Hello, I'm Theroadislong. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 14:20, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
Hello, Boogeymanklan1. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. 199.208.172.35 (talk) 14:34, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
I’m confused
[edit]Im just trying to get my artist and label on Wikipedia I didn’t realize I was editing someone else info why do they allow it ? So it wasn’t on purpose but I’m really confused on trying to get on Wikipedia what am I supposed to do I’m so lost Boogeymanklan1 (talk) 13:50, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
- Almost anyone can edit almost any article on Wikipedia - that's how the site works. However, we do have rules about who or what gets an article on Wikipedia; they must be notable by the standards we've set out. Anyone or anything just getting off the ground is probably not going to meet those standards. Also, we have a lot of rules about editing things with which you have a conflict of interest. I'll add the standard template above.
- Keep making music. Once you start getting noticed by reviewers in the mainstream press, it will be time to pursue a Wikipedia article. Also, be careful about paying bunches of money to folks who may contact you offering to write an article - many people end up getting scammed. 199.208.172.35 (talk) 14:33, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of User:Boogeymanklan1/sandbox
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. A tag has been placed on User:Boogeymanklan1/sandbox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 14:39, 3 October 2022 (UTC)

- That's not the purpose of Wikipedia, also that means you have a clear WP:COI. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 14:44, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
- If you change your mind, then per WP:PAID, you will need to declare on your User page that you are being paid to attempt to create an article about a client. David notMD (talk) 15:09, 3 October 2022 (UTC)

[edit]You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:
- Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page.
