Hello Dagana4. Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions!

I'm DBigXray, one of the other editors here, and I hope you decide to stay and help contribute to this amazing repository of knowledge.

Some common sense Dos and Don'ts:
  Do be bold
  Do assume good faith
  Do be civil
  Do keep cool!
Do maintain a neutral point of view
  Don't spam
  Don't infringe copyright
Don't edit where you have a conflict of interest
  Don't commit vandalism
  Don't get blocked
If you need further help, you can:
  Ask a question
or you can:
  Get help at the Teahouse
or even:
Ask an experienced editor to "adopt" you

Alternatively, leave me a message at my talk page or type {{helpme}} here on your talk page and someone will try to help.

There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:
  Fight vandalism
Be a WikiFairy or a WikiGnome
  Help contribute to articles
  Perform maintenance tasks

Become a member of a project that interests you
  Help design new templates
Subscribe and contribute to The Signpost

To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your userpage.

Please remember to:

  • Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes ~~~~ at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp.
  • Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun!

Sincerely, DBigXray 09:10, 26 February 2019 (UTC)   (Leave me a message)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. DBigXray 07:50, 10 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Recent edit to Payal Rohatgi

[edit]

Hello. I noticed that you made an edit to a biography of a living person (Payal Rohatgi), but that you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! PATH SLOPU 09:36, 24 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Yes you made a mistake. I had got that from an entertainment news source. It is completely quoted and sourced as well. The anon used removed it because he did not like it.

ARBIPA sanctions alert

[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Azam Khan (politician), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Rama Devi (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 08:09, 26 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Dagana4, you still have the ARBIPA sanctions alert a few sections above. It is inexplicable why you are edit warring over a poor quality sources like Nathu Ram Godse at Hindustani language. Talk page discussion Islam and Violence

[edit]

Hello I saw you contributing at talk page about Islam and Violence/ especially pacifism in Islam/. That pages, Islam and violence, Pacifism in Islam etc should be monitored always, there is often changes of content and vandalism, personal pov views etc. I would like to keep discussion alive at that topics also at talk pages, with inviting different users to contribute to consensus for quality content etc. At talk page discussion is dead almost in that articles, so in that name I write to you to use knowledge about improving content, keep quality content and with that whole Wikipedia. ArbCom 2019 election voter message

[edit]
Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:24, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, re: this edit, Jackace.in is not a sufficient reference. We don't care what random blogs and websites have opted to publish. Who knows where they get their information? Other websites? From marketing companies? Fabricated from thin air? We only care what reliable mainstream sources with established reputations for fact-checking and accuracy have to say about anything, especially in the world of Indian film finances, which are notoriously unreliable and dependent entirely on proprietary estimates. Please see our reliable sourcing guidelines, and for a general list of suitable and unsuitable resources for Indian entertainment articles, please see WP:ICTF#Guidelines on sources. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:57, 6 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I was trying for a source for the film budget and box office verdict. Can you help me? I found only one source. Dagana4 (talk) 07:47, 14 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Dagana4, when you ask for help from another editor and they don't respond, sometimes it's just that they didn't see it. Many folks have thousands of pages on their watchlist. You could ask them at their talk page, or ping them here or to the article talk (instructions at WP:PING), if you still have the same question. Re: the sources you're looking for -- my understanding is that entertainment news in Indian media is nearly all unreliable. I've been told even entertainment news in Times of India is liable to be paid advertising rather than actual fact. There's information on reliable sources in the film industry at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Film/Resources but there doesn't seem to be anything specific to Indian film. --valereee (talk) 14:23, 2 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

question

[edit]

I'm sorry, a 'misleading date'? What does that edit summary mean? --valereee (talk) 05:01, 2 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Kunal Kamra requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at [[{{{value1}}}]]. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Praxidicae (talk) 13:29, 31 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Dagana4,
I thought I'd let you know that the previous version of this article that was deleted was "userfied" and moved to User:Winged Blades of Godric/Kunal Kamra. You might ask Winged Blades of Godric if you can work on this old draft and improve it to meet Wikipedia's notability standards. Liz Read! Talk! 17:50, 31 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

April 2020

[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Shrikhand, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. Yamaguchi先生 (talk) 17:50, 20 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Tapa-i-Kafariha moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Tapa-i-Kafariha, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Your draft article, Draft:Tapa-i-Kafariha

If you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
