Waray WP again
You had kept the article about subj, ignoring notability rule. Please read later forum discussion. Also report that article in Ru-Wiki about subj was deleted because of non-notability. --Postoronniy-13 (talk) 21:36, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
- There was a fairly clear local consensus there to ignore the notability rules. If you want it deleted, you'll have to start a fresh discussion to see if that attitude among the community still holds, as I'm not going to delete it several months later off that AFD. Courcelles 22:50, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
- I haven't asked you to delete the article now. :) Also in my opinion there was NO consensus - majority against deletion, but strong arguments for deletion; but it's no sense to argue about it now. :) --Postoronniy-13 (talk) 23:22, 3 October 2011 (UTC)

Deletion of Wildebeest
I heard that you were the one who deleted the page for Wildebeest. Even though I wasn't made aware of its AFD at the time, it's page did list the different Wildebeests of DC Comics from the Wildebeest Society to the Cybernetic Wildebeest. Rtkat3 (talk) 9:11, October 6 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, it did, and the AFD acknowledged that. Do you want a copy of the page as it stood at deletion? (I understand your comment, just not the purpose you are seeking here.) Courcelles 04:19, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker)I just noticed this at REFUND. The close was a proper reading of the debate but this one could have used a little more discussion. Since I've been giving Stuartyeates's "drive by" delete !votes very little weight I might have relisted this. --Ron Ritzman (talk) 13:26, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
I have to agree with the debate having a little more discussion. Of course the Wildebeest Society were one of the Teen Titans' recurring enemies. Rtkat3 (talk) 9:51, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
- I'm curious about something. You were editing during the course of this AFD and I assume you had the article watchlisted. Why didn't you know about the AFD? --Ron Ritzman (talk) 22:47, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
- I don't know. I wasn't informed of this when this was started. The Wildebeests of DC Comics were popular characters. Rtkat3 (talk) 7:04, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
- Do you have any sources that would demonstrate out-of-universe notability for these characters? Because the AFD came to a fairly strong consensus that there wasn't. Courcelles 03:19, 8 October 2011 (UTC)
- I don't know. I wasn't informed of this when this was started. The Wildebeests of DC Comics were popular characters. Rtkat3 (talk) 7:04, 7 October 2011 (UTC)

Revisit Fractiv article Fractiv
It's been one year since the deletion of this article and the company has gone on to develop a successful IPhone and Android App in the name of Lane Splitter. With over 5 million downloads on the Android market alone, I'd say that is notable. - Download statistics will not help the company meet WP:CORP standards, which must be documented by sources that are both reliable, and independent of the organisation or the sales site. Do you have any such sources? Courcelles 01:28, 11 October 2011 (UTC)

Semi-protection for Cher articles
Hi Courcelles! You probably don't remember but you once added semi-protection for 6 weeks to the Cher singles discography and Cher albums discography articles because of sustained IP user vandalism (here's an earlier discussion about it). Anyway, once these 6 weeks were up, the IP vandalism resumed and has continued up to the present day. I have just left a request for indefinite semi-protection for these articles (and the Sonny & Cher discography) at WP:RFPP, but I wanted to give you a heads up about it, since you have previously been involved with this. Hopefully indefinite semi-protection will be granted because it is clear to me that this vandalism will not stop any time soon. --Kohoutek1138 (talk) 11:17, 13 October 2011 (UTC)

Please review these blocks
There was a bug in MediaWiki 1.18 that caused blocks made via the API to have talk page access disabled when it should have been enabled. This also affected scripts such as User:Animum/easyblock.js. Please review the following blocks to make sure that you really intended talk page access to be disabled, and reblock if necessary.

Waterloo Road
Courcelles, the argreement on the waterloo road AfD was that all the character pages be merged, not just have their titles, which was how this al;l started in the first place. This Eastenders page is and example of what the party agreed with most - [1]. This is so that users don't try to re-create pages but they won't be upset or confused as there is a page to record stuff about the characters. I fear the same thing may happen again if the task isn't put into practise. Dontforgetthisone (talk) 00:40, 16 October 2011 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, what are you saying here? "was that all the character pages be merged, not just have their titles" would suggest a merge and delete, which is against our licensing rules, and may not be done for copyright reasons. Courcelles 00:42, 16 October 2011 (UTC)
- If you're suggesting List of Waterloo Road characters needs to be made to look like List of EastEnders characters (2011), you would have a good point, however the closing admin of an AFD only calls consensus, s/he does not actually perform the merge and rewrite the target to incorporate the merged content himself. Courcelles 00:44, 16 October 2011 (UTC)
- Ahh right I see, so it would be ok if I went ahead and styled the page in such a way Dontforgetthisone (talk) 01:14, 16 October 2011 (UTC)
- Of course, and you're encouraged to do so :) Courcelles 01:24, 16 October 2011 (UTC)

Languages of Angola
@Courcelles: could you please find out why most of the info contained in the source text and meant for the infobox, does not appear in the infobox in the final text? It is evidently a technical problem, but I have not been able to spot it. Thanks! -- Aflis (talk) 13:55, 16 October 2011 (UTC)
- See Template:Languages of, you can only use certain specified arguments in that infobox. I've changed them to the "proper" fields based on my best guess of what was meant. This edit is likely wrong on some detail, however, so please check and adjust as necessary. Template:Languages of/doc contains a list of all the arguments the infobox will accept, anything else will fail to display, as it was doing. Courcelles 20:24, 16 October 2011 (UTC)
Ok, thanks: you live and learn...Overall, your edit is correct, but I shall have to look into the "regional languages" part where a number of languages are lacking (mainly the herders of the South-West), because I had failed to mention them. -- Aflis (talk) 21:59, 16 October 2011 (UTC)

Hey there Courcelles, going around my business when I found this - Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/.2 Network, however it is outdated and has never been closed and the AfD message has been taken off the main page. Would you be able to close the discussion or does it not matter? Dontforgetthisone (talk) 22:56, 16 October 2011 (UTC)
- Appears that it was started in talk space, then moved into the AFD area. I've shut it down formally, but more so that anyone can start a proper second nomination than as a decision on the article, that AFD was a procedural train-wreck that just needs to be reset if anyone still wants to delete. Courcelles 23:27, 16 October 2011 (UTC)
Question
Hi there Courcelles. Just curious, what sort of automation are you using to mass-delete files on Commons? I've been looking for a good one myself but haven't had any luck. Your monobook.js did not provide any pointers so I thought I'd ask :P -FASTILY (TALK) 05:07, 17 October 2011 (UTC)
- There isn't any. I typically spend an while going through the files using the bad old ones tool, which is linked to from each of the subcategories of Category:Unknown, and then I can delete the files by tabbed browsing. (The toolserver program generates a link directly to the delete page) Courcelles 05:10, 17 October 2011 (UTC)
- Ah, I see. I've never tried that tool before. Thanks, FASTILY (TALK) 05:14, 17 October 2011 (UTC)

Micronesia
Hey. From my end, we're trying to set up an itinerary, determine the length of time and confirm dates in the next two or three weeks. If you're around on IRC, that would be helpful. We're going to do Majuro, Chuuk, Kosrae but there are potential issues time wise, as I think the Continental Micronesia route the runs twice a week between these locations and Honolulu and Guam is on Tuesday and Thursday. The goal is to spend at least two days in classrooms... and if that's the case: Eeek! That makes a timeline closer to three weeks. :/ So yeah, need an idea as to how long you can go and what islands you want to go to. --LauraHale (talk) 09:39, 19 October 2011 (UTC)
- I'm travelling today, but I'll hop on IRC and talk with you within the next 24-36 hours. Courcelles 09:45, 19 October 2011 (UTC)
- Going to sleep soon as bedtime in Australia. Will probably be on between 6:30am and 8am +11 UTC, and then may go into university and yeah. Probably online between 10am and noon +11 UTC. Anxiety when planning needs to be actually done. :) (And looked at one itinerary route, and yikes! Grants will need to be submitted.) --LauraHale (talk) 10:00, 19 October 2011 (UTC)
