This is my first online venture, so I consider myself a bit of a neophyte here. I've discovered the more I learn in life, the more I understand how little I know. Fortunately, there is always lots to learn.
I'm an academic. I did not come to my education through traditional routes. I was at the first Woodstock, and played a small role in building Rochdale College. Started and ran a successful business, wrenched and rode for a motorcycle messenger service in Manhattan, raced grand prix bikes... My doctoral mentor used to tell his colleagues my "first" Ph.D. was earned in the "University of the Streets." I've a scar across the palm of my right hand from when someone tried to knife me near Hell's Kitchen in New York City. Had no choice but to grab it by the blade. I don't tolerate bullies.
I'm all about content. I'm not here for the drama. My interests are mostly in environmental management and law topics. If I can make a contribution, good. If I can help, please ask me.
This barnstar is for your excellent, structurally sound, thorough and well-referenced edits to radioactive waste. Good stuff. hamiltonstone (talk) 21:55, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the layout work on Southern Poverty Law Center. Its much cleaner and no longer a jumbled mess! Thanks for sticking your neck out in a hot topic and helping improve the article! ```` 198.70.210.143 (talk) 14:16, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
