Hey, Winnerboy77! Creating an article is definitely a difficult task, and one of the hardest for new editors. If you don't feel ready to create an article yourself, just make sure the subject is notable enough and you can add it to the proper list at WP:RA, where someone might create it someday. Hi, I notice you've twice reverted an IP editor who wanted to insert a comment that Alysa Liu has blue eyes in the lead of the article about her on grounds that the information is irrelevant. Totally agreed. I only searched in case I found a huge array of newspaper articles entitled "Ice Skater has Amazing Blue Eyes!". Not a bother at all, honestly! The first place I recommend checking out is Help:Your first article. That page describes the whole process, from the very basics to creating the draft itself. However, keep in mind that creating an article from scratch is generally one of the absolute hardest things for a newcomer to do, so you may want to consider trying a few other tasks first. Can you clarify; you mean yes to deleting the draft, correct? You didn't actually delete it, you just removed the content. (And please use accurate edit summaries.) To address your other point, no. Wikipedia is "the free online encyclopedia that anyone can edit", not "the free online encyclopedia that one person can edit". Election results: Jonesey95 retired as lead coordinator. Reidgreg was approved to fill this role after an 18-month absence from the coordinator team, and Baffle gab1978 was chosen as an assistant coordinator following a one-year break. Dhtwiki, Miniapolis and Tenryuu continued on as long-standing assistant coordinators.

January Drive: Of the 22 editors who signed up, 16 editors claimed 146 copy edits including 45 requests. (details)

February Blitz: This one-week effort focused on requests and a theme of Africa and African diaspora history. Of the 12 editors who signed up, 6 editors recorded 21 copy edits, including 4 requests. (details)

March Drive: Of the 28 editors who signed up, 18 claimed 116 copy edits including 25 requests. (details)

April Blitz: This one-week copy editing event has been scheduled for 17–23 April, sign up now!

Progress report: As of 11 April, copy editors have removed approximately 500 articles from the backlog and completed 127 copy-editing requests during 2022. The backlog has been hovering at about 1,100 tagged articles for the past six months.

I not writing a how-to manual. If I was writing about an apple would I allowed to say, "You can eat an apple". Yes and that would not make the page a how-to manual. Advice/ help on Draft: Peter Queally (fighter)

Hey man, I saw that you reviewed and turned down my article on Peter Queally (the Bellator fighter). I know that there is criteria for notability, and for MMA a fighter must have been ranked in the top 10 of FightMatrix? However, there are many fighters with Wikipedia articles who for which this is not the case, and have never been ranked close to top 10. Peter has fought for a world title and beat the current champion, and he has over 3 fights in top level MMA organisations.

Therefore, I was wondering is there anything I can do to help get this article submitted, for example adding more references (or something else) or is it completely out of my control? @FFCETT77: Looking into it a bit more now, the draft seems to meet the general notability guideline, so it should actually be fine on the notability end. I was basically declining on the grounds that no changes were made between the decline and the resubmission, which generally isn't a good sign.
Also, as a side note, I'd like to point you over to WP:WAX just to get you out of the habit of comparing Wikipedia articles with one another like that. For example, not all articles have gone through the AfC process as yours is now. This includes Cody Law; there was no reviewer there before that was added to the mainspace. Blitz: of the 16 editors who signed up for our April Copy Editing Blitz, 12 completed at least one copy-edit, and between them removed 21 articles from the copy-editing backlog. Barnstars awarded are here.

Drive: 27 editors signed up for our May Backlog Elimination Drive; of these, 20 copy-edited at least one article. 144 articles were copy-edited, and 88 articles from our target months August and September 2021 were removed from the backlog. Barnstars awarded are here.

Blitz: our June Copy Editing Blitz, starting at 00:01, 19 June and closing at 00:59, 25 June (UTC), will focus on articles tagged for copy edit in September and October 2021, and requests from March, April and May 2022. Barnstars awarded will be posted here.

Progress report: As of 07:12, 14 June 2022 (UTC), GOCE copyeditors have completed 209 requests since 1 January and the backlog stands at 1,404 articles.

Normally, I'd point you toward the usual article submission process, but I think I'm going to have to stop you right here on this one. Wikipedia is not the place to publish your autobiography, particularly when you definitely do not appear to meet our notability criteria for people. Unfortunately, this wouldn't make it past a single review as a submitted draft.

Div-span-flip lint errors

Please take a look at Div-span-flip lint errors in User namespace. Everything emanates from {{User:Bsoyka/Navbar}}, but that calls {{User:Bsoyka/Alerts}}, which calls {{User:Bsoyka/Wikibreak}}, which calls {{User:Bsoyka/Navbar}}. I don't know how these templates avoid infinite recursion, and I don't know which one is the real source of the lint error, but please find it and fix it. —Anomalocaris (talk) 22:38, 5 July 2022 (UTC)

Drive: Of the 22 editors who signed up for our July Backlog Elimination Drive, 18 copy-edited, between them, 116 articles. Barnstars awarded are noted here.

Blitz: Participants in our August Copy Editing Blitz copy-edited 51,074 words in 17 articles. Of the 15 editors who signed up, 11 claimed at least one copy-edit. Barnstars awarded are noted here.

Drive: Forty-one editors took part in our September Backlog Elimination Drive; between them they copy-edited 199 articles. Barnstars awards are noted here.

Blitz: Our October Copy Editing Blitz begins on 16 October at 00:01 (UTC) and will end on 22 October at 23:59 (UTC). Barnstars awarded will be posted here.

Progress report: As of 19:57, 12 October 2022 (UTC), GOCE copyeditors have processed 303 requests for copy edit – including withdrawn and declined ones – since 1 January. At the time of writing, there are 77 requests awaiting attention and the backlog of tagged articles stands at 1,759. We always need more active, skilled copyeditors – particularly for requests – so please get involved if you can.

Election news: In our mid-year election, serving coordinators Baffle gab1978, Dhtwiki, Miniapolis, Reidgreg and Tenryuu were returned for another term, and were joined by new coordinator Zippybonzo. No lead coordinator was elected for this half-year. Jonesey95, a long-serving coordinator and lead, was elected as coordinator emeritus; we thank them for their service. Thank you to everyone who took part. Our next election of coordinators takes place throughout December. If you'd like to help out at the GOCE, please consider nominating yourself or other suitable editors (with their permission, of course!). It's your Guild, after all!

Hi there, I am new to Wikipedia and work as a promoter for an orchestral conductor. I would like to create a Wikipedia page for the conductor but I'm finding the process a little overwhelming and complicated! @FortemusicSRJ: To put it very simply, I'd recommend just avoiding any work related to this conductor on Wikipedia. Wikipedia isn't a place to advertise or promote. Not only could this type of editing result in a violation of Wikipedia's terms if done improperly, it could also very easily result in a non-neutral POV on the article, which is contrary to Wikipedia's purpose. You may want to request the article at WP:RA, but the bottom line is basically that if this conductor is truly notable enough for an article, someone unaffiliated will eventually make it happen. Blitz: Our October Copy Editing Blitz focused on July and August 2022 request months; and articles tagged for c/e in December 2021 and January 2022. Seventeen of those who signed up claimed at least one copy-edit, and between them copy-edited forty-six articles. Barnstars awarded are here.

Drive: In the November Backlog Elimination Drive, thirty editors signed up, twenty-two of whom claimed at least one copy-edit. Both target months—December 2021 and January 2022—were cleared, and February was added to the target months. Sixteen requests were copy-edited and 239 articles were removed from the backlog. Blitz: Our seven-day-long December 2022 Copy Editing Blitz begins on 17 December at 00:01 (UTC)*. It will focus on articles tagged for copy-edit in February 2022, and pending requests from September and October. Barnstars awarded will be available here.

@Sulhansiregar: I'm not too familiar with the subject matter, so I can't get too into the specifics, but here's what I do know:
  1. You should always explain why you're removing or changing things using an edit summary.
  2. We go based on verifiability with reliable and published sources.
  3. Wikipedia isn't the place to right great wrongs.
