Assessment
I'm active in editing athletics articles. I frequently see you assess articles that I watch containing my work. While the majority of them get the "low" I'm always puzzled how you make that attribution. Today I noticed you assessed the "Athletics at the 1968 Summer Olympics – Men's long jump" as a low priority. That was not just an average competition, that was Bob Beamon's jump. I trust you know what that did to track and field statistics. How can that just be a low? Further, what good is this assessment? What does it do? Are there any editors that take this assessment and use it to determine what to research or work on? Trackinfo (talk) 02:50, 7 November 2011 (UTC)
- For WP:OLYMPICS it is fairly simple, every article on an individual medal event is assessed as low importance. The Athletics importance might define things differently, but that's the rule for the Olympics project. Whether anyone uses it... meh, I don't, I just work on what strikes my eye from my decades of watching sports, but we have a 45,000 article backlog that needs to be cleared, and it is broadly used on Wikipedia, some people use the system. Hello,Courcelles
I am back.I am back.I am back.Do you remember me,Courcelles?I am Alison Weir.I used to edit my article, and am called imposter, imposter. But am not imposter,Courcelles.I have edited my article with many different IP adresses, each time have been called imposter. Will not tolerate it no more.Thank you.Love,MISS aLISON. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alison's back (talk • contribs) 18:24, 7 November 2011 (UTC)

- Good, good. I would have blocked for sockpuppetry, but legal threat block works as well. Courcelles 18:44, 7 November 2011 (UTC)
A wee favour
I'm not sure who often you check your commons talk page, so I've been BOLD and posted here instead. Could you eyeball this user's contributions? They are claiming "own work" but I think it's dubious at best. Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 20:05, 7 November 2011 (UTC)
- Here works fine, though I also check my COmmons talk page daily when I'm around. Copyvios, all five of them; deleted. Courcelles 00:20, 8 November 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you kindly. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 00:38, 8 November 2011 (UTC)
Why semi-protect Esther Vergeer?
You've semi-protected an article (Esther Vergeer) that gets nearly no vandalism or contentious edits. Apparently it was instigated by a nearly correct edit (minor capitalization error) by an IP-address. I've noticed you also blocked the same person under other IP addresses, but as far as I can tell, this person's edits are non-controversial. E.g. 78.147.184.136 's last edits on the Wheelchair Tennis Masters page were correct (even if they were reverted). Afasmit (talk) 20:10, 7 November 2011 (UTC)
- This person is banned from the English Wikipedia. They have no right to edit, at all, and their edits are reverted for no other reason than who made them, the community has revoked their editing privileges permanently, because the damage due to the person's presence outweighed the benefits of their good edits. I have an issue with Junebea1 (talk · contribs) on The Bad Girls Club (season 7) article. Do you think you can look into this? The information can be found on the talk page of the article and the user's recent edits to the article. Thank you, Jonayo! Selena 4 ever 22:47, 2 November 2011 (UTC)
- Whoa, missed this badly. Tell me if there is still a problem, sorry. Courcelles 05:59, 7 November 2011 (UTC)
- Its ok, vandalism is at its low, however, tonight is the reunion where the article may experience a high volume of vandalism/views according to the statistics. But I'll leave you a message if there are anymore problems. Best, Jonayo! Selena 4 ever 19:46, 7 November 2011 (UTC)
- Hate to be the one with the bad news but, the user continues to vandalize the Bad Girls Club (season 7) article, while there is currently a discussion about what needs to be done. The user continues to act out without consensus and adds or remove content when he feels like it. Seems to be that he has WP:OWN issues. Hope you can take of this. Best, Jonayo! Selena 4 ever 19:13, 8 November 2011 (UTC)
- THat's not WP:VANDALISM though. THat said, seems another admin has protected it due to vandalism, so your problems should reduce. If you have a specific problem with another user WP:DRN is the right venue. Courcelles 21:35, 9 November 2011 (UTC)

Recently you moved the page Cosmic Break from the Wikipedia:Articles for Creation page to replace the page under deletion but the deletion box was left on it. Is it still considered for deletion?--Bumblezellio (talk) 08:40, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
- This was purely a history merge, the AFD is still under consideration. Courcelles 19:59, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
- Alright thanks for the response.--Bumblezellio (talk) 05:45, 11 November 2011 (UTC)
Userfy request.
I noticed that you deleted Belfast's big two after the PROD expired. As I'm interested in football, can I ask if it be restored and userfied to me so I can source the claims in it? Thanks. The C of E. God Save The Queen! (talk) 17:31, 11 November 2011 (UTC)
2011–12 Hannover 96 Season
I don't agree that this is a plausable redirect. Fact is that Wikipedia's search system would pick up the correct article by the time that people get to this redirect. One editor that voted to delete stated "just delete it now admin." Another user stated that this was an "Implausible typo." The people who voted for a delete were clearly outnumbered the redirects 2 to 1. There is a reason for this. It's because this is currently the most useless redirect in Wikipedia. Not just English Wikipedia; but all of Wikipedia. I think you should go back and delete. Kingjeff (talk) 00:37, 13 November 2011 (UTC)
- A redirect that differs by only capitalization IS plausible, enough so that it would never get deleted under WP:R3 speedy criteria. Per WP:ATD we do not delete stuff when there is a perfectly workable alternative, as there was in this case. Courcelles 02:20, 13 November 2011 (UTC)
Problem is that this is not a useful redirect. There are editors that simply believe that this is not plausible at all. By the time that the redirect shows up, the article that it redirects to can be found in the search result. I noticed that you are a participant in WikiProject Articles for creation. I think that it is a conflict of interest that you are making decisions about articles for deletion simply because you participate in that WikiProject. Kingjeff (talk) 04:57, 13 November 2011 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but that statement makes no sense at all. WP:AFC is a process that exists ONLY to let unreistered users write articles, a function denied to them by the software. No admin who participates there is ever barred from AFD participation or closing; indeed it is commonly argued by some parties that only those who have experience reating and developing article should be deleting them (not a position I agree with totally, though I do think some article experience is highly useful for an admin; I'm just pointing out how some parts of the community feel.) Hi, we get a lot of IP vandalism on this article. I think it is mainly school kids who get assignments on this topic. Would you consider semi-protection please? Thanks. Johnfos (talk) 22:41, 13 November 2011 (UTC)
- I even had to revert vandalism when I went to look at the page! Semi-protected indefinitely, since the last six month period appears to have solved nothing. Courcelles 20:01, 15 November 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you. Happy editing! Johnfos (talk) 20:42, 15 November 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for nominating yourself, and welcome to the election. As a volunteer for coordinating the election, I've been advised to welcome you and to ensure that everything is in order. All your candidate-related pages are in order, and you've already identified yourself with the WMF. Userfication request
Hello. As you have deleted the article Nana to Kaoru and also accept request for undeletion, I would like to ask you if you can give me the text of the article into my page User:Pmt7ar/Drafts/Nana to Kaoru. If it was deleted for notability issues, I would like to work on it to make it comply with wikipedia guidelines. I'd like to see the previous content to use it as a base. Thanks. pmt7ar (talk) 02:59, 17 November 2011 (UTC)
NewzBin
If you have a spare moment, could you move NewzBin to Newzbin? The website http://www.newzbin.com/ does not show any evidence of CamelCase spelling, as of November 2011, and the 2005 redirect is now wrong. Thanks.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 21:11, 17 November 2011 (UTC)
- Having no idea if you're right or not, I've removed the redirect so that you can make the move (making them myself tends to result in people asking the mover why something was done, and I'm clueless to what is right.) 01:52, 18 November 2011 (UTC)

That ArbCom thing ... I haz a question :P
It's about that murky secret ...
In the interests of openness and transparency, if the stars aren't prepared to sell tickets, would you support the idea that the video(s) should be uploaded to Commons? The Wiki community would love to know more about these activities, I'm sure :P Pesky (talk …stalk!) 15:42, 19 November 2011 (UTC)
