Feedback on Behavioral Approach to Systems Theory and Control
Dear Avs5221, thank you for reviewing The Behavioral Approach to Systems Theory and Control.
Can you please let me know the reasons for rejection? (Do you need more references to prove the importance of the topic, or is it the way the article is written that is not acceptable?)
Do you have any recommendations for revision? Is a revision and resubmission possible?

Shell Beach (band) submission
Hi! Thanks for reviewing the submission for this article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Shell_Beach_(band) I have added more references and took a careful look at WP:MUSIC criteria for notability. I think this article shows notability of the band with the references in the article regarding at least: - criteria #11: reference #11 & #12 are links to the two biggest music TV channels in Hungary showing this - criteria #6: the article has wikipedia links to members' previous bands which are notable in the "Biography" section - criteria #7: reference #9 talks about this in detail. the source is in hungarian. - criteria #1: reference links to different music related review and news sources throughout the article
Please consider accepting the article, I believe these references added do show what the guidelines of wikipedia are looking for. Shoud I resubmit the article for review? Shellbeachband (talk) 22:09, 19 December 2012 (UTC) Shellbeachband

Submission declined : Fix8(software)
Hello, thanks for your review. I understand that some of my references are not acceptable however I think one is. The reference ^5 is from an industry site (quantlabs) - and according to WP policy I believe is acceptable - please consider. The other references support some of the statements, ^1, ^2 and ^7. If I remove ^2, ^3, ^4, is that more acceptable? regards Ian.

I have added an alternative reference and removed the blog/reddit refs. The quantlabs reference is a short entry written by the industry authors at quantlabs - who are respected and recognised within the HFT/finance community - this is how I found about about fix8. afc speedy
As reviewing administrator, I do not consider that Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Mark Haim- choreographer is a BLP violation susceptible to speedy deletion. Only the BLP violations that fall within the general criteria at WP:CSD can be so deleted, and I do not see that this page was intended to abuse the subject, or that it contains negative or contentious unsourced information. We do not remove BLPs for merely being unsourced via speedy, even in mainspace. The procedure there is WP:BLPPROD, which removes them in 10 days if at least one reliable source is not added--and that does not apply to anything other than mainspace articles.
The relevant problems with this article are first and most important, whether it is a copyvio, probably from the users web site; second, whether it is too promotional at least in its current form, and third, whether it meets WP:CREATIVE. , My guess is that it's a copyvio--go check that first. Article on Autosomal DNA in South Asian populations
You obviously haven't read the article. And I don't understand what you mean by saying that the article reads like an essay without verifiable sources, especially since 90% of it consists of quotations from easily verifiable sources rather than personal opinion (listed below in the reference section). Can you please tell me which portions of it offended you so I can re-submit it please? Request your input
Hi Avs
- I draw your attention to AfD Rev. Samuel Gilbert Scott, which seems to have been created by Andy Mabbett immediately after you declined it at AfC. I find this odd, especially since I would have declined it immediately for the same reasons you did.
- Also, see User_talk:Romariem#Eric_Brooke_Dunlop where, rather than going straight to AfD regarding Eric_Brooke_Dunlop, I asked the author whether there was perhaps more notability than was apparent in the article. Andy responded on the author's talk page, but not helpfully.
I will ask Andy himself why he is doing this - nicely, of course! Regards, David_FLXD (Talk) 04:49, 28 December 2012 (UTC)
questions about an article
Dear Avs5221, the article I had created (Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Eduardo Sarmiento) was deleted due to copyright infringement which I do not see the reason for. All content was verified for copyright and the sources listed. I intend to go with the article and did not save a copy of it, it is not deleted, is there a way I can access it as a draft as to no have to rebuild it from scratch? Would you be so kind as to point out the copyright infringement which led to deletion? Thank you. Thank you for assessing my article on the MWCTA. This is my first attempt so I am trying to understand where the issues are. I have re-edited the article and removed the introduction as the existing Wiki WCTU page covers this. I have copied the style the WCTU article to try and get this right. I have also removed the biography on Herbert Philips which I will submit as a separate page in due course. If the edit fails again any advice however brief would be invaluable if I am ever to get this published. Mike McCulloch (talk) 13:14, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

Apptegic Article
Good morning,
I'm working on getting the Apptegic Wikipedia page up to standards and I'm curious why you placed the notability tag on the draft. I sited 3 independent sources for the article and it's similar in description and length to other startup pages such as Bulktix.com, cheek'd and campustours. Are there some specific parts you'd suggest I can change or add to the article to make it better?
Cheers,

Hello and happy new year!
I would like to ask you why my article is not acceptable. I am asking you because its my assignment for the University and I do not want to fail. My resources are Greek webpages. Why you think are unreliable. It is a Greek custom from Greek Macedonia and from Thessalia . I am from Thessalia and I know that is right.

Article for Creation: I Guess I'm Floating
In response to the rejection of the above article for its lack of reliable sources, I have added references from The New York Times (an article reviewing bands hosted by the website at their annual SXSW concert), the BBC (also covering the blog's showcase), The Phoenix (same), The Deli (discussing the creation of the blog's record label), and a mention of their nomination for a Bloggie award (the longest running weblog awards).
I've also added the blog's connection with Flying Dog brewery, who was a co-sponsor of the blog's Floating Fest at SXSW for a number of years, and included an article from The Full Pint, a beer aficionado website, announcing the partnership.
I will also point out that the original submission included references from Wired Magazine (who published an article about the blog's creation of a record label), Techcrunch (who pointed out the blog as a notable inclusion to exfm's Tastemaker section), and The NY Daily News (who highlighted the blog in an article about notable MP3 blogs, and whose author deemed the blog his "personal favorite").
As I understand it, there's a fine balance when showing objective notability. Attendees of SXSW will know the blog and its concerts, which consistently have had lines out the door during the two years I attended it. And while that's clearly subjective, there's still a relatively large amount of objective reference material from several well known sources, including perhaps the most important, well known source of all: The New York Times.
If this isn't enough to demonstrate the site's notability, please explain why.

Michael Falzon
Can you be a little more specific about what I have done wrong? As far as I was aware, it was referenced properly. I don't know what I need to change
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Michael_Falzon_(actor) — Preceding unsigned comment added by I hate thinking of names (talk • contribs) 03:15, 9 January 2013 (UTC)
- Verifiable may have been wrong. There are a number of points that go unreferenced, but honestly I'm more concerned by his notability. Read over WP:NACTOR and make sure he meets the notability guidelines. Also, please replace all instances of "Michael" with "Falzon." We prefer to say "Falzon starred in XXXXX" rather than "Michael was a star in XXXXX". avs5221(talk|contrib) 03:22, 9 January 2013 (UTC)
I can change his name pretty easily, but I am not sure how any Australian musical theatre actor meets "notable" any more than he does. He was the first Galileo Figaro outside the UK, he was the first to be directed by Ben Elton. He originated the role of Stacee Jaxx in Australia. He has been in every version of Jeff Waynes Arena production of the War of the Worlds since joining the cast for the second tour (and is I believe the only cast member to be asked back that often.) - And thats not his first Arena tour. These are pretty major roles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by I hate thinking of names (talk • contribs) 03:37, 9 January 2013 (UTC)

Twinkle error
I am struggling to understand what happened here. It looks like your edit mangled the page so badly that there were no references left and then simultaneously tagged the page as having no edits. I am unfamiliar with the operation of Twinkle, but either you made a big mistake in using it somehow (in which case please be more careful in the future, the person who wrote the article was a little confused as to what happened) or there's a bug in Twinkle (in which case please report it to the developers so they can fix it, because it looks like a pretty big one). --(ʞɿɐʇ) ɐuɐʞsǝp 13:46, 9 January 2013 (UTC)

My Votacall Page submission
Hi,
I appreciate you taking the time to review my page and make edits. I am working on a college project for Endicott College in Beverly, MA. My assighnment is to make several telecommunication pages on wikipedia in reference to hosted VoIP. Do you have any suggestions to me as to how to make this page better and make it able to be approved? I worked hard on it to obtain the secondary sources. This company is up and coming and my research has showed they increase revenue every quarter since VoIP was adopted. There is a ShoreTel wikipedia page and they are the direct competitor of Votacall, basically being a similar company. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Charbroiler
Avs5221, Regarding the recent decline in the submission of this article I must admit both confusion and frustration. The article is only 1800 words, has 12 verifiable web citations, 8 additional and verifiable sources, and having read the 'What Wikipedia is not' section very thoroughly, cannot understand how this submission does not meet the requirements for article generation. Two other reviewers have indicated previously that the changes that I've made would be sufficient, and the changes recommended have been followed diligently.
Most importantly, I feel strongly that this article subscribes exceedingly well to the stipulations of What Wikipedia IS(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:What_Wikipedia_is), which is to say, a thorough and well thought out encyclopedic summary of the form, function and operation of commonly used cooking equipment.
I respectfully request a re-review of the article with this in mind.

My Damian Barr page
Hello Avs5221,
Thank you for taking the time to review my article. I am obviously disappointed it was declined, but would like to focus on how to improve it. It was not my intention to make it look like an advert rather than a neutral description of a person
One of the suggestions in your response was about my sources. As I am new to Wikipedia, I wasn't sure how many I would need to use to show a broad range from various credible sources talking about Damian Barr. Is what I have not enough, do I need to produce more, or is it more about quality than quantity? I made sure to try and use sites that were respectable like broadsheet newspapers and national magazines. Would you require more references like this?
Would the text be OK to be re-edited throughout to create a more neutral, encyclopaedic tone rather than a total rewrite?
Thank you in advance for your help so that I can make this page work.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. New deal for page patrollers
Hi Avs5221,
In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.
Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.
Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:28, 13 November 2016 (UTC)

Select Survey Invite
I'm working on a study of political motivations and how they affect editing. I'd like to ask you to take a survey. The survey should take no more than 1-2 minutes. Your survey responses will be kept private. Our project is documented at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Research:Wikipedia_%2B_Politics.
Your survey Link: https://uchicago.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9S3JByWf57fXEkR?Q_DL=56np5HpEZWkMlr7_9S3JByWf57fXEkR_MLRP_0ofl5n0kSy64eAR&Q_CHL=gl
I am asking you to participate in this study because you are a frequent editor of pages on Wikipedia that are of political interest. We would like to learn about your experiences in dealing with editors of different political orientations.
Sincere thanks for your help! Porteclefs (talk) 16:12, 20 April 2018 (UTC)

Edit suggestion for Ed_Dante
Hi, I noted you created the Ed Dante page.
I work with Dave Tomar. I thought you might want to know about his current role and current writings.

I would have left this on the :talk page, but I didn’t want to seem I was promoting my employer in any way.
