How do you do, Cassiopeia? There is something unusual happening. In Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/K-391, it appears to me that some fans of the musician are coming along to vote keep in the discussion. It is slightly concerning because this technique prevents the deletion process from moving smoothly. I have a feeling those people were instructed by the musician himself to show up and voice out against deleting the page. Do you know how to deal with this? I am asking you because I do not know anyone else on here. KoopaLoopa (talk) 08:05, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

KoopaLoopa Greetings. The IP user had only one edit and it was made on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/K-391. The IP editor might be a Sock puppeteer or WP:MEATPUPPET or just a random registered editor who did not log in while making the edit - we would not know. If you want an investigation, then to to WP:SPI and click on "How to open an investigation:". Place the master puppet name (that is the one you have to figure out which editor), and list the stock. Provide "history diff" and clear explanation of the case. If you do not have good evident, then pls do not file it - Wikipedia:Don't be quick to assume that someone is a sockpuppet Pls read through all the links I provided above prior any action is taken. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 11:06, 10 June 2019 (UTC)
I do not know to proceed with WP:SPI. Will you please assist me with that? I don't have any information on those people but I think it's no coincidence they came there to vote keep by themselves. Also the creator of that article was blocked for undisclosed paid editing, so could it be them who is the mastermind? KoopaLoopa (talk) 19:05, 10 June 2019 (UTC)
KoopaLoopa, hi, I have explained to you on my previous message on how to file the report and you would read more about it at WP:SPI - see THIS example.Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 01:34, 11 June 2019 (UTC)

Strathnairn

Strathnairn (Canberra)

Hi, thank you for accepting the article Strathnairn (Canberra). Is it possible to please move this article to the title "Strathnairn, Australian Capital Territory" as per system of naming for Canberra suburbs. I had input the article title as the name of the article, however, only titled the draft "Strathnairn". I can update the hyperlinks to the new title. I do not have the ability to move the article from my username. Gebruikersnaam55 (talk) 05:27, 11 June 2019 (UTC)

Hi Gebruikersnaam55 Greeting. Moved to Strathnairn, Australian Capital Territory as requested. Cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 05:29, 11 June 2019 (UTC)
I just saw your update. Thank you. Gebruikersnaam55 (talk) 05:31, 11 June 2019 (UTC)
Hi Gebruikersnaam55 You are welcome and thank you for your contribution. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 05:35, 11 June 2019 (UTC)

Hi, Cassiopeia and thank you for your interaction, I'am creating articles that covers women's sports and sport statistics, I know some articles might have a simple contents and are very simple, this is due to my English level, But Articles must be created first and therefor developed over time, I have added all citations and sources to the last article you have noted, Hopefully, your removed from the draft list. thank you.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Gobantini (talkcontribs) 18:21, June 11, 2019 (UTC)

Gobantini Greeting. You have added sources but they are primary which can not be contributed to the notability of the draft article. You need to provide independent, reliable sources which states specifically about the number (wins) of "women's club international titles in volleyball". Sources from newspaper would be good and stand alone list article do allow to have group sources. Lastly, pls do not remove the submission template on the top of the article, when you have provide the appropriate source then hit the submit button for review. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 10:29, 11 June 2019 (UTC)

Hello CASSIOPEIA

Per WP:MMAORG, Krantz has had three fights in top-tier promotions. His two bouts in Bellator MMA took place during the period where the promotion was labeled as top tier from 2009 to 2015, with both bouts occurring in 2012. I would ask you to please reverse your edits on his wiki page. Please let me know if you have any questions. Luchuslu (talk) 16:34, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

hi Luchuslu Greetings. I didnt notice his two Bellator bouts and I apologies for redirect the page. I have removed the redirect and added all the wikilinks to the associated pages. You could find the article in the mainspace here - Derrick Krantz. Once again, my apologies and the mistake was soley mine. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 02:31, 11 June 2019 (UTC)

The message you sent me

Hello,

I don't appreciate the message you just sent me about the changes made to Khabib Nurmagomedov's page : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khabib_Nurmagomedov

I went to check the page a few hours ago and noticed that some troll made inappropriate/racists changes to his page (mainly the "Rat" comment), so I went to correct two of them, and now you accuse me of vandalism? I assume you got confused and thought I was the one that made the bad edits. If so, then no harm done but double check the edits before falsely accusing people trying to correct mistakes and bigoted comments.

Have a good day. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.140.58.203 (talk) 03:04, 12 June 2019 (UTC)

77.140.58.203 I am so sorry. The message was not meant for you but other editor which I place my cursor on the wrong line and sent the message. I have removed the message from your talk page and thank you for corrected the text on Kabib page. Once again, thank you for informing me and my apologies. Thank you. Created Pages Moved To Edit

You recently moved 3 pages 2019-0 FA Cup qualifying rounds, 2019-20 FA Trophy and 2019-20 FA Vase I created to Edit as they had no references, I've since added a reference to each page as they've since been made available but someone else won't take the pages out of Edit mode, any help?

BTW, one of the pages I mentioned above, had one for last season 2018-19 FA Trophy and that had no references from it's creation to its finish and that was never moved to edit. "Smithy53 (talk) 13:31, 11 June 2019 (UTC)"

Smithy53 Good day. I believe you were referred to Draft:2019–20 FA Cup qualifying rounds, 2018–19 FA Cup and Draft:2019–20 FA Trophy. I noticed you have added one reference (source) to each of the draft article; however they are not the right source as the are consider WP:PRIMARY source which are considered not independent. We need at least at least 3 [[WP:IS|independent], reliable sources for verification where by the sources talk about the subject directly and not merely passing mentioned. Sources such as from major newspapers are good source and sources can be in any languages. Sources from official web site, home page, marketing, press releases, user generated sources, interviews, and etc are considered not independent and / or not reliable and ca not be used to contribute /demonstrate the notability of the subject. Once you have added 3 sources for each article then let me know. Pls see WP:GOLDENRULE.
We have a limited of reviewers and some of new as such some articles acceptable and also see WP:OSE. However, to say that, even if the article is accepted and irregardless how many years it has been in Wikipedia mainspace and it could be nominated for deletion if any editor find the it does not meet the notability guidelines. Cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 13:52, 11 June 2019 (UTC)
Good luck in someone being able to find 3 sources each for those pages even before the season has started, not sure where you are but those 3 pages are regarding English non-league football cups and the draws are mainly only announced on www.TheFA.com's website (the FA is the governing body of English football), so it will be difficult in finding 3 independant sources.
And if I'd have known that "even if the article is accepted and irregardless how many years it has been in Wikipedia mainspace and it could be nominated for deletion if any editor find the it does not meet the notability guidelines." I wouldn't wasted my time in updating each FA Cup qualifying, FA Trophy and FA Vase pages over the last 3 years for the chance it could be deleted. "Smithy53 (talk) 14:16, 11 June 2019 (UTC)"
Smithy53 Please when not an editor nominate an article for deletion, does not mean the article will be deleted automatically. It needs to go to article for deletion discussion, and if other editors find the article is notable based on Wikipedia notability requirements, then the article will stay in Wikipedia, in short, only article truly meet Wikipedia notability requirements will stay in Wikipedia mainspace for good. Since there are not independent sources to be available at this stage of your draft articles to support the content claim it means, it is WP:TOOSOON and WP:CRYSTALL at the moment. If you have not read the WP:GOLDENRULE link which I provided on my previous message, I suggest you to read so you may understand the requirements needed. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 01:55, 12 June 2019 (UTC)
CASSIOPEIA I find it strange that you won't just accept a source from one of the governing bodies of English football (The FA) as a reliable one and would prefer one from somone who is independant and less trustworthy. For the last 3 years since I've been updating these 3 pages it has never been a problem and I find one or two of people who moderate on Wiki petty, so if it's all the same from now on I'll let others fill in these 3 pages, good luck with that as getting all the attendances is difficult if you don't know where to look. "Smithy53 (talk) 05:07, 12 June 2019 (UTC)"
Smithy53 A source can be reliable but not independent (such as FA is associate with the clubs). We need both independent (from the subject) and reliable (well reputable sources) such as independent reliable media (such as major newspaper) talk about the subject. I have provided you the links and do suggest you to read to understand further. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 09:19, 12 June 2019 (UTC)
CASSIOPEIA Read and now closed. Smithy53 (talk) 13:00, 12 June 2019 (UTC)

account and article

Would like to ask if my account can't lose its privelages. I'm aware I have had multiple accounts in the past, primarily because I forget my passwords and sometimes find Wikipedia confusing.

Also, I really ask that my article Draft:Free Republic of Verdis is approved. It was previously declined due to lack of references, although it now has references. JHaworth recently unblocked it and I am now trying to get it to be accepted. It is not a hoax. I am a founding member of Verdis and am just trying to get it on wikipedia, primarily for a knowledge panel on Google along with it generally being on Wikipedia like Liberland, which we have very similar beliefs and efforts to. — Preceding unsigned comment added by EnjoyableWiki1 (talkcontribs) 09:45, 12 June 2019 (UTC)

EnjoyableWiki1 The page has been created by sock repeatedly and the subject is a hoax and promotional piece and for you to create the page just after it has been deleted you might be one of socks. If you are the founder of this nation then you should not write about the subject as you have conflict of interest. To merit a page in Wikipedia subject need to be notable and the content need to be supported with significant coverage by IS|independent, reliable sources where by the sources (from major newspapers such as New York Time, The Guardian etc.) talk about the subject in length and in depth. Pls see WP:GOLDENRULE. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 10:33, 12 June 2019 (UTC)

As you are currently one of the 29 most active editors at WP:TH, your name and an image has now replaced that of an inactive host. Because you've already added yourself to the full list of active hosts, I have simply used the same image (even though it looks rather unclear when minimised). Deleted Article Stub: Draft:Contact diode effect

Dear Cassiopeia,

Thank you for your kind follow-up.

I tried to follow-up myself after my article was deleted. As a newcomer, I rapidly got lost in the weeds of what Wikipedia policies (or policy) I violated when I created it. Perhaps because it remained the only policy I had some awareness of, it occurred to me that I may have attempted to place too much original material into the article, and that is not the mission of Wikipedia or any encyclopedia. But this is only my guess, and obviously it is a biased one. In the original article I believe I found two references to real-world instances involving recording engineer Doug Sax of The Mastering Lab in the 1970's, as well as references to the underlying physics, but, that may not have been enough. My hope was that by writing the article as a stub, other people with more diverse expertise would expand it. The stub would serve as a nucleation center. That's a chicken and egg problem. And chicken and egg problems may not be what Wikipedia was created to solve. And that is a good thing if I understand that properly. I considered the possibility of writing a review article myself, however that presents the twin challenges of growing my understanding from stub-length to article-length and finding a place for it. While I think solving the lack of source material on The Contact Diode Effect is worth the effort of my first foray into Wikipedia I can honestly say that I do not want to spend the effort I imagine a stand-alone article would require. And, from Hofstadter's Law, it always takes longer that you think. So, after I failed to engage the person who deleted the stub, I did nothing.

If you have suggestions for how I might proceed, I would welcome them.

Sincerely,

Mark Frautschi

MarkFrautschi Hi Good day. You article was deleted due to it was staled for 6 months - see HERE. You could get a at WP:REFUND. You dont need to write a full length article for the article to be in Wikipedia main space. What you should do are (1) provide (a) multiple (at least 3) (b) independent, (c) reliable sources to support the content claimed for (d) verification where by the sources talk about the subject (e) directly (f) in length and in details and not merely passing mentioned. (2) the content should be free of copyright infringement - write the article in your own words and (3) free of WP:PROMOTION. (4) write the article in neutral point of view. Hi. Maglavit Monastery article is a stub. You should mark the article with unref not make it a draft.--MSClaudiu (talk) 05:17, 17 June 2019 (UTC)

Hi MSClaudiu Greetings. I does not matter if an article is a sub class, start class or etc, the content needs to be supported by significant independent reliable sources to verify the content claimed where by he burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material- pls see WP:BURDEN. Without the sources, we could not verify the info and thus cant establish the notability of the subject. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 05:30, 17 June 2019 (UTC)

Cyber-Governance

Hello, Carol Chisholm here, thanks for your guidance with my draft on Cyber-Governance. I am preparing a "mémoire" on the subject as part of my professional board member certification (www.acad.ch). I could not find a suitable definition or list of resources. My intention was to provide a basic article and add reference material as I find it. I also hoped that other contributors might complete my work (hence the declared conflict of interest). I am actively researching the subject.

I have made some changes, more will come. Does re-submitting cause a lot of work for you? As soon as I have time I will try and figure out how to do references for sub topics - I suppose I can refer to Wikipedia articles for sub-topics?

Carol Chisholm (talk) 06:41, 17 June 2019 (UTC)

Carol Chisholm Greetings. For a page to be accepted in Wikipedia mainspace, the subject needs to be notable and the content need to supported by sigificant coverage of indepedent, reliable sources (such as from major newspapers or reputable journals) for verification and it is the WP:BURDEN of the editor who added the info to provide verification - see WP:PROVEIT. Pls see referencing for inline citation info and instructions and you could use "horizonta" template for web source - see Template:Cite Web. Do read WP:GOLDENRULE and WP:Your First Article. Question

Hi. First, thanks for all you do on WP, especially at NPP. I noticed that you are familiar with WP:MMABIO. I think I've made an error through laziness. I reviewed a number of pages by user:Khonda8. I was lazy and noticed that many of their pages have been marked reviewed by members of our group (some of whom make quite a few reviews), so rather than go to the source itself, WP:MMABIO, I simply applied the same criteria that were present on the other reviewed pages. However, having now looked into the relevant SR, I'm thinking these fighters don't pass notability criteria. Would you do me a favor, and take a look at some of their creations, and give me your opinion? Thanks.Onel5969 TT me 12:41, 19 June 2019 (UTC)

Hi Onel5969 Good day. Those articles by Khonda8 are kickboxers and not mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters for such WP:MMABIO does not apply here. In combat sports categories, there is no WP:SSN notability guidelines for kickboxing, Grappling/Jujutsu/Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ), Kung Fu/Sanda, Karate, Sambo, for such WP:SPORTCRIT would be the notability guidelines we follow, and fighters who has won/competed in the championship titles (such as World Jiu-Jitsu Championship/Pan-American Championship (jiu-jitsu)/K-1/and etc. of the highest level (no white belt/blue belts/purple belt/brown belt but only black belt and no junior but only senior catogory) would considered notable enough to be included in mainspace of Wikipedia.
As for combat sports in Olympic Games (such as fencing, Tae kwon do, wrestling), the notability guidelines would be WP:NOLYMPICS. For MMA fighters we follow WP:MMABIO notability guidelines and for professional boxers we follow WP:NBOX. In addition, there is no website (English) on the complete stats on kickboxers for us to check the fighters fight record against what what is placed in the articles which unlike in MMA, we refer to Sherdog.com and in boxing we refer to BoxRec. In general rules, if a kickboxer/Muay Thai fighter has competed in a title fight in any weight devision in K-1 organisation or in Lumpinee in Bangkok, the fighter would definitely notable.
Do note, there are fighters do fight in multi combat disciplines, or transitional from one specific combat sport to another, such as from Wrestling to MMA (notably Olympian Henry Cejudo, Sara McMann, Tyron Woodley and Yoel Romero, Judo to MMA (notably Olympian Ronda Rousey) , Kickboxing to MMA (Notably Valentina Shevchenko, Joanna Jędrzejczyk, Germaine de Randamie, Israel Adesanya, Mark Hunt, Gegard Mousasi, too many to mention) Boxing to MMA (Heather Hardy, Pearl Gonzalez, and many more) and BJJ to MMA - (notably Royce Gracie, Kron Gracie, AJ Agazarm, and many more) and professional wrestler to MMA (notable Kazushi Sakuraba, Brock Lesnar, CM Punk and others) and Karate to MMA notably Stephen Thompson, Robert Whittaker, Sage Northcutt and etc), Sambo to MMA (notably Khabib Nurmagomedov, Islam Makhachev, Fedor Emelianenko and many more, Kungfu/Sanda to MMA (notable Muslim Salikhov, Weili Zhang and Zabit Magomedsharipov and etc, the fighters would be notable as long as the notability criteria is met in any of the combat sport discipline they have competed in. Cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 05:39, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
Hi, and thanks for the VERY detailed response. Subsequent to posting my question above, I did some more research and came across WP:NKICK for kickboxing, which does mention K-1, WMC, ISKA, WAKO-Pro, Glory, It's Showtime, WKN, WBC Muaythai as notable levels. Ironically, when I looked up WP:NMMA, NKICK is directly above it, but didn't appear on my screen, so I missed it. Regardless, again, thanks for taking so much time to respond. Keep up the good work. Dear CASSIOPEIA can you please review my article Kannad Gothilla please pleaseShreyashv26 (talk) 12:42, 21 June 2019 (UTC)
Shreyashv26, First of all, pls add additional ":" from previous message before you start your message. This is to create "one space indentation to the right" as this is part of the protocall of Wikipedia communication. Secondaly I have mentioned to you several times, a film would pass the notability it there is evident that the film is under production or release dates. You have asked me before to review the article and I have informed you there is no citation indicate the date of release. No review could be done at this point and please do not ask for review when was is needed has not been done. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk)

Help! Please Review my Article? Draft:Chris Powerell

Hey CASSIOPEIA, Please review my page which is still, draft and I don't have any references as I am writing the page for my own, and Wikipedia Policies don't allow to link any other social media platform linking. So please pass it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Chris_Powerell — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shreyanshpandeyat (talkcontribs) 13:21, 21 June 2019 (UTC)

Shreyanshpandeyat Greetings. The article Draft:Chris Powerell does not meet the notability guidelines needed. The content of the draft needs to support by published sources which are independent and reliable. Sources from social media, official web site, sites associate with the subject, interviews and marketing and etc sources are not acceptable for notability purposes. Pls see WP:GOLDENRULE. Thank you. Hi CASSIOPEIA! Recently i created 3 articles that at the first moment had not references. I am talking about the articles: Draft:2019–20 Women's EHF Champions League group stage, Draft:2019–20 Women's EHF Champions League main round, Draft:2019–20 Women's EHF Champions League knockout stage. After they were moved to draftspace i added two sources each from the organizer EHF. I think that now the articles have enough minimum sources to return to mainspace because the articles have source from the reliable EHF web site and all the data articles have, can be verified from the references. As a confirmation of this you can look the last year EHF CL articles sourcing: 2018–19 Women's EHF Champions League group stage, 2018–19 Women's EHF Champions League main round and 2018–19 Women's EHF Champions League knockout stage. As soon as new data will be available i will update the article and i will continue to improve and to put as many references as possible from EHF champions league site. So please review my articles. Thanks!Dellux mkd (talk) 23:46, 22 June 2019 (UTC)

Dellux mkd Greetings. Thank you for adding the sources; however, the sources provided are WP:PRIMARY sources. We need [[WP:SIGCOV|significant coverage (at least 3 for a start) of independent, reliable sources for verification. Sources form newspapers or reliable handball news sites would be good. Once you have done that, then let me know - see WP:GOLDENRULE. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 00:47, 23 June 2019 (UTC)
