Hi! It looks like you're trying to move one or more pages. However, please stop doing that this way - the new name of the page might be good, but Wikipedia has another procedure for moving pages. Look at Help:Renaming (moving) a page: you need to use the move tab, and not cut and paste. Cut and paste moves don't take the edit history with them and thus violate the GDFL copyright terms. Also, in some cases, when the move might be controversial, you might first want to discuss the move on the article's talk page. If a move is not possible because a page with the new name already exists, go to Wikipedia:Requested moves. Thanks! —Khoikhoi 03:02, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

Non-free use disputed for Image:Yagmur_duasi.gif
[edit]This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:Yagmur_duasi.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BigrTex 18:48, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:Altay logo.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Altay logo.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 21:06, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

Hi there! I assume you are the person responsible for the information added by an IP to the Priozersky District article? If so, thanks for getting an account; it should at least enable editors to contact you regarding your edits.
As for this particular article, please read the concerns raised on talk:Priozersky District before reverting. Thanks.—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); 17:36, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

I have reverted your change to the league in the infobox for Hull City A.F.C. as per the editor note on that field. I know they were promoted but they are not in that league until the start of the season. The articles will be changed on the start day of the new season which is when the official promotion takes place. The new templates have been applied but the normal practice is for the infobox to stay as is. Keith D (talk) 20:59, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image (Image:Yagmur duasi.gif)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Yagmur duasi.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Turkish First leagues between 1959-1963 were Turkish National Legaues
[edit]Dear Wikipedia admins,
Turkish First League was Turkish National League between 1959-1963 so that Turkish First League statements in seasons of 1959-60, 1960-61, 1961-62 and 1962-63 must be changed as Turkish National League. Also, Turkish National League renamed as Turkish First League after forming old Turkish Second League in 1963-64 season. Yours sincerely,--Cemsentin1 (talk) 14:04, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Garterton.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}}
(to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Sidirokastro, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. El Greco(talk) 21:45, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

Kyustendil
[edit]Hello Cemsentin1, please consider whether the Turkish names you're adding to the intro of Bulgarian city articles are actually relevant. Of course, it is okay to add Turkish names to places which have a large percent of Turkish inhabitants (like Kardzhali, Ardino, Krumovgrad, etc.) and where the Turkish name is markedly different from the Bulgarian name. However, Kyustendil's name is pretty much the same in Bulgarian and Turkish and neither the town nor its surroundings have a traditional Turkish population.
Also, please make a difference between Ottoman names and Turkish names of places: Ottoman Turkish was a pretty different language written in the Arabic script. As such, names in modern Turkish are only applicable to place that have a large Turkish population today, not like Kyustendil.
Best wishes, Todor→Bozhinov 18:03, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
- Should we insert the Bulgarian name of İzmir just because there are Bulgarians named Smirnenski or Izmirliev? Or the Bulgarian name of Istanbul based on Stambolov and Stamboliyski? Or the Bulgarian name of Venice because of the Venedikov family? We already have all the necessary info in the "Geography and history" section, with the Ottoman Turkish name of the town and its location in various administrative divisions. You're welcome to add data about the Turkish population of the town, but please provide reliable sources. Thanks and have a great day, Todor→Bozhinov 19:39, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Please take your concerns to the talk page. Current consensus appears to be against adding this information based on a tabloid report. --Onorem♠Dil 13:26, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
- One of your sources, which would not be considered a reliable source, reports the conversion. The other source simply says that the first source reported a conversion. His brother's statement doesn't address any conversion Michael himself may have made. In any case, please seek consensus on the talk page before adding this to the article. --Onorem♠Dil 14:01, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
Turkish exonyms
[edit]Thanks for the note. I deleted the page on Turkish exonyms since that was the outcome of a previous deletion discussion: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Turkish exonyms. It is Wikipedia's policy to not revisit these deletions unless new information is brought in which might alter the outcome, or if there was something irregular with how the deletion took place. I realize this list represents a great deal of work, but the consensus seems to be for deletion. To answer your question, I am not influenced by the Greek viewpoint, and I am not sure what other articles you are referring to. I would ask that you not recreate the article. Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns. Best wishes, --TeaDrinker (talk) 16:01, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you again for your note. Unfortunately, it is not my decision to delete, but the consensus of editors in the above-linked decision. Unfortunately, the deletion must stand. My apologies. --TeaDrinker (talk) 16:47, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Look, I've deleted the matches in Round 16 because the matches in Round 16 are still not known. Even though the phase bracket suggests that the matches in Round 16 are those which you've put down, they're not. The matches of Round 16 will be known tomorrow on Friday after a draw takes place. Once the draw takes place then the phase bracket will be modified in order to fit the draw. Again, the matches in Round 16 should be left blank for the moment because we won't know the matches until tomorrow. Kind regards, Qampunen (talk) 23:20, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Cemsentin1! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to these articles, it would greatly help us with the current 317 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:
- Turgut Uçar - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Sercan Görgülü - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL

File copyright problem with File:Manisaspor.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Manisaspor.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. FASTILYsock(TALK) 00:49, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for File:Rizespor.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Rizespor.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. FASTILYsock(TALK) 00:49, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

[edit] Thank you for your contributions. It seems that you may have added public domain content to one or more Wikipedia articles, such as Ukraine. You are welcome to import appropriate public domain content to articles, but in order to meet the Wikipedia guideline on plagiarism, such content must be fully attributed. This requires not only acknowledging the source, but acknowledging that the source is copied. There are several methods to do this described at Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Public domain sources, including the usage of an attribution template. Please make sure that any public domain content you have already imported is fully attributed. Thank you. Iryna Harpy (talk) 05:11, 25 November 2013 (UTC)
Sincerest apologies. I had too many pages open & added the above message to the wrong page. I did revert your change of date in the article on Ukraine, but it was actually due to your not having cited your reference for the date (which doesn't tally with sources).

Unconstructive edits
[edit]Hello. Your newest edit on the History of Iran page was once again unconstructive, thus it has been made undone. You incorrectly paraphrased material from the source, on top of the fact that you blatantly put it at a wrong part of the section (chronologically), as well as you simply completely didn't source the material correctly, conform Wikipedia's standards (refharv, cite-book utility, etc). If you want to add material, feel free to do so, but cite it properly and add it correctly. Furthermore, you've clearly used IP's as well to add the same info, which is not allowed. [edit]Please stop edit warring on 1993 Summer Offensives--217.149.166.11 (talk) 09:22, 27 December 2021 (UTC)
January 2022
[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on 1993 Summer Offensives. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. ZaniGiovanni (talk) 21:19, 4 January 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Aintabli. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Antakya, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Aintabli (talk) 15:26, 21 April 2023 (UTC)
- I added reliable references about Tulunids ( Tolunoğulları in Turkish) for Antioch (Antakya) and Hatay Province. You can see them below:

[edit]Hi Cemsentin1! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at List of wins by Kwantum–Decosol–Yoko and its successors that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Cycling results page
[edit]Hello, the page List of wins by Kwantum–Decosol–Yoko and its successors is set to a standard which all other cycling team results pages are set to. Looking at List of wins by Cycling Academy Team and its successors, List of wins by BMC Racing Team and its successors and List of wins by Colnago–Lampre and its successors you can see that the only classifications mentioned are overall unless it is for a Grand tour.
This is also seen on the page in question in previous years and this years Tirreno win by Roglic who also won the points classification.
Wearing the leaders jersey is not notable for a team unless in a Grand Tour. But by common standard this detail is only added in the riders page and not the cycling teams results. Paulpat99 (talk) 03:48, 12 June 2023 (UTC)
- Dear Paulpat99, The point classification in any cycling race is the most important result after the general classification. This cannot be ignored. Please accept my change. Yours sincerely, Cemsentin1 (talk) 08:03, 13 June 2023 (UTC)
- It is not the standard that has been in place for many years. If you wish to make a change to the status quo you must get a consensus from Wikipedia:WikiProject Cycling by posting your request here Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Cycling. Paulpat99 (talk) 09:38, 13 June 2023 (UTC)

List of wins by Kwantum–Decosol–Yoko and its successors
[edit]Hello Cemsentin1, please stop continuously adding unnecessary content to the page List of wins by Kwantum–Decosol–Yoko and its successors.
I've already tried to explain to you that the secondary classifications in stage races (for example Mountains classification, Points classification, Young riders classification etc.) do NOT belong into those types of articles. They are added only to the personal pages of the riders that win them. This is purely a list of professional wins. That means only wins in one-day races, stages or GC in stage races should be added. Why? Because they earn UCI points. The only exemption from this are the secondary classifications in Grand Tours but that's because unlike the classifications in other stage races, they actually offer UCI points for top placings.
I hope you understand what I'm trying to explain here and why I'm reverting your edits. If you have any other questions on this topic, don't be afraid to ask.
Best regards, Šimisborec (talk) 17:14, 27 April 2024 (UTC)
- I can't agree with your arguments from 2 perspectives. Firstly, you ignore additional achievements of the respective cyclists. Secondly, if the king of the mountains and best young cyclist classifications are unimportant to you, why are they counted among the victories of them ? This means that my objection is justified. Please give the devil her due and stop interfering with the this page. Best regards, Cemsentin1 (talk) 01:04, 28 April 2024 (UTC)
