Hello, thanks for your message. I'm afraid I couldn't find any messages for me at that link. Good work on looking for sources though, if some of them are added inline to the article, its notability may well be much clearer. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 11:25, 3 April 2013 (UTC)
PROD Contested
[edit]I contested the PROD on Sanco S.A. because it has almost no promoting language. Feel free to send it to AfD. Revolution1221 (talk · email · contributions) 19:51, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for letting me know, I agree about the language. I have taken it to AfD. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 16:18, 12 April 2013 (UTC)
In an amazing example of boredom and randomly browsing Wikipedia, I leafed through the history pages of this song's article. I have restored it from the disamb page that it had been, and actually think there's a decent start to an article on this song.
You are, of course, free to disagree... and the page may be redirected again if need be. I just wanted to let you know about it, so that you can check it out if you feel like it. I really didn't contribute anything other than the synthesis of several versions of the article that never got together because ClueBot and others reverted some really good edits.
I really appreciate the fact that rather than deleting the page, you redirected it... allowing someone like me to come by later on and restore the page based on its prior history. (I understand why we would want to delete attack pages and their histories, likewise patent nonsense and most other WP:SPEEDY junk... I just wish we could, as a community, allow good-but-nonnotable or good-but-will-never-be-more-than-a-stub pages to be deleted without history being hidden from view as well.) Jsharpminor (talk) 06:30, 8 April 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for your nice message and for your hard work on this page. I agree about the history. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 16:19, 12 April 2013 (UTC)

John Prophet, various
[edit]Hi Boleyn, in this edit you've created a redlinked JP who died 1416, but the source seems to suggest 1399 ... and on looking further isn't for a London MP. Should the source be http://www.historyofparliamentonline.org/volume/1386-1421/member/prophet-john-ii-1416 ? (I came across this while stub-sorting John Prophet, looked at the dab page for some reason!) PamD 22:40, 17 April 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of William Leveson/recycle
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on William Leveson/recycle requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. War (talk) 07:42, 18 April 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Hi - since you were active in a previous AfD discussion, I thought you might want to know that Cayucas has been relisted, since there are now additional references that arguably establish notability. Floatjon (talk) 20:44, 30 April 2013 (UTC)
Hi Anne Can you create a dab page for the various baronets?♦ Dr. ☠ Blofeld 15:29, 5 May 2013 (UTC)
Nice to hear from you. I've made the above a redirect to the Thomas Acland dab, and added various redirects to ensure it's easily found - that should prevent any confusion. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 16:54, 5 May 2013 (UTC)
Quick question
[edit]Hi "Anne" :-) Thank you for your help with the James Cross (disambiguation) page! My question has to do with my confusion in regards to "surname" and "family name". In my gnominess I came across the doc page for {{Surname}}, which reads:
Do not use this template on disambiguation pages that contain a list of people by family name. Instead categorize the disambiguation page by including the surname parameter with the {{Disambiguation}} template. For example, {{Disambiguation|surname}}. This will include the disambiguation page in Category:Surnames.
For me, the two types of names are generally synonymous, with the exception of people who have received, for example, the given name of one of their ancestors. I have heard that referred to as a "family name", as well, and I saw no reference to that practice in the Family name (or the Surname) article.
I don't mean to burden you, but perhaps in your journeys that involve disambiguationism you have come across a clear, concise "Wikipedia" discernment of the two terms, which would help to clarify for me what is written on the {{Surname}} doc page? Thank you in advance for any and all enlightenment! – PAINE ELLSWORTH CLIMAX! 21:18, 5 May 2013 (UTC)
Hello, Paine. There is definitely confusion around surnames, even no real consensus on whether they are articles or disambiguation pages. My reading of the above is using family name and surname to mean the same thing, but emphasising that if it is a disambiguation page that includes a list of people by surname, e.g. Bronte, then it should be categorised first as a disambiguation page, with surname as the second category. I think this is because surnames are (mostly) seen as articles, which should really have some information on the surname's history and a reference or two, e.g. Anders. I agree that what you've copied above could be construed differently though. In English surname and family name are synonymous, but not for many other countries and languages. There is no Wikiproject for surname pages, no real guidelines and no editors I know of who have made surname pages their speciality. I've thought about looking into creating a Wikiproject before, but I thought it might be stirring a potential hornet's nest. It might be worth thinking about again though. Thanks for your message, and please send me messages if you have further queries. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 19:50, 11 May 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you for that, Boleyn! The part that seems most significant is that a surname page would be a list of people with the same surname that has a Lede that explains the surname by history, and so forth. That's a great start! I understand it better now. Thank you again! – PAINE ELLSWORTH CLIMAX! 18:20, 13 May 2013 (UTC)
John Hendersons
[edit]Hi. Got your message. I just noticed however that there are two entries for a politician named John Henderson (both 1917-1994):
- John E. Henderson (1917–1994), American politician
- John M. Henderson (1917–1994), Texas state senator 1913–1919
How could a guy who lived from 1917 to 1994 have served in office from 1913-1919?? Just curious. Yours, Quis separabit? 20:07, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
Sorry, rms, I didn.t send you a message and I'm not sure what the above relates to. That may be something to do with the new notifications system. It looks like the second set of years are an error in the above, but I don't think they are something I added. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 19:38, 11 May 2013 (UTC)
- OK, now that we seem to be on the same page (literally), I just want to point out that I am unable to confirm the existence of any John M. Henderson, state senator of Texas. I checked the Political Graveyard site and there are numerous John Hendersons as might be expected but no John M. Henderson of Texas of any party. (There is a Johnny Henderson, minor political figure from Texas but not a state senator). The following are the John Hendersons listed. I apologize if this is TMI but I think the John M. Henderson entry (given that it has the exact same years of birth/death, 1917-1994, as the preceding entry on the disambiguation page) is an apparent conflation/mistake and should be rv again as I cannot confirm this individual's existence. I don't know if any of the other Hendersons below who are not listed on the disambiguation page deserve mention, which is why I am listing them below. Again sorry of it's too much info.

Yours, Quis separabit? 21:04, 12 May 2013 (UTC)
- Update: I rv the entry for "John M. Henderson (1917–1994), Texas state senator 1913–1919" as non-existent individual (possible conflation, unlikely vandalism) but also impossible details, to wit: born 1917, died 1994, but served from 1913-1919?? Please review before rv again. Thanks. Quis separabit? 16:21, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
- I check the Texas Legislative Reference Service and there was a John M. Henderson 1868-1947 who served in both houses of the Texas Legislature. He served in the Texas House 1907-1909 and the Texas Senate 1915-1919, I will start an article- thanksRFD (talk) 16:50, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
- OK I will readd the name to the disambiguation page with the correct years of birth/death. I do not know why the name was not at the Political Gravesite website. Quis separabit? 16:55, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
- Okay the Political Graveyard website is incomplete and the creator of the website has admitted this. I need to check out the various state legislative websites for information about state legislators. State historical societies and state bar associations proceedings are also checked. State legislative manuals are another source. Many thanks=RFD (talk) 17:19, 14 May 2013 (UTC)

Mary Cameron disambiguation
[edit]Hi, I saw you removed my addition of the David Cameron link on the Mary Cameron disambiguation page. Before I created the disambiguation page early this week, an entry of Mary Cameron redirected you immediately to the David Cameron page. I obviously wanted to change that and created the disambiguation page. I added the David Cameron link to the page to get a little closer to what the other individual was intending. With your revision, you cannot get to David Cameron's page directly. I was just trying to respect what the other individual had done. It wasn't a matter of references, but of links. Dlsnider (talk) 15:43, 10 May 2013 (UTC)dlsnider
Hello. I created the blue link Mary Cameron (mother of David Cameron), which takes users to the article Family of David Cameron, which seems the best option for people looking for information on her, rather than on her son. You wouldn't have references on disambiguation pages, but it is meant to be one link per line on dabs (see WP:DDD and MOS:D.) However, if you think it's a case of WP:IAR, then by all means add it and put your reasons on the Talk page. Thanks for your work on this page. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 16:03, 10 May 2013 (UTC)

No need to apologise for looking into it even further - you've done some great work examining this. Boleyn (talk) 08:12, 28 May 2013 (UTC)
It was hardly necessary to add the incoming links template, as I was clearly still working on the page (that's what the template says) and the vast majority are from one (ridiculous!) template of New Hampshire House of Reps, which I have already amended. I'm just this moment about to fix the remaining two links. It might have been courteous to hold off while I finished my project. I was waiting to be sure about the previously speedied page, and the missing academic, before deciding whether there was a primary topic. That's why I put the banner up. PamD 16:05, 19 May 2013 (UTC)
It may have been a mistake, but there was no need to send a message like this, which I feel lacks courtesy. Editors sometimes make mistakes when trying to improve pages. Boleyn (talk) 16:08, 19 May 2013 (UTC)

I don't know if you remember sending me the same message a month or so ago? I asked if there were guidelines that this should be the case, and your response indicated that there wasn't. For that reason, if an article title redirects to a band's page, but the band's page does not contain detailed info on the article, I will continue to remove categories as these will waste people's time. Of course, if you disagree, you are welcome to revert my edits. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 08:05, 28 May 2013 (UTC)

Samuel Hawkes (disambiguation)
[edit]Regarding Samuel Hawkes (disambiguation) your cited guideline does not reflect disambiguation pages for people, but for primary topics, where the other items would be subsets of that topic. In this case, The other Samuel Hawkes are not subsets of discussions of the first Samuel Hawkes. That's my interpretation anyway.
There are many disambiguation pages that just enumerate the list of occurrences of the name. See Robert Jones, and George Abbey (disambiguation). I know that there are other examples where people have created disambig pages like your edits, but it always seem strange to me - they are all "Samuel Hawkes" or "Robert Jones", etc.
The only difference was timing: what was the first article created for the name.--CaroleHenson (talk) 20:31, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
- I added this to Category talk:Human name disambiguation pages#Question about formatting of the disambig pages for peoples names.
- By the way, I just realized you were one of the first people I chatted with on Wikipedia when writing a few historic biographies / other articles. Hi, again!--CaroleHenson (talk) 21:47, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker): There is a clear example at Wikipedia:MOSDAB#Specific_entry_types (the "John Adams" example under "People") to illustrate the scenario where there is a person who is the primary topic for a name. PamD 23:12, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
- That's helpful (the example from PamD) because it's guidelines specific to people - and it's a scenario where when someone hears the name they would automatically think of the president. In that case, where the person is a notable, historic figure, that format makes sense to me.--CaroleHenson (talk) 23:51, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for the better link to guidelines, Pam. I'm glad it's clear to you now, Carole. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 18:23, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
Gordon Bell
[edit]Why have you removed the place holder I had established for the Gordon Bell? HJKeats (talk) 18:15, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
Hello, HJKeats. I gave the reason in the edit summary. If you are in the process of making it an article, or making it meet MOS:DABRL, then by all means rv my edit. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 18:18, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
The policy you cite allows for an instance such as the one I have here where a biography of a national individual exits on DoCB which will be created in due course. Why would you not even bother to ask before removal. I dislike your heavy-handed approach to reverse my addition without so much as courtesy to a fellow Wikipedian. HJKeats (talk) 18:25, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
No, MOS:DABRL does not allow for that (which was added after my edit, anyway). It has to be linked in an article, not a non-article page. It's a shame you chose to take offence and send me aggressive messages. Boleyn (talk) 18:29, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
Battle of the Blues)
[edit]Hi, Thanks for your input on disamb Battle of the Blues, how can I proceed. Shall I remove the deletion proposal or wait for an admin to remove it? Furthermore, the user Wo2gana, seems to be dead set on linking the articles in the disamb page to it. I feel that is not correct, but should be linked if suitable in some other way. Could you pls have a look at this and advice. Thank you, Cossde (talk) 13:20, 15 June 2013 (UTC)
Hello, thanks for your message. As no one else voted 'delete', I think it's fine to ignore all rules and close it yourself, or you could just add a nomination withdrawn comment at the bottom of the discussion. I've done that with lots of pages I'd nominated for AfD, and then withdrawn after more information came to light. As for linking to a dab, it's highly discouraged, and I can't see a reason to ignore all rules here. However, you really want to avoid an edit war, so I would raise it at the talk page of WP:Disambiguation, then other people can have their say and a consensus can be reached - less frustrating for you! Gerald mac Murchadha Caomhánach
[edit]Thank you for noticing the page I created on this obscure Irish sub-King. Unfortunately, there is little additional information about him other than that which I have provided. On the upside, it does provide a link to the larger 'List of Leinster Kings'. If there is anything else I find I will go back and add it to this page. Sorry for mistakes, I am new at this :)

The article Plan of Study for Girls has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Looks like very minor topic, notability queried in October and no response.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. PatGallacher (talk) 23:01, 19 February 2021 (UTC)

hiya, thanks for your message about notability. yes it's not got obvious notability. i'm busy at work so might not have time to source properly, but hopefully someone will or it's fair enough to get deleted. hope all good with editing and life, Tom B (talk) 13:39, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks, user:Tpbradbury, I think there may be enough sources, it maybe just needs some time and work at some point. All the best, Boleyn (talk) 11:29, 25 March 2021 (UTC)
Re Helen of Tottenham, I'm not a fan of drive-by tagging myself, but this was a very short article with only one reference, I recognise that increasing the number of references increases the likelihood of notability. PatGallacher (talk) 17:27, 22 March 2021 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Bixton
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Bixton requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a disambiguation page which either
- disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic);
- disambiguates zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
- is an orphaned redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" that does not target a disambiguation page or page that has a disambiguation-like function.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Gjs238 (talk) 02:25, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
Did you add COI Tag due to my username or someone else?. If mine then explain howSonofstar (talk) 19:24, 17 April 2021 (UTC)
- Hello, user:Sonofstar, how are you? You will generally find people respond more politely if you address them more politely, with please and thank you rather than commands. I don't know why you would think this was aimed at you. The creator of the HealthOne Colorado article was user:H1 Hospitals and another collaborator was user:HealthONECares. - Pardon me. Trust me I missed to type please but I used it in my minds. I thought it was for me because I was the one trying to add sources and improving this page then all sudden I saw COI Tag, so just thought it was for me. Sonofstar (talk) 11:30, 18 April 2021 (UTC)

Regression Therapy article for possible deletion
I’m sorry but its to time consuming to understand the rules of what can be included and handle alterations by others lacking the knowledge and experience to make a meaningful entry. I am one of the worlds authorities on regression therapy having worked in this area for 25 years and trained over 500 regression therapists and personally know many of the medical doctors using regression therapy and the research being conducted. What I need is someone perhaps yourself that can adapt the raw information I can provide in a way suitable for Wikipedia.
If you think this arrangement will not work please delete the article
Ian Lawton article for possible deletion
I’ve know and worked with Ian for over 15 tears and in my view is one of the leading authors in providing research based books about a range of spiritual matters. I’m happy to add more information if you let me know what is needed, otherwise it may be best to delete the article.
About correspondence can you do this through my normal email because you will get a speedy response its regressionacademy@gmail.com
Thanks for reading this and considering my comments

Article Deletion rewrite proposal for VISIONx (follow up)
[edit]Hello, I'm just following up on the VISIONx page that was proposed for deletion (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Visionx). I have a 3rd-party, rewritten article ready to publish (preview at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1RE95BWDv9-hm-NqkALBXy6-4hj4ei6iX1XU6T7QVli4/edit), but I'd love some feedback on if it meets guidelines to resolve the issues proposing the original content for deletion. Do you have any suggestions for how I should proceed with this? Can I publish the content myself? Thanks in advance! Bcvisi2009 (talk) 17:24, 3 August 2021 (UTC)
James FitzGerald, 13th Earl of Desmond
[edit]Dear Boleyn. Thank you very much for having created the article James FitzGerald, 13th Earl of Desmond on 16 August 2011. At that date you started the article by writing a relatively longish text. Some aspects are quite detailed for example those concerning the FitzGerald castle at Lough Gur. Unluckily you did not add references at that time. Of course it would certainly be best if you could add these citations yourself, but you might not have the time. If that is so, could you please point me into the right direction? With many thanks and best regards, Johannes Schade (talk) 18:13, 4 August 2021 (UTC)
- Hi, user:Johnannes Schade, thanks for looking at this. The source is there in my original text: 'This article incorporates text from a publication now in the public domain: "Fitzgerald, James Fitzjohn". Dictionary of National Biography. London: Smith, Elder & Co. 1885–1900.' It was entirely taken from that, which is out of copyright. Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 19:03, 4 August 2021 (UTC)
- Dear Boleyn. Thanks for your fast reaction. I somehow had not seen the attribution. With many thanks and best regards, Johannes Schade (talk)
- Easy not to, and not the way I would tend to do things now. That edition of DNB isn't the most up-to-date. Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 10:32, 5 August 2021 (UTC)
