by the way, as a personal note, though I don't think there needs to be separate articles for the various segments of the show, I think the The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show article needs improvement on the summaries in the section "Supporting features" and because you seem to have expertise about the show I think it would be a great place to start. Have a great day. Valley2city 19:59, 18 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

::Just an update, I decided that since there was no discussion being generated that if there is no objection the article will be deleted in 5 days. The details are in the message below. Thanks. Valley2city 18:29, 19 January 2009 (UTC) [reply]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Aesop And Son, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
This new article has very little content and would need to be completely rewritten to be viable. There is a section in the article The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show which could instead use expansion. This seems uncontroversial and therefore I am prodding it.
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Valley2city 18:25, 19 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am not 100% sure on that. User:BuddyBoy600
Alright, since you raised an objection I have put it back to Articles for Deletion where a discussion can be generated. Sorry about that. I welcome your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Aesop And Son. Valley2city 20:07, 19 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Store 24

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Store 24 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Disputed fair use rationale for File:MGM Cartoon Logo 60s.jpg}

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:MGM Cartoon Logo 60s.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Your uploads

[edit]

Good day. I see that you have uploaded a number of images to Wikipedia. First off, thank you for your contributions. Unfortunately, there are some guidelines that we need to follow with copyrighted images. Specifically, you need to add a source for the image (a link to a website will do), a copyright tag (there are some listed at WP:ICT), and a rationale explaining why we can use a copyrighted image (explained at WP:NFURG). I see that your images fail to include one of these. Please stop uploading images and address the concerns listed above. If you need assistance, you can ask at the help desk. If you do not fix these images, and you continue to make bad uploads, you will be blocked and your images will be deleted. Thanks for your contributions! Even when you call it Category:Blocked Wikipedia users, we do not want it. I cannot quote a decision off-hand but I get the feeling that, if discussed, the decision would be to delete it. We want to leave as little trace of vandalism as possible. This is part of a general deny recognition policy. Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Image permission problem with Image:NESTestStationFront.jpg

[edit]
Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:NESTestStationFront.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the image (or other media file) agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the image to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the image has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the image's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Images lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 00:27, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Gary Lassin

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Gary Lassin requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Reverted edit to Marsupilami

[edit]

Can I get a reason for you reverting my edit? I think it is relevant that in making and marketing the cartoon, Disney did not follow its deal with Marsu Productions and that Marsu sued and won as a consequence. I removed the line about "The episodes can be seen recently on Youtube" because, per WP:ELNEVER, "Knowingly directing others to material that violates copyright may be considered contributory infringement", though I can agree it may not apply since there is not a direct link to any infringing videos. Kcowolf (talk) 21:20, 24 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

How could Marsu Productions sued Disney for? It think it's because The Disney version of Marsupilami can speak, And The Non-Disney version of Marsupilami only says HOUBA! And nothing else. User:BuddyBoy600
Read the source:

"Under the Agreement... Disney was required (1) to make thirteen half-hour animated films featuring Marsupilami by December 31, 1993;(2) to employ its "best efforts" to secure a television network commitment to air the half-hour animated films; and (3) to aggressively expand the market for Marsupilami by entering into licensing agreements with third parties to merchandise Marsupilami products.

Contrary to the terms of the Agreement, Disney did not produce the thirteen half-hour animated films or use its "best efforts" to secure a commitment from a television network to air the animated films. Instead, in February 1991, Disney convinced Marsu to accept a "roll-out" strategy that contemplated a slower and more incremental release of Marsupilami animations by producing a number of six to eight minute "shorts" rather than thirteen half-hour animated films. Disney told Marsu that the roll-out strategy was the only way to get television networks to air Marsupilami animations. But while convincing Marsu to accept the roll-out strategy, Disney never revealed that no Disney official had ever asked any television network to air half-hour Marsupilami animations."

(185 F3d 932 Marsu Bv v. The Walt Disney Company)

In other words, Disney agreed to make 30 minute episodes and only did 6-8 minute episodes, and they didn't do enough to promote the show, and as a result, Marsu won the lawsuit. If you want to revert edits that have sources like that, please discuss them first. Thanks. Kcowolf (talk) 03:15, 6 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Reverted my information on Marsu suing Disney again

[edit]

I noticed you again reverted my addition of the information about Marsu suing Disney to Marsupilami. I think it's relevant to the information about the Disney animation, and the information is backed up by a reliable source. I would appreciate an explanation. I mentioned on the talk page that I was willing discus whether that section should be added and in what form; it would be polite for you to at least explain on the talk page why you removed it and offer to discuss it. Okay, I see now that you did mention that you think "Squeal of Fortune" from Sesame Street. Could you clarify what you mean by this, and how it relates to whether or not the information about the lawsuit should be in the article? Kcowolf (talk) 08:20, 3 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:MGM Cartoon 1963 (Regular version).jpg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:MGM Cartoon 1963 (Regular version).jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Courcelles 04:04, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Steve Mackall has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Only two roles. Sources are IMDb and a directory listing. No non-trivial sources or biographical info found.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

Radio Disney Group

[edit]

Hello BuddyBoy600. You're making a mistake in Radio Disney Group article. Radio Disney Group will continue to exist after November 26 (until it is sold the last radio station) and only will lose the affiliations. In addition, your edits may suggest that RDG is a shell company or an inexistent company that "currently" owns various stations. Greetings and good luck!

PD: Your edits were not reverted because first I want to see if we can come to a midpoint.

WUBG

[edit]

Hello, I would recommend that before changing the names of the articles on radio stations (that changed the callsign), see in the FCC database. Why? Because you had moved the article "WRDZ-FM" to "WUBG-FM" yesterday, and today license just appeared on the FCC database as "WUBG" and not as "WUBG-FM". The next, check the page before renaming the article about a radio or TV station. Best regards! --Mega-buses (discusión / Talk) 19:55, 21 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Why thank you. And BTW, I found out WMKI just went off the air as well. I think the FCC approved the sale to Salem Media Group. And I am going to miss Radio Disney in Boston. BuddyBoy600

Your recent add to List of Apple IIGS Games article

[edit]

Hi BuddyBoy600. Thanks for your add of "Where in Europe is Carmen Sandiego?" on the article List of Apple IIGS games. I've been involved in many projects preserving Apple IIGS software over the years, and had absolutely no idea this particular IIGS-specific port may exist (I was about to dismiss your entry, until I saw you posted a video link of it on YouTube; or at least what appears to be the actual game in-play. However on second viewing it appears suspiciously like a mock-up. A simulation of what a IIGS version could have looked like). I've since removed your add from the list, but if I've misinterpreted what is actually a REAL copy of the game, could you please provide more information, such as where a downloadable copy could be found for archival purposes? Thanks--Apple2gs (talk) 05:47, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Piñata Farms requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hi. Your edit to Palisades Center was reverted, because Wikipedia cannot accept uncited material. Wikipedia requires that the material in its articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable (usually secondary) sources explicitly cited in the article text in the form of an inline citation, which you can learn to make here. You've been editing here since 2008, so you are expected to adhere to these policies and guidelines, just as the rest of the editing community. Thanks. Stop marking all of your edits as minor

[edit]

Carefully read WP:MINOR. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Inappropriately marking an edit as minor is deceptive and rude to other editors. Your edit on Marsupilami is not necessarily on the grounds of Wikipedia policy and guidelines. Removing a reliable source is considered disruptive editing. I mean you can’t do that just because you feared that YouTube would remove Marsupilami and you being banned from the site. This started when André Franquin sued Disney in 1999, which was years before YouTube was created. You can’t be nervous and remove reliable sources to prevent people from knowing them. You might be at risk of being blocked from editing as the admins on this site mean business. Trust me. You don’t want to go there. Retrosunshine2006 talk 07:09, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
