hello David.moreno72,
Breaking the back of the backlog
We now have 805 New Page Reviewers! Most of you requested the user right to be able to do something about the huge backlog. Now it's time for action.
Mid July to 01 Oct 2016

If each reviewer does only 10 reviews a day over five days, the backlog will be down to zero and the daily input can then be processed by each reviewer doing only 2 or 3 reviews a day - that's about 5 minutes work!
Let's get that over and done with in time to relax for the holidays.

Second set of eyes

Not only are New Page Reviewers the guardians of quality of new articles, they are also in a position to ensure that pages are being correctly tagged for deletion and maintenance and that new authors are not being bitten. This is an important feature of your work. Read about it at the new Monitoring the system section in the tutorial.

Hello David, I am under the construction of my new article Kozhimala and trying to find more reliable sources. So kindly before blanking out the contents, please give me some time to add several citations. Jayabilla (talk) 13:07, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jayabilla. What you need to do is add the citation during the editing process. Also, don't hit the 'save changes' button, but instead use the 'preview' button. So that once all the edits have been done, with the appropriate citations, and previewed, ONLY THEN hit the 'save changes' button. Please read WP:PREVIEW before making any further unreferenced edits.Thank-you David.moreno72 13:33, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! You tagged all articles created by User:Hódmezővásárhely for speedy deletion under WP:G5 (banned or blocked user). Can you show me the exact block that was violated? If no, then please revert your edits. Vanjagenije (talk) 15:53, 3 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I will answer your question, if I may. User:Hódmezővásárhely is one of User:BrunoMed's sock puppets. BrunoMed agreed "(a) to an indefinite topic ban on topics concerning Croatia and Croats, and (b) not to ever use any other account or IP except this account", see User_talk:BrunoMed#Blocked_for_sockpuppetry. Both promises were broken, not for the first time, not for the last time. The tagged articles are examples of this. They were created by a banned (and now indefinitely blocked) user, with no substantial edits by others, and therefore should be deleted.—J. M. (talk) 17:56, 3 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@J. M.: BrunoMed agreed to those restrictions in July 2016 [1], while the articles in question were created in September 2015. User couldn't violate the ban that was imposed 10 months later. Vanjagenije (talk) 19:01, 3 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Vanjagenije:Oops, you are right, I completely overlooked the 2015 (I thought it was 2016). I must have been blind. Sorry about that.—J. M. (talk) 19:12, 3 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A few questions:

  1. How does one access the content from Jennifer Brea that was deleted?
  2. Generally how many external sources are required for a biographical page to be deleted? The article cited coverage of the subject's work in NPR, Al Jazeera, TED and Sundance but that was not considered sufficiently notable. Many pages exist with fewer or less notable sources
  3. Unrest_(2017_film) has been marked for deletion. However, none of the other 2017 Sundance Film Festival films that have pages have been similarly flagged. Should these other film pages also be deleted? Amy2890 (talk) 01:47, 5 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Amy2890. I see that your page was recreated and moved to a draft. I have taken the liberty to make changes to the draft as it was improperly sourced and contained a copyright violation. Good luck with your page and happy editing. Thanks. David.moreno72 13:36, 7 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks David.moreno72! Do you have a way to restore (or put in draft mode) the content for Jennifer Brea. I read that if a page is deleted by an editor, they have access to the deleted content. Thanks. Also why is saying that it will appear in competition at Sundance a copyright violation?

Hi Amy2890.To restore a page, please see WP:UND. It wasn't saying that it will appear at Sundance that was a copyright violation, but that it was a word for word copy and paste from a copyrighted website that was the copyright violation. Thanks. David.moreno72 06:15, 10 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Removing edits to Mississippi Gubernatiorial Article

[edit]

Hey bud what's the story? I'm adding the state flag into all these Governor's election articles to which its pertinent (after it was adopted as state flag) some of them have it some of them do not, therefore shouldn't every statewide election article after 1892 (the flag's adoption) have the flag there, as is standard on wikipedia for every other state? — Preceding unsigned comment added by LikkerdySplit (talkcontribs) 04:21, 11 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi LikkerdySplit, you add it as '|country = Mississippi'. Mississippi is NOT a country. Thanks David.moreno72 04:24, 11 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Well right you are and I agree with you, however I was only copying out the standard methodology used on the more recent election articles, that's sort of how I've been trying to learn this wikipedia business the last little while - Observe, trail/error, rinse and repeat. I see someone's found a more accurate way, honestly I don't really see the difference if it displays the same, but there you have it, God bless you, I'll try that way, feel free to delete this - Eli — Preceding unsigned comment added by LikkerdySplit (talkcontribs) 04:34, 11 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Mississippi

[edit]

The flag is commonplace in other gubernatorial election articles: Oregon gubernatorial special election, 2016, Mississippi gubernatorial election, 2003, North Dakota gubernatorial election, 2004, the list goes on and on... MB298 (talk) 04:41, 11 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi MB298. Just because the template is being used incorrectly on other pages does not mean that it can be used incorrectly in all cases. There is a specific template tag to use, ie flag image, so I suggest that you use it. If you could, it would also be great if you could correct the other pages that you mentioned. Thank-you David.moreno72 04:52, 11 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
That messes it up... See United States Senate election in Louisiana, 2016. It needs the "Country" parameter to properly display the link to List of United States Senators from Louisiana. MB298 (talk) 05:39, 11 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi MB298. You will need to explain it in more detail as I can't see anything wrong. ThanksDavid.moreno72 05:43, 11 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
If you visit United States Senate election in Louisiana, 2016, you can see at the infobox parameter where it should display "U.S. Senator before election" and "U.S. Senator after election", it instead displays, "[[List of United States Senators from {{{country}}}|U.S. Senator]] before election." If Louisiana is used for the "country" parameter, "U.S. Senator" will link to List of United States Senators from Louisiana. MB298 (talk) 05:45, 11 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi MB298. Well done on picking that up. I tell you what, I would never have guessed that not setting the country tag would do that. Thanks for the pick up and I hope you accept my sincere apologies. Feel free to revert back, and if possible, maybe include that it breaks the info box in the comment section. Thanks David.moreno72 05:57, 11 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Question

[edit]

Just a question, I've been editing wikipedia regularly for about maybe 3 weeks, and irregularly for about 3-6, maybe even 12 months, and I just created an account - Have I got some sort of target on my head or something, am I wearing a giant sign on my head? I've got three of you people running around reverting, and reverting each other on two-three uncontroversial edits I just made?

By the way I don't mean to spam your talkpage, but wikipedia sure is unclear on how to ask questions. — Preceding unsigned comment added by LikkerdySplit (talkcontribs) 04:48, 11 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi LikkerdySplit. Welcome to Wikipedia. There is a lot to learn, and Google is your friend. That is how I found this page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Infobox_election, and saw the flag_image tag. Then I tried to make the change, previewed it, it didn't work, tried again, previewed it, it didn't work, tried again, previewed it, it worked, and so I committed the change. Happy editing. David.moreno72 05:01, 11 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
