AfD nomination of Sydney Harbour New Year's Eve Fireworks 2008–09

[edit]

I have nominated Sydney Harbour New Year's Eve Fireworks 2008–09, an article you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sydney Harbour New Year's Eve Fireworks 2008–09. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Hi Aussieman, I liked the idea of adding the birth_name, but there are major downsides as well. I tried to resolve the biggest one - a code message in almost every criminal box throughout Wikipedia - but to no avail. Then rolled back your edit as well. Perhaps you can redo while resolving the issues it creates. The field would definitely improve if both existent and different from the subject name! Best regards, gidonb (talk) 20:44, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate that you are interested in working on an infobox, but please don't implement the use of a new template you've created without first proposing such usage on the WikiProject connected with its use. There has been no discussion whatsoever at WT:CRIME regarding the infobox you inserted here nor any project consensus regarding adopting such for the project. Also, please note that flagicons aren't used in biographies to indicate nationality. The only thing at this point that WP:CRIME has requested, for endless futile months now, has been correction to project banners that do not properly use listas= parameters. Thank you. Nomination for speedy deletion of Template:Infobox Rugby League Four Nations

[edit]

Hi, I've nominated Template:Infobox Rugby League Four Nations for deletion as it has been replaced by Template:Infobox rugby league international tournament and no articles now link to the nominated template. The reason I have done this is that we had a new template for each tournament and it wasn't necessary. LunarLander // talk // 13:26, 16 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Round by Round votes

[edit]

Hi there, Back in 2007, before you were on wiki, the 2007 Brownlow Medal article was nominated for deletion and one of the main criticisms was the round by round listing of the votes. I know it takes a lot of work to wikify the tables, but I think that we should expand the other areas of the article, and remove the round by round voting - leave the lists to the newspapers/other sources. Cheers, The-Pope (talk) 11:25, 22 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

2009 GF article

[edit]

Hey Aussieman92, great work on the 2009 GF page! Thanks.Edelmand (talk) 00:28, 26 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there,

I noticed you edited the player infobox for the Tom Harley article. As per WikiProject AFL standards, please try to refrain from editing the infobox template that has been implemented into articles. The template has already been established and can be viewed at here. If you wish to update the statistics within the infobox, please make the edits accordingly through the template provided on the edit page. Regards, Boomtish (talk) 23:44, 22 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why no more Western?

[edit]

G'day, just noticed that you moved the Western Force page to Force (Super rugby team). Why? Their webpage still has Western Force all over it. Newspaper stories still refer to them as that. By the WP:COMMONNAME policy, they should remain at Western Force. Was there any other reason? The-Pope (talk) 13:22, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion at WP:AFL

[edit]

Hi Aussieman. We had a discussion here a couple of weeks ago regarding your new infobox. I apologise for not notifying then but would u be able to take a look at it please and maybe comment? A few of us aren't sure we should be including behinds and more specifically points in the infobox. Cheers. Jevansen (talk) 23:45, 4 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Anthem in AFLGameDetailed template

[edit]

Hi Aussieman,

I noticed that you recently added the ability to include the singer of the national anthem in the detailed AFL scorecard. Is this something you have a strong opinion on including. I personally think that the singer is only a minor player in the whole day and doesn't warrant much more than a note at the bottom of the scorecard. Would you object if I removed it? or would you like to ask for other opinions at the AFL Project page?

You are now a Reviewer

[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 04:57, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:Daniel Giansiracusa (Brisbane Lions v Western Bulldogs - 2008).jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Poor quality file that is orphaned and would have no obvious value in transferring to Commons

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
