Question about topic on my talk page

Hi, please take a look User talk:Urban Versis 32#June 2024. It seems to have been posted on my talk page by an IP user but uses your signature. I'm confused as to if this message is related to you in any way. Thanks! Urban Versis 32KB(talk / contribs) 00:08, 17 June 2024 (UTC)

@Urban Versis 32: Nope, that wasn't me. The message appears to have been copied from User talk:180.195.116.217, where I left a couple of warnings several days ago, and the IP seems to be attempting to impersonate me. CycloneYoris talk! 00:42, 17 June 2024 (UTC)
Okay, thank you for that info. I was quite confused for a minute there! Urban Versis 32KB(talk / contribs) 01:36, 17 June 2024 (UTC)

Hey quick question

You commented on my talk page a while back, what did i do wrong? Maxs9967456 (talk) 02:43, 19 June 2024 (UTC)

You didn't provide any explanation nor reference for the changes you made at Kurt Warner, and were not an improvement to the article in question. Please make sure to provide an edit summary to all of your edits in the future. CycloneYoris talk! 03:26, 19 June 2024 (UTC)

also do you know why the CaseOh article was deleted? Maxs9967456 (talk) 13:29, 19 June 2024 (UTC)
(talk page stalker)There was a rather recent discussion which resulted in the article being deleted: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/CaseOh. Lectonar (talk) 13:54, 19 June 2024 (UTC)

Concerning John Logie Baird

Hello...invention of television as such can not be really attributed to one single person (but I know the Anglosphere usually attributes it to Baird). Thus, I have reverted a pending edit which you accepted; innovator instead of inventor is standing consensus for the page. Regards. Lectonar (talk) 13:27, 19 June 2024 (UTC)

@Lectonar: My apologies. I should've carefully reviewed the source before accepting the change. Thank you for notifying me of this. Kind regards. CycloneYoris talk! 19:10, 19 June 2024 (UTC)

Sonya Hussyn

Hello Yoris

Hope you are doing well. I saw you reverted some changes made by two members of the team of Sonya. Sonya reached out to me and flagged the wrong date of birth she has on Wikipedia. I am a journalist and have been occasionally contributing to Wikipedia for specific subjects.

Since you have highlighted and reverted the changes. Should I share her ID card to verify the date of birth and maybe you can amend it. I don't mind doing but since you have taken action maybe you can go for it.

Her date of birth according to her ID card is 15 July 1996. TahirImran (talk) 23:27, 22 June 2024 (UTC)

@TahirImran: Please see WP:DOB. You need to provide a reliable source which confirms her birth date. There is absolutely no need to share any of the subject's personal information, just a reliable source is all you need. See WP:Reliable sources and WP:Verifiability for further information. Draftification of Draft:John Anthony Roberts

Hi, why did you draftify this page citing "no sources" as a reason, while the page clearly had a reference to a biographical entry in the National Portrait Gallery? I unfortunately recreated the page because I was editing it while you moved it to draft space... Broc (talk) 20:39, 1 July 2024 (UTC)

@Broc: Whoops, sorry about that! I actually intended to choose the option of "more sources" since the page only had one source; that's the reason why I immediately amended the message I left on the author's talk page, as you can see here. CycloneYoris talk! 21:11, 1 July 2024 (UTC)

Six Flags (1961-2026)

Sorry abou that. I needed to move that page becuase it originally included a redirect that some editor put there in defiance of a consensus vote to move the orginal Six Flags page to Six Flags (1961-2024) It really wasnt intended to be vandalism. In fact I was about to nominate thepage for deletion myself when I got your message.DisneyAviationRollerCoasterEnthusiast (talk) 22:48, 9 July 2024 (UTC)

Clear consensus

Going back to a previous discussion where you used the term "clear consensus" multiple times (and "clear enough" consensus too, implying there are different levels of "clear"), but I never got an answer as to what "clear consensus" meant to you, and I didn't pursue that discussion further, or the RfD close (as your reaction had turned hostile), I'm back to discussing the term with Thryduulf‎ who has used the phrase "active consensus" and says it is similar to "clear consensus". I have been trying to understand if the terms are a manner of speech, or stemming from Wiki guidelines. What I get from Google is that (at least for "active consensus") it means 100% support and 0% opposition (which was not the case at that RfD, hence my questions at the time about Can you define it, or describe what it means to you?). Jay 💬 09:13, 10 July 2024 (UTC)

@Jay: I guess it all depends on the discussion that is being evaluated, and there is really no clear-cut answer that I can provide. In my case, I do admit that it is more of a manner of speech than anything else, though I have never used the term "active consensus" if I remember correctly. What I do notice when closing a discussion is that there has to be a general agreement among participants to perform some sort of action (or lack thereof as when closing "keep"), and that the opposition needs to be weak or not fully supported by the majority of those who are !voting. Milan Mach (actor)

Hello CycloneYoris, I have done some changes on milan-mach, since you put it in draft. I hope it is oK now. Please check. I actually wish to learn more about the notability issue, therefore I appreciate if you explain, just in a few words, what the article missed in the first place. Thank you. Hello Taraa Scott. The draft looks much better now and I strongly encourage you to submit it for review. I moved the page to draftspace because it did not have any sources, but I see that you've fixed that now and it looks a lot better than it did before. CycloneYoris talk! 20:31, 18 July 2024 (UTC)

Your A1 CSD nominations

Hello, CycloneYoris. This is a reminder to be more careful with speedy deletion nominations, following up on a conversation we had in October 2023. I recently declined your A1 CSD nomination for 2025 in hip hop music and reviewed the A1s you tagged this month. Pages like Saujanya Rape and Murder Case, Paquin Tower, and Aral FC should not have been tagged as such because if any information in the title or on the page, including links, allows an editor to find further information, A1 is not appropriate. A quick search online would have given up more information; please carefully review the criterion again.

I hate to point this out, but one of the criteria for new page reviewer revocation is "demonstrat[ing] a pattern of failing to exercise sufficient care when reviewing pages". From what I've seen, you've been receptive to feedback, so I don't want to do that, but this is a warning that revocation may occur if you continue carrying out the same mistakes after being reminded. Thank you, Sdrqaz (talk) 05:27, 27 July 2024 (UTC)

Hello Sdrqaz. Thank you for the reminder. It seems that I should refrain from tagging articles with that criterion, since it has given me enough headaches from the start. I will therefore review the criterion carefully once more, and will exercise caution before using it. Thanks again. CycloneYoris talk! 06:06, 27 July 2024 (UTC)

The removal of my page, SuperMarvinLogan

Hello CycloneYarris! I’m just here to ask why you asked for a speedy deletion on my page. I just want an answer. You seem like a pretty nice person from reading all of your other comments. Thank you! Also if I don’t like your reasoning whatsoever may I request for my page to be able to stay? Angelzaed (talk) 22:06, 29 July 2024 (UTC)

Hello Angelzaed. You did not provide any sources, and because of this, the subject you are writing about does not seem to meet notability guidelines. I suggest creating the article in draftspace at Draft:SuperMarvinLogan, and wait for another editor to review it and give you a second opinion. CycloneYoris talk! 22:16, 29 July 2024 (UTC)
Oh thank you so much for responding! Thank you for letting me know. Angelzaed (talk) 22:17, 29 July 2024 (UTC)
You're welcome! CycloneYoris talk! 22:18, 29 July 2024 (UTC)

The removal of the page,

Hello I'm asking why you requested a speedy deletion for Liam Brody Parsons Adaki2019 (talk) 21:40, 30 July 2024 (UTC)

@Adaki2019: Because the page doesn't have any sources (his own YouTube channel does not count as a source), and because of this, the subject does not seem notable enough to warrant a standalone article. See WP:Notability. CycloneYoris talk! 21:46, 30 July 2024 (UTC)
The article? What do you mean? Adaki2019 (talk) 21:48, 30 July 2024 (UTC)
The page you created, which is a "Wikipedia article". That is what I was referring to, and the subject does not seem notable enough to have their own article. CycloneYoris talk! 21:54, 30 July 2024 (UTC)

Hey, I was wondering if you can help me with the Duke Dennis page

If you can that will be really appreciated please and thank you. 20aIex02 (talk) 01:06, 31 July 2024 (UTC)

@20aIex02: Sure. All you need to do is add some reliable sources (See: WP:Reliable sources and WP:Verifiabilty), and then you can move the page back to mainspace. If you need help on adding sources then please read WP:Referencing for beginners. CycloneYoris talk! 01:14, 31 July 2024 (UTC)
Is Fandom for example a good source? 20aIex02 (talk) 01:47, 31 July 2024 (UTC)
Nope. Fandom sites are usually user generated sites, so they aren't reliable. CycloneYoris talk! 02:07, 31 July 2024 (UTC)
And one more question what if there isn’t a source for me to add? 20aIex02 (talk) 02:17, 31 July 2024 (UTC)
Then I suggest you leave the page in draftspace, and wait until you find some sources. There's really no rush, and you can add them whenever you want. Drafts can be stored for up to six months and they rarely get deleted before then. CycloneYoris talk! 02:24, 31 July 2024 (UTC)
Oh ok thank you so much. 20aIex02 (talk) 02:44, 31 July 2024 (UTC)
But what if the remainder of the time theres no sources about him? 20aIex02 (talk) 05:24, 31 July 2024 (UTC)
If there aren't any sources, then that means that the subject is not notable enough for inclusion on Wikipedia. CycloneYoris talk! 06:35, 31 July 2024 (UTC)
Can you give me some examples of reliable sources? 20aIex02 (talk) 18:23, 31 July 2024 (UTC)
See: WP:Reliable sources, which I also linked at the beginning of this thread. CycloneYoris talk! 20:32, 31 July 2024 (UTC)
