Peiper page "reorganize"

hello. you placed a request or template on Allan Peiper wiki page - requesting or suggesting a page reorganisation. Can you be specific please? I have been working on a summary or raca wins - and these are chronological (35 in total) and as I've verified the details and refs, I've been adding them today.

If, you're referring to other elements - again, I've placed questions and discussed other elements of the layout and what can be included, and what is avoided. I did ask of the option of adding video film links, where applicable. Some other wiki editor suggested if the clips were of 5 minutes or less, and were "straight to the point" of the connection, relevant to the detail, then it might be worthwhile.

AP page is very much a work in progress - (some race details I've added, could and will likely lead to other cycling/race/cyclist wiki pages being updated, as there is much inaccurate detail online, elsewhere. PDM888 (talk) 14:57, 7 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

peiper revisions

hello i see you've removed a mass of detail, on allan peiper's page. It's a work in progress, and was being edited, before your conduct. I asked before commencing updating the page, what was expected and how far or innovative, a wiki bio profile page, could be, relative to a sports person. I intended to add further details and additional elements, to see how they were received and discuss or exchange views. I checked several of your own cycling pages, that you've created - minimal detail, in my opinion.

Of course wiki is not a personal page, or a soapbox, but strewth, before throwing the metaphorical grenade in the living room, at least discuss. PDM888 (talk) 15:31, 9 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry but you can't just list all of his results. I know it's taken you a lot of time to do, but it's just not acceptable for Wikipedia. Only a list of top-ten results is allowed. There are guidelines that we all follow, and sooner you understand them the better. See: Wikipedia:WikiProject Cycling/Standard cyclist biography example. Please don't judge my work off just my article creations. A good example of a cyclist bio that I've done the majority of work on is Tom Simpson. It's a featured article, meaning it's been accessed to be "considered to be some of the best articles Wikipedia has to offer". BaldBoris If, the conduct and willingness of established wikipedia editors, is as I've encountered, then to just act, rather than discuss, is somewhat irritating and/or confrontational. New people, always start somewhere. I'm clearly, no exception to that. Wiki bullying, as I've encountered, is just childish. The point of slowly adding results from the classics - was simply they add a depth of the rider over a season. Yes, it could be argued (depends who's actually asked) that new ideas (its mentioned in wiki guidelines) are welcome. You, may dismiss the comments, in reply, as sour grapes or childish, as would be your choice. I encountered "edit wars" from accomplished wikipedia people, who clearly wield far too much power, relative to their polite communication skills, or lack thereof. regards. ArbCom 2018 election voter message

Hello, BaldBoris. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
