Some bubble tea for you!

Your recent edits
[edit]Hi Bobdole2021. I see you've been adding some material to some Bible verse articles! I've made some alterations to some of the edits. (1). You should not put your citation in the header - it messes up the indexing. (2). You can re-use a citation by naming it, which allows you to place the citation after each quote. (3). Quotations get quotation marks. (4). I added a {{PD-notice}}
template as part of the citation. Here's an example of what I did: Diff of Matthew 4:2. Best, — Diannaa (talk) 22:33, 20 February 2021 (UTC)
Hi Diannaa, thanks for the advise, and for changing the pages. I'll use those as templates for the next ones. Best, Bobdole2021

[edit]To see these redirects becoming pages. Hope the project works out well. All the best: Rich Farmbrough 16:07, 25 February 2021 (UTC).
- Thanks for the positive feedback. There are a lot of verses in the New Testament, but I'll try to at least make a dent. Bobdole2021 (talk) 21:41, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
John articles
[edit]Hi Bobdole2021 and thank you for the articles which I encountered on New Page Review this morning, I was just wondering were you intending to make a template "John" (I had removed it from John 1:7) as the template didn't exist (if you wish to re-instate it). I will leave it in place if I come across it in future reviews. Best wishes JW 1961 Talk 11:58, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
- Joseywales1961, Yes that was a mistake, thank you for noticing. Bobdole2021 (talk) 12:29, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
- Bobdole2021, Thanks, a lot of effort must have went in there, nice articles! JW 1961 Talk 14:47, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
- Joseywales1961, Thanks, it does take some work, but it's interesting to look into these passages. Although with roughly 8,000 verses in the New Testatment alone, I'll probably give up before too long. Bobdole2021 (talk) 17:35, 1 March 2021 (UTC)

Bible Hub External Links
[edit]Hi - I've just come across some of your new articles about Bible verses. I see that you are including a link to biblehub.com in all of them - are you familiar with our guidance on external links at WP:EL? I'd have thought that a link like that would be better included at the bottom of the article, in a dedicated 'External links' section, rather than in the body of the text - would you be averse to making that change? Best GirthSummit (blether) 13:27, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
- Girth Summit, yes that makes sense, I'll move them down to their own section. Bobdole2021 (talk) 13:42, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
Red link categories
[edit]Hello, Bobdole2021,
Please do not add nonexistent, red link categories to articles. See WP:REDNO for details. If you have questions, please bring them to the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 19:30, 13 April 2021 (UTC)
Moving pages
[edit]Hey, I see you requested your page about Matthew to be deleted because of a mistake in the title.
In the future, you can rename articles using the 'more' section at the top of the article and choosing 'Move', this will save you the hassle. Kadzi (talk) 14:19, 28 April 2021 (UTC)
- Dr._Kadzi, Thanks for the tip, that does sound more sensible. Bobdole2021 (talk) 16:20, 28 April 2021 (UTC)

- The link seemed to fit the content. I don't mind it being deleted, but what was wrong with it? Bobdole2021 (talk)
- Per MOS:SEEALSO, wrong place since it's not a WP-article, but could fit in a "Further reading" section. I haven't read it so I don't know. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 10:42, 2 March 2022 (UTC)
- Oh right, yes it's Wikisource article. OK, I'll try putting it in a "Further Reading" section.

Speedy deletion nomination of Matthew 15:29-31
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Matthew 15:29-31 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-religion/3911434/posts, https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-religion/4017205/posts, and https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-religion/3710699/posts. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. DIVINE 📪 18:52, 19 June 2022 (UTC)
Hello, Bobdole2021
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username CollectiveSolidarity, and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, Christ's Discourse with Nicodemus, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.
If you wish to contest the deletion:
- Edit the page
- Remove the text that looks like this:
{{proposed deletion/dated...}}
- Click the button.
If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|CollectiveSolidarity}}
. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

Copyright
[edit]Greetings! Rather than copy-pasting verbatim quotes of sources into the articles, we'd prefer that you paraphrase, summarize, and write in your own words what the scholars are commenting on. Thanks! Elizium23 (talk) 01:50, 25 July 2022 (UTC)
- I was wondering about that. I know my paraphrase won't be as good as the original material, but yes I think that's the norm with Wikipedia. My quotes were getting way too long.
- In terms of paraphrasing the Bible... I guess it depends on the length of the passage. Bobdole2021 (talk) 06:24, 25 July 2022 (UTC)
- There is no need to include long, verbatim quotes of Scripture, that is what Wikisource is for. Elizium23 (talk) 06:38, 25 July 2022 (UTC)
Attribution for public domain material
[edit]I have added a {{PD-notice}} template to the Lapide footnote at Coin in the fish's mouth; since the text is not being presented as a quote, that template should be used to provide attribution for the public domain source text since there is decent overlap between the source and the text in that section. Please let me know if you have any questions about using this template going forward. Thanks, DanCherek (talk) 21:36, 30 July 2022 (UTC)
- I think that makes sense. I'll use the PD-notice for future attributions. Bobdole2021 (talk) 22:05, 30 July 2022 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for August 31
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Doctrine, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Orthodox Church. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:20, 31 August 2022 (UTC)
