Stub templates
Please don't create your own stub templates without discussion, as you did here. Although it seems at first glance like bureaucracy, we have quite strict rules on what stub categories are appropriate, to stop the creation of categories with only a couple of members and to stop the list of stub categories from getting unmanageably large. If you want to propose the creation of new categories, please discuss your proposed new category at WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals to gain a broad consensus for it.

- If you claim you got the owners permission, you're going to have to show some pretty serious proof, given that Transport for London and Wikipedia never allow permission to use their logo (hence the rather peculiar logo for WP:WikiProject London Transport) and I find it hard to believe that either Microsoft or Adobe have granted you permission to release their logos into the public domain. You are obviously here in good faith; please don't put me in a position where I have to block you from editing to stop you getting us into trouble or disrupting other editors' work. – iridescent 21:07, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

Welcome to WPLT!
Hi, and welcome to the London Transport WikiProject! We're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of London's transport system.
A few features that you might find helpful:
- You may want to join or create a task force which attempts to drive the improvement of articles within a smaller scope.
- The project also provides templates to help you make the perfect article.
There are a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:
- Starting some new articles? Our article structure tips outlines some things to include.
- Want to know how good our articles are? The assessment department is working on rating the quality of every London transport article in Wikipedia.
- You can vote for the London Transport portal's selected article and selected image of the month here.
- Submit your interesting London Transport facts at Portal:London Transport/Did you know for our portal.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask another fellow member, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around!

Tottenham and Hampstead Junction Railway
Hi L07ChLeo3,
I see that you changed the boxes on the Tottenham and Hampstead Junction Railway station articles to show that the route forking after St Ann's Road railway station to Tottenham Hale or to South Tottenham. This is the same thing I did when editing the articles initially but then I decided that I was probably mistaken. You see, St Ann's Road only opened in 1882 and the route to Tottenham Hale seems to have finished in 1870 (after the first incarnation of the line had been a commercial flop). By the time St Ann's Road opened the line was running on its current route via South Tottenham. If I am right then Haringey Green Lanes was the station before Tottenham Hale at the time that Tottenham Hale was in use. Does that make sense? More to the point, is it correct? Was there a post 1882 service on the line which served Tottenham Hale that I am not aware of? If so then the boxes are correct as they are. If not, then I think we should change them back. What do you think?
BTW: It would be very useful if there were some old timetables we could use to check these things against. Do you know of any good sites for these?

Just to let you know that I recently copied the above image that you uploaded to Wikipedia over to WikiMedia Commons, the Wikimedia central media repository for all free media. The image had been tagged with the {{Copy to Wikimedia Commons}} template. Your image is now available to all Wikimedia projects at the following location: Commons:File:A sign of Harringay railway station on one of its platforms.JPG. The original version of the image uploaded to Wikipedia has been tagged with WP:CSD#I8. Cheers! --Captain-tucker (talk) 02:18, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

Your request for rollback
After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback can be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback may be removed at any time.
If you no longer want rollback, then contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some information on how to use rollback, you can view this page. I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, just leave me a message if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Happy editing! RfA
I reverted your edit to the RfA page because it is incomplete. If you wish to request adminship, please follow the instructions on that page. However, I strongly suggest you reconsider such a request. For a very recent example of a user making that request prematurely, please look at his talk page. Also, you just got rollback privileges last week, and also requested coaching...it seems a little early to be requesting adminship at this time. If you have any questions, please let me know. Your RFA
I'd suggest you have a quick look at WP:NOTNOW and some of the links from that page. Your RFA stands almost no chance of success, and it may be better to withdraw gracefuly than end up getting irritated by a host of opposes and neutrals. Sorry to be so negative. Pedro : Chat 22:24, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
- I have taken your edit here as a sign that you wanted to withdraw this request. I have thus closed it accordingly. I hope you will continue to work on Wikipedia and retry with improved odds in a few months. Regards SoWhy 00:08, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
- Please don't take your RFA as being personal; it isn't! RFA on enWP is a very hard thing to pass. I've been here since 2006 and haven't tried yet because I'm not sure I'd pass; and I'm an admin at simple.wikipedia.org Take a couple of days off from wikipedia and just enjoy your real-life. List of scholarly publications by Norman Wengert
I gather you just tagged this page for speedy deletion, at the same time I placed a substantial number of references on the page. Now they have all dispappeared, and were removed from the Norman Wengert page. Do you know how to recover them? I do not, and I'm not looking forward to making the list up again from scratch. Please? Mervyn Emrys (talk) 23:59, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
The references are still there don't worry. L07ChLeo3 (talk) 00:02, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
Where? Can't see them. Checked. Mervyn Emrys (talk) 00:21, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
- I concur that the information seems to have disappeared from both the article and the relevant edit histories, an act which I am puzzled by, yet would appear to be the case. LO7ChLeo3, I accept your reasoning for tagging the article for speedy deletion. However, I believe you should have given more time to allow the creator a chance to develop the article further before tagging. I have also advised the creator to employ an under construction tag in future. Allventon (talk) 01:55, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
I am sorry for the information I was merely hasty but the reason why the edit history may have gone is because an Oversighter must have deleted it; they have the power to delete pages PERMANENTLY which would explain why the history may have disappeared however I will see what I can do. Do carry on the new page patrolling but please note that ham prefix was most certainly not nonsense. Also please always provide an edit summary - there is a flag in your preferences that you should turn on to remind you about it.
Please don't try and apply a rule such as ten articles. I am most certainly not going to do any archiving for you. If you won't do your own archiving then use MiszaBot. See also this re SHOUTING. — RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 23:53, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

Hi, Please don't add {{stub}} to articles like Passy-Kéli when they already have categorised stub tags - it just wastes the time of people at WP:STUBSORT. Request reason:
I am a user with some +1750 edits to Wikipedia who has not done anything wrong, I am affected by a hardblock please grant my account an ip-block exempt. Cheers. P.S. The ip address that I am blocked from is as follows 82.198.250.2
Decline reason:
Since you are on the same checkuser-hardblocked IP address as User talk:Spacevezon, who made a very similar request at exactly the same time, I've blocked you directly for abusing multiple accounts. Hersfold (t/a/c) 08:22, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- Why did you post identical unblock requests then? You've also suddenly come up on an IP address blocked by a checkuser in response to severe abuse of multiple accounts. Hersfold (t/a/c) 08:39, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
- We were merely nearby each other. We are both avid contributors to Wikipedia. When we try to edit Wikipedia from our school ip address we can't as it has been hardblocked and I got the idea from him to request ip block exemption when I saw him requesting it thus I tried to do it, I can say, truthfully and honestly that we are not the same person. L07ChLeo3 (talk) 08:43, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you for the unblock I am sorry for any confusion caused, I don't mind that the bot is blocked as the source code is taking a while to construct and it won't be finished for some time now. Anyway I'm babbling too much. Cheers. --L07ChLeo3 (talk) 11:04, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

Decline reason: I'm pretty sketpical here. The blocked editor created Lucy Pierce at 20:16; then you marked it for deletion at 20:20; then he created it again at 20:23, all this from the same IP with all indications it is the same person doing all the edits. GA Sweeps invitation
Hello, I hope you are doing well. I am sending you this message since you are a member of the GA WikiProject. I would like to invite you to consider helping with the GA sweeps process. Sweeps helps to ensure that the oldest GAs still meet the criteria, and improve the quality of GAs overall. Unfortunately, last month only two articles were reviewed. This is definitely a low point after our peak at the beginning of the process when 163 articles were reviewed in September 2007. After nearly two years, the running total has just passed the 50% mark. In order to expediate the reviewing, several changes have been made to the process. A new worklist has been created, detailing which articles are left to review. All exempt and previously reviewed articles have already been removed from the list. Instead of reviewing by topic, you can consider picking and choosing whichever articles interest you.
We are always looking for new members to assist with the remaining articles, so if you are interested or know of anybody that can assist, please visit the GA sweeps page. In addition, for every member that reviews 100 articles or has a significant impact on the process, s/he will get an award when they reach that threshold. If only 14 editors achieve this feat starting now, we would be done with Sweeps! Of course, having more people reviewing less articles would be better for all involved, so please consider asking others to help out. Feel free to stop by and only review a few articles, something's better than nothing! Take a look at the list, and see what articles interest you. Let's work to complete Sweeps so that efforts can be fully focused on the backlog at GAN. If you have any questions about the process, reviewing, or need help with a particular article, please contact me or OhanaUnited and we'll be happy to help. --L07ChLeo3 (T|C|A) 19:52, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

No. 14
Closer to the time, i was wondering whether you would like to do the June Metro. I know you previously had an interest in this. Though it would normally be designed\updated a few days before or at the start of the next month. If you are interested, please drop me a line and i will help out with what i can. Simply south (talk)
- If it is okay I'll give you the links now. I am going to be off the grid for a week. It may be easier to copy the previous issue and replace the sections with what needs to be updated and that. For how to do the editorial sections, see User talk:Simply south/February_to_August_2008_archive#The Metropolitan and User talk:Unisouth#Metro. For sources of various pages you need to check for developments and that see Wikipedia:WikiProject London Transport/The Metropolitan/sources and check other relevant pages. This will be the June Metro. And start it in a few days time. Simply south (talk) 22:15, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
- Probably to avoid the newsletter getting too large, i would delete the content from last month, except that which you feel is most important. I've noticed in the news section, there is a heading for June but unless you have links to future news articles that have either the incorrect date or have not been published, they should still be in May. Also, i would check every now and then seeing as this has been done early until June 1st (the next publication date) if there are any updates. It does look good so far. Btw, i am gong to be intermittent for the next week. Simply south (talk) 10:58, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
- I see your point, I have fixed the problems, so now I just wait until June 1st in case new info comes out. Crest of London (T|C|A) 11:23, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
- Saw it deleted. It updates every month after people have chosen or it is meant to (Pic of month that is). Simply south (talk) 11:46, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

talkheader
Howdy. There is a strong discouragement on adding the {{talkheader}} template to any pages that don't need it. See that template's documentation for details, (eg. "This template should be used only when needed. There is no need to add this template to every talk page."). See the template's talkpage for numerous and ongoing discussions about same. Thanks :) -- Quiddity (talk) 05:10, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Talk_pagelogo123.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Talk_pagelogo123.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MBisanz talk 08:01, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
