Please note that you may have technically violated WP:3RR on 42 (number), although the edits appear to be vandalism. I suggest you add an editor note "rvv" or "reverting vandalism" at least once, to avoid possible confusion. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 15:47, 7 November 2019 (UTC)

Help with editing Social Mobility

Hello, I was wondering if you could review the Markers section of the Social Mobility article and give me any feedback. Also edit for grammar, misspelling, etc., Your help will be deeply appreciated. EliGamez (talk) 17:01, 11 November 2019 (UTC)

Hi EliGamez - sorry it took me some time to get around this.

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:10, 19 November 2019 (UTC)

MCS page

Hi Arjayay. Thanks for your corrections, although in one of them, you left a fragment and error. I replaced sentence you moved to footnote because it's the most important sentence in the causes section because it's a comment on consensus by a College of Physicians representative. What was your reason for removing it? I also wanted to ask why you removed fibro and CFS from see also? Increasingly research is linking these conditions and they have high rates of comorbidity.Leobenite (talk) 02:52, 25 November 2019 (UTC)Leobenite

Hi Leobenite thanks for your post. Having checked my edits in this one I simply removed an excess "the" - no fragment or error, in this one, I removed an EL in the body referring to to Linked-in, as non WP:RS, changed a second EL in the body to a Wikilink and changed a third EL in the body to a basic reference, because we never include ELs in the bodytext, In the final one. I removed duplicate ELs, and an EL already used in the body, we do not duplicate such links in the "See also" section. I cannot see that I moved any sentence to the footnotes, and, as already explained, we do not duplicate links in the "See also" section, nor do we pipe links to an article already listed. Best wishes - Arjayay (talk) 09:51, 25 November 2019 (UTC)
Cheers, Arjayay sounds like the moving of that section to a footnote was an accident then. Thanks for the explanation re conventions around ELs -- I still have a lot to learn. Leobenite

Please stop deleting important Iyengar list of people from page

Can you please stop deleting the important list of iyengars that I'm adding to the page? The list is missing some important personalities like Ramanuja, Vedanta Desikan, Actor Madhavan, Wrtiter Sujatha Rangarajan and Crazy Mohan among others. And I'm not adding random names to the list. The people I'm adding are important spiritual leaders and cinema professionals. Thanks --Jayv1991 (talk) 16:53, 25 November 2019 (UTC)

Jayv1991 as explained in my edit summaries, the people being added do not even mention being Iyengars in their articles, let alone include a reliable source to show that they are Iyengars, which is required before they can be added. If they are still alive, that source should be that they self-identify as being of that caste, Family, names, relatives and other links to being an Iyengar are NOT acceptable, Please do not add people without such a WP:reliable source, as they will be deleted, and please also stop using your account and different IPs to edit the article, thank you - Arjayay (talk) 17:00, 25 November 2019 (UTC)
Arjayay can you please clarify which article of theirs are you referring to? If anything, Manavala Mamunigal hasn't identified himself as an Iyengar and Kamal Haasan is an atheist. Please stop deleting such important personalities name from the list if you are not aware of them. --Jayv1991 (talk) 17:08, 25 November 2019 (UTC)

Danny Welbeck

Hi, any reason why you reverted my revert of an IP removing sourced info? Kosack (talk) 13:08, 26 November 2019 (UTC)

Hi Kosack I believed the IP was removing vandalism - I do not have a copy of that dead-tree publication, but "Nii Tackii" reads like "Nil Tackle" a derogatory comment - I can't see that name in any of the on-line sources such as the official FIFA team sheet - If I'm wrong, my apologies - Arjayay (talk) 13:15, 26 November 2019 (UTC)
There are reliable, live sources that support the name, [1], [2], [3]. I'm unsure why FIFA wouldn't have listed it but an IP simply posting "Wrong information" doesn't seem like cause to remove. Kosack (talk) 13:20, 26 November 2019 (UTC)

Reference not working

Hi, I want to tell you one thing that in Shamsheer Vayalil article reference number 31 is not working. I tried but I couldn't fix the issue. Please! fix that. Thanks (223.230.142.184 (talk) 03:24, 2 December 2019 (UTC))

  • One more thing in the same article Reference 1 needs an updation. I have provided link of updated reference (of Reference 1) on Talk:Shamsheer Vayalil. Please! also update the old reference with new one.

Thanks. (223.230.142.184 (talk) 03:32, 2 December 2019 (UTC))

Hello IP from Patna
The article is not, and never has been, protected, so you should be able to make these changes yourself. Reference 31 works for me, and the page hasn't been altered since 6 November, so I cannot see anything to "fix" - Arjayay (talk) 17:25, 2 December 2019 (UTC)
  • Oh I'm sorry I was not clear enough to explain the issue. If you look to "Award and Accolades" section you will find that the award which Shamsheer Vayalil got in 2018 i.e. ABLF outstanding business citizen award is linked with reference 31 in the article. But when we click on that reference a page opens, but in that page his award information is not present. I hope this time I'm clear enough to explain you the issue.

I have provided sources for my changes and you still revert them back. You do not own this site — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chrismouf (talkcontribs) 13:19, 7 December 2019 (UTC)

No, Chrismouf, I do not "own" the article, and neither do you, however, by consensus, we stick to the article's title.
If you want that changed, you need to start a discussion at the article's talk page. If, after a reasonable time for discussion, usually 7-10 days, that discussion agrees that the article should be renamed, that can then be done. - Arjayay (talk) 13:59, 7 December 2019 (UTC)

Royyal Dog (New Article)

Thanks for the feedback. My first submission, so just getting the feel for this. Any suggestions on the minimum number of citations to include? I did not see a guideline or I missed it in Help:Your first article. Gideonart (talk) 05:40, 6 December 2019 (UTC)

Gideonart - it is NOT the number of citations, it is the QUALITY of the citations, and the fact that they verify ALL the information in the article.
Two substantial articles, in reliable, independent sources, that cover everything in the article, could suffice.
20 articles, just mentioning the subject in passing, are not enough, whilst sources that re not independent, or reliable, should not be included at all.
Please see Wikipedia:The answer to life, the universe, and everything for the simple guide - Arjayay (talk) 15:00, 7 December 2019 (UTC)

Discretionary sanctions alert: pseudoscience and fringe science.

(Alerting all recent editors of our Multiple chemical sensitivity article.)

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in pseudoscience and fringe science. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Spengler

I'd like to ask why you reverted a change someone made to the page called "Spengler".

Hi Frankspencer590
Please put new posts at the bottom of the page, and please sign all posts on talk pages with 4 tildes ( ~~~~ ) which will add your signature and a timestamp.
As for Spengler the addition was unsourced, misplaced, trivia. As the page states "This page lists people with the surname Spengler". It is not the place for "a newer definition to the word", even with a reference from a reliable source as Wikipedia is not a dictionary.
Wikipedia has specific rules/guidelines on Neologisms, please see Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Words to watch#Neologisms and new compounds and Wikipedia:Wikipedia is not a dictionary#Neologisms for the reasons these are not allowed.

Hi AVP Amarthya Vardhan Patel KASHETTY have a look at User:Arjayay - I am just an ordinary editor, who spends most of my time cleaning up mistakes and trying to ensure that edits comply with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, like those that I pointed out to you.
Having been here over 12 years, I have made over 275,000 edits, and am one of the 100 most active English Wikipedians of all time, so I am fairly familiar with how Wikipedia works. As for who I am in real life:- gender, race, religion etc. etc. I never comment, as they are irrelevant to my editing, and should be irrelevant to all editors.

Following Spellcheck

Hello. I hope you don't take offense to this, but I am wondering if you've been following me around (so-to-say) and correcting my spelling mistakes. (Per the interaction tool) I do not at all mean to cast WP:ASPERSIONS, I'm just curious. Thanks, KidAd (talk) 21:10, 16 December 2019 (UTC)

Hi KidAd - in a word "No"
As stated at User:Arjayay "As a WikiGnome I cover all the Wikipedia:Lists of common misspellings/R and other misspellings as well" I have recently added duplicate words to my regular searches, and am starting to add "A > An" before vowels.
There are more than enough mistakes to correct without following someone around, and it is far, far, easier to search, find and correct the same mistake on multiple pages, than search for random mistakes; and I certainly don't bother looking to see who has made the error, unless there is a glaring pattern which goes on for several days.
If you look at my edit history, I clear the common "R" word errors, and common duplicate words, daily; the less common weekly, and the rarer ones monthly. Looking at the interactions, which are quite interesting, "the the" seems to be the most common, which I clear daily, hence the relatively short gaps between you making some of those errors and my correction of them.
I am intrigued how many of these errors are made daily, so perhaps you could answer me a few questions?
I have assumed that most duplicate words are errors made at the end of a line, and the beginning of the next, are you using a mobile phone or another device with very short lines?
Have you turned the spell/grammar check off? or does your device not have such a feature?
Best wishes - Arjayay (talk) 10:41, 17 December 2019 (UTC)
@Arjayay: Excellent. I just wanted to make sure. I really appreciate what you do and will be sure to thank you the next time we run into each other on a page. KidAd (talk) 18:51, 17 December 2019 (UTC)

AVP Amarthya Vardhan Patel KASHETTY - I clearly explained my changes at List of Kendriya Vidyalayas in my edit summary "Rv-V changing heading levels, incorrect use of bold, adding ELs to bodytext + breaking formatting" - four good reasons to revert your edits. - Arjayay (talk) 12:25, 18 December 2019 (UTC)

Damon Runyon's short story "Dancing Dan's Christmas" is a fun read if you have the time. Right from the start it extols the virtues of the hot Tom and Jerry

This hot Tom and Jerry is an old-time drink that is once used by one and all in this country to celebrate Christmas with, and in fact it is once so popular that many people think Christmas is invented only to furnish an excuse for hot Tom and Jerry, although of course this is by no means true.

No matter what concoction is your favorite to imbibe during this festive season I would like to toast you with it and to thank you for all your work here at the 'pedia this past year. Best wishes for your 2020 as well A. MarnetteD|Talk 19:30, 19 December 2019 (UTC)

No. there is no way to "claim the IP address as part of an account protected by credentials" - it is an IP, and although these are often blocked, it is only for a limited amount of time. Regarding removal of my addition.

Please let me know why are you keep on removing my additions on the page intended for basti district.

Please allow me additions on basti district page Aman88779255 (talk) 16:53, 30 December 2019 (UTC)

Hi Aman88779255 - as explained on your talk page, your addition was removed because that school does not have an article on the English Wikipedia.
If you want the school included on that list, you need to WP:Write the article first, and it can then be included, and linked to. However, writing an acceptable article is not as easy as many people think it is, so many articles have to be deleted, which causes further annoyance. - Arjayay (talk) 16:58, 30 December 2019 (UTC)

Your removal of my wikipedia edit in the word 'Abuja'

I did an edit to a page called 'Abuja'. Abuja is the town I live in. It is the capital of Nigeria. The edit was adding a reference to the page as wikipedia showed a warning that the page has no reference. I thought i was doing the right thing by adding the reference. However i see that you have reversed the edit. Please could you tell me what was wrong with the edit. i am a reasonable new editor and does not understand all the rules. i see that you are a grand master editor and will like to tap from your knowledge. Obihoja

Hi Obihoja
Receptor modeling of atmospheric aerosols in Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nigeria is probably a good reference if we were talking about pollution in the city, but it is not an authoritative reference about the city itself. I am sure that the FCT must have a publication about the layout of the city, which would be appropriate to cite.
I am intrigued why you chose such an obscure reference - did you help write it? - Best wishes - Arjayay (talk) 19:21, 1 January 2020 (UTC)

Hello Arjayay i note the issue you raised about the reference. i should have gotten a reference that is more apt. i must however state that i did not help write the reference for he records. thanks. Obihoja (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 19:37, 1 January 2020 (UTC)

Adding only entries with Articles in Wikipedia English

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Lists_within_articles states that "Sufficient notability to have a separate article is usually not required for a list entry (except for top-level lists written in WP:SUMMARY style, branching to more detailed sub-topical lists). This inclusion of content that is encyclopedically relevant, not just fully notable and already existing as separate WP articles, is one of the principal distinctions between lists and categories."

The entries you removed from the "Agrawal" page were definitely relevant. Being a billionaire or a founder of Indian-Unicorn startups (which are only 27 in India) is a very notable achievement. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.211.142.141 (talk) 19:29, 1 January 2020 (UTC)

Hi IP from Vadodara, Gujarat, you do not appear to be a new editor, so I suspect you may know much of this already.
Wikipedia uses a specific meaning of the word "notable" - which is that the person meets the criteria at WP:Notability, and the generally accepted way to show this, is that they have their own Wikipedia article. Although being a billionaire, indicates that a person may be notable, it is not one of the criteria laid down at WP:GNG, which need to be met before any article can be accepted.
Wikipedia:Lists within articles, which you referred to above, is an only essay, any one can write an essay expressing their personal views. As it clearly states:-
"It contains the advice or opinions of one or more Wikipedia contributors. This page is not one of Wikipedia's policies or guidelines, as it has not been thoroughly vetted by the community. Some essays represent widespread norms; others only represent minority viewpoints"
It is primarily the thoughts of 2 editors, in 2007 and 2015, and has not met general approval, so has not been adopted.

In terms of actual policies and guidelines please see Wikipedia:Notability (people), Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Lists#Adding individual items to a list, which also relates to Wikipedia:Stand-alone lists and Wikipedia:Notability#Stand-alone lists, you will find that these are not particularly clear, and partially self-contradictory.
Futhermore, Agrawal comes under our Caste/community rules, which are hidden all over the place, but are usefully summarised at User:Sitush/Common#Castelists; Fundamentally, ONLY people with their own Wikipedia articles, AND a reference from a reliable source that confirms that they are of that caste/community, should be included. Surnames, parentage and places of birth are not acceptable "proof" of caste/community membership. If the person is still alive, you should provide a source where they self-identify as being members, as people who wish to disassociate themselves from the caste/community must NOT be included, as this contravenes WP:BLP.
If you genuinely believe that the names you have added to Agrawal are notable, then please WP:Write the article first (another essay), before re-adding them. Once an article has been accepted, their notability is accepted, although you should still provide a reference from a reliable source that confirms that they are of that caste/community. Thank you - Arjayay (talk) 13:02, 2 January 2020 (UTC)

Good day, I just noticed that you removed "was been replaced by Verbena" statement to the article I've linked at the top. I want you to know that PAGASA already retired the name Vinta and upon checking on their website, Verbena was officially announced around the first quarter of 2019 (alongside Uwan, which replaced Urduja). If you don't believe me, you should try visiting their official site thru here.

Regards. Hamham31 Hamham31 23:58, 7 January 2020 (UTC)

Hamham31 I was just trying to change it, so that it made sense in English, you left it saying:-
"The name “Vinta” has been retired by the PAGASA and was been replaced by Verbena which will expected to be used for 2021." (my bold)
That has two errors in it, as shown in bold, which I have again tried to correct/
Please also correct the formatting of your signature, which is over-riding the format of all text added after it, so I had to change it to standard text - Arjayay (talk) 12:07, 8 January 2020 (UTC)

The official name of Belagavi is Belagavi. Belgaum was its pseudo name by some unknown person. Karnataka government offcially made its name as BELAGAVI. Those additions were blatantly promotional describing the KA as the "world's leading Association for training professionals" - as per WP:EXTRAORDINARY "Any exceptional claim requires multiple high-quality sources." but there were no reliable, WP:Independent sources. That addition also claimed (in screaming bold) that the Academy provided training across 221 countries - The UN only has 193 member states, two observer states and 11 other states - a total of 206, thus disproving the claim.
As for other articles, as explained at WP:Other stuff exists, there are lots of things in our articles that shouldn't be there, but we do not accept this as a rationale for adding more things that shouldn't be there, as we aim to improve our articles, not steadily make them worse, Best wishes Arjayay (talk) 16:39, 21 November 2019 (UTC)

Hi Arjayay, Thank you for letting me know we can add our sign by {S9urav (talk) 07:17, 22 November 2019 (UTC)}. I got your point the introduction lines not have good source. Because that was my first line I ever add in Wikipedia. After that, I researched all other educational institutions that are in the same category. And find Knowledge Academy(KA) did not have awards and recognition but others have. so I decided to add in(KA). it will take my whole day to research about all valid source. and I didn't know about we can bold the thing it looks like promotional. Can you please add awards and recognition and clients heading that I was updated. you can check all source. if you think anyone line which not have a valid source you have definitely delete them but not others which have.

It's very demotivating me that the first article I choose not approved. If you add that two headings so I will choose the next educational institute. and I also want to update revenue of KA according to 2019 and I had all valid source(companieshouse.gov.uk).

Thank you for guiding me. Please do not think the pay me any money. It's my personal interest because I'm good at find thing on the internet and after that, I choose the QA and another institute. S9urav (talk) 07:17, 22 November 2019 (UTC)

Hi Please revert back @Arjayay:. if I am wrong in above. otherwise, give me permission to update the article again. S9urav (talk) 13:21, 25 November 2019 (UTC)

Can you please revert back.@Arjayay: S9urav (talk) 11:15, 28 November 2019 (UTC)

No S9urav, as explained above "Those additions were blatantly promotional" so I will not reinstate them, and will remove them again if someone else re-adds them.
Despite your claims to have no connection with the Knowledge Academy, you clearly stated above "Thank you for letting me know we can add our sign" {my bold)
Furthermore, you are continuing to pester about this, both here and at User talk:MrOllie, whilst your edit history shows that yours is a Wikipedia:Single-purpose account - which indicates that you have a WP:Conflict of interest. Arjayay (talk) 11:33, 28 November 2019 (UTC)

Hi @Arjayay:, Thank you for guiding me. Can you please guide me which information can I update. So it will help me to update other educational institution article also. Can I update the company latest revenue as it seem it's shown 2017 data. I have valid source beta.companieshouse.gov.uk. Please let me know which type of information I will update. It really help me a lot to update other article. S9urav (talk) 05:35, 2 December 2019 (UTC) Hi @Arjayay:, Can you please reply to me? it will really help me a lot. S9urav (talk) 07:14, 12 December 2019 (UTC)

Hi@Arjayay:, i want to update the company revenue can you help me how can I add source in the above section. I have pdf how can i do this can you help me. https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/06865896/filing-history from document 'Full accounts made up to 31 March 2019' page 10. S9urav (talk) 14:36, 25 December 2019 (UTC)

S9urav you have been repeatedly warned not to re-add those promotional edits. As a COI editor you should not be editing the article. Please follow Wikipedia:Conflict of interest - there is a simple version at Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide - and propose changes on the article's talk page. Please do not waste your, and other editor's, time by proposing the same, promotional additions that keep being deleted. - Arjayay (talk) 18:17, 25 December 2019 (UTC)

Arjayay I am just fed up. why you think it's promotional. I had just add the section which i found on other article. Can you help me what type of information i can add into this type of article. it really help me a lot. It really confusing me now. can you also answer my question above. Because I believe Wikipedia need update information, if the information is very less or old how it can help users who read this article. It have very less information. Please reply me, Thank you. S9urav (talk) 16:06, 26 December 2019 (UTC)

Can you please answer my below questions.

1) New Horizons Computer Learning Centers article have awards section. so why no one remove that section?
2) Coursera article have Business model section under product and services section. I believe that was i another level of promotion.
3) Uadacity article have free courses, Enrollment, Certification, Awards, Spin-off company section is they not promotional.
4) Edx and futurelearn have Functionality, courses section.
5) Alison (company) article have Business model, Courses, Accreditation, Reception section.

Can you please let me know what you think about these sections which i have mentioned above. I really want to know your opinion. I have checked all article and find that this article have very less content compare to other article that why i start adding section into this article not because of they paid me. this is a uk company and i'm from dubai. I choose section from above article which already in wikipedia and no one remove. I'm not just choose this section by myself. Please answer my above question. Otherwise it seem like no new user can add anything to Wikipedia or you have any specific reason that's why you not want this article to be update or more informative.

I am looking forward to hear from you.Arjayay S9urav (talk) 07:48, 27 December 2019 (UTC)

Hi @Arjayay: why can you reply to me on that. Now I believe someone paid to you to not update the article. if not please answer my questions. conflict of interest S9urav (talk) 18:17, 22 January 2020 (UTC)

(sigh) - S9urav you have made 42 edits to date:-
6 to The Knowledge Academy, which were deleted as being promotional
3 to other articles to try and promote The Knowledge Academy {all since deleted)
1 inappropriate edit to a rival company, which was dismissed out of hand by an admin.
31 edits to userpages, largely Asking the other parent - trying to get a favourable response
1 edit to your sandbox, again about the Knowledge Academy.
So as all your edits relate to The Knowledge Academy, this simply re-enforces my point about you being an SPA, which I originally made on 28 November:-
"Despite your claims to have no connection with the Knowledge Academy, you clearly stated above "Thank you for letting me know we can add our sign" {my bold)
Furthermore, you are continuing to pester about this, both here and at User talk:MrOllie, whilst your edit history shows that yours is a Wikipedia:Single-purpose account - which indicates that you have a WP:Conflict of interest."
I explained what you should do on 25 December:-
"Please follow Wikipedia:Conflict of interest - there is a simple version at Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide - and propose changes on the article's talk page. Please do not waste your, and other editor's, time by proposing the same, promotional additions that keep being deleted."
Despite my explanation about what you should do, you have not done that
As you seem to have ignored all advice to date, there is little point in offering any more, although you should also read WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS
Please follow the advice you have already been given, and please do not bother me again - thank you - Arjayay (talk) 17:28, 24 January 2020 (UTC)

Brahmbhatt

Reply to Dear Arjayay:

Sorry to hear that. But what is perceived at your end is compromised and incomplete information. The previous edited page is a rude copy or information on identity 'Brahmbhatt' which can not end up having a handful of individuals. It's a historic or mythological item/part and should you please update yourself. The attempt, at volunteering is to update and improve the page's credentials as more correct and proper information prevail on public platforms such as reputed Wikipedia which is somehow open to anyone and everyone. Would appreciate and hope we could connect back with updated information or knowledge on 'Brahmbhatt'. However, if still, there's mistake from my end, sincere apologies. Let alone the page or the edits which you tag as "unsourced" are under continuous update/edit from my end and they will have all proper sources and references once it is upto a worthy mark in coming days. Hope you would get it. Also, please it is out of a noble wish and after noticing erratic and frivolously attempted/edited this page, i felt to lend my hand, even sitting overnight.

Would appreciate you proper reply and needful revision on Brahmbhatt page.

List of Bengalis

Arjayay, I noticed that you removed some of the edits that I had made on this page "List of Bengalis" because they had "red links" or no associated articles with those insertions. However, one of them had supporting articles, please see below. Can you advise why this was removed as well?

Link to Samit Ghosh: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samit_Ghosh Link to Ujjivan Small Finance Bank: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ujjivan_Small_Finance_Bank Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Samxm1987 (talkcontribs) 18:18, 26 January 2020 (UTC)

Samxm1987 - You added 35 names - if I accidentally deleted 1 out of 35 that had a link, it was simply collateral damage, because with so many red links I couldn't see the one new blue link - Arjayay (talk) 19:04, 26 January 2020 (UTC)

Joy Villas age

Stop falsifying her age!

Read this:

The California Birth Index has an entry for someone named Joy Angela Villa born in Orange County on April 25th, 1986 [1], which she herself seems to confirm on her personal, verified Instagram page (states that she is in fact 31): "joyvilla‪FALSE: Im a Soros puppet, Im controlled by aliens, Im sent from the future 2 take down Trump. True: Im 31, a Scientologist, I love Jesus, I voted 4 Obama, Im a vegan, Im 5’10, Im married, I tweeted 4 Bernie, I voted 4 @realDonaldTrump, I get death threats postGrammys, I ❤️Trump‬. Now can we please continue to #MAGA? 🇺🇸👌🏽😊#joytribe #unity #MAGA #womenwhowork #bringjoytocongress #therealjoyvilla #joyvillaexposed #joyvillamusic #rumourpatrol #fakenews" [2] Plasticmagnolias (talk) 00:26, 29 January 2018 (UTC)

Google this: "My wiki has 2 important things wrong, my age and my birthplace! 😭😂 I'm 31, born in Orange, CA" (2017) You will see that she confirms it herself in this tweet:

My wiki has 2 important things wrong, my age and my birthplace! 😭😂 I'm 31, born in Orange, CA ✌🏽🇺🇸💋https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joy_Villa (2017)

Grwgr47 (talk) 19:19, 27 January 2020 (UTC)

Grwgr47 - Please see my comment at Talk:Joy Villa, which I asked you to contribute to, but note that you have not done so.
WP:Primary sources such as Birth Indexes are not usually allowed - as you correctly say "someone named Joy Angela Villa" - so this may, or may not, be the same person.
As for her tweet - that is clearly not an Independent source. Many actors/musicians, and their agents, use false info - I knew a musician who was 2 months older than me, until he became a pop star, and he was suddenly 2 years 10 months younger than me, as they had knocked 3 years off his age.
Yet again, I say, please discuss this at Talk:Joy Villa, and cite reliable, Independent sources - thank you - Arjayay (talk) 20:08, 27 January 2020 (UTC)

I will report you, if you are continuing to falsify her birthday. I don't know what your agenda is, but if you cared to do some research you could easily verified that she is born in 1986. It is also ironic that you don't provide a single evidence for her being born in 1991.

Joy Villa was a freshman at Lompoc high school in 2000, and graduated in 2004. So do the math! Check out these links for proofs:

[1] [2] [3]

"Sarah Barthel, a performing arts and math teacher at Lompoc High, was among those who said she was caught off guard by the onslaught of attention Villa has received since wearing the dress Sunday. Barthel recalled teaching Villa in her math class when Villa was a freshman in 2000, and the teacher was apparently impressed enough by Villa's story that she invited Villa to speak to Lompoc High students in 2014, an invitation that Villa accepted." — Preceding unsigned comment added by Grwgr47 (talkcontribs) 11:23, 28 January 2020 (UTC)

Agrawal page edit

What rule is violated when we mention that the person is a billionaire? You said that they have their own articles, therefore its irrelevant. I don't understand how that works. We shouldn't mention anything about the person then. Am I missing something? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2402:8100:285E:A1B:1C7C:4EB2:5120:B515 (talk) 19:56, 10 February 2020 (UTC)

See List of Sikhs, Sindhi Hindus. Very similar kind of lists. They mention "Billionaire" and other relevant information wherever applicable. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2402:8100:285E:A1B:1C7C:4EB2:5120:B515 (talk) 20:04, 10 February 2020 (UTC)

There seems to be a fixation with billionaires on the Agrawal page. (I assume you are the same person using multiple accounts, please consider creating an account)
As previously explained here, being a billionaire is NOT what makes someone notable. The people are notable for founding and/or running major companies, which are the descriptions added in that list.
As for what is included in other articles as per WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS if someone is stretching or breaking the rules and guidelines, that is no reason for other people to copy them. - Arjayay (talk) 09:48, 11 February 2020 (UTC)

Hello. I would like the photo of me, which is my own photo, taken down from my page. J. Christopher Kovats-Bernat. Please advise... Kovatsbernat (talk) 04:00, 13 February 2020 (UTC)

The picture is now posted on Wikipedia Commons where it can easily "spread" to many foreign language Wikipedia's. I think it is smartest to make a Deletion requests there. — Yulia Romero • Talk to me! 16:54, 13 February 2020 (UTC)

(edit conflict) Hi Kovatsbernat - firstly, please put new posts at the bottom of the page, not somewhere in the middle, and add a title.
As for the photo, that was uploaded to Wikimedia commons, not en.wikipedia, on 12 November 2014 with an irrevocable CCASA4.0 licence, I don't know if there is a way to request its deletion, I suggest you ask at the commons help desk click here.
That said, there probably is little point in deleting it as, having been on the internet for over 5 years, there will be multiple copies already in circulation, and in archives.
The article J. Christopher Kovats-Bernat is Wikipedia's article about you, not your article, and will include relevant information, such as your picture. What may be acceptable, would be for you to upload a more recent picture of yourself, this would have to be a copyright free image, released under a similar licence, and we could then replace the existing image with a "current" one.
Finally, please do not alter our page about you, as you have a clear conflict of interest. Please read our guidance on that, and how to request edits. - Thank you - Arjayay (talk) 17:07, 13 February 2020 (UTC)

What is knowledge about India and Indian System

Why you reverted right information to wrong information? S.P.Verma (talk) 20:03, 17 February 2020 (UTC)

S.P.Verma - This is the English Wikipedia, and our articles are based on the common name in English as per the article title, not the official name. This name should be used throughout the article, other than a brief mention of the official name.
We may, eventually, change the name, as we did at Mumbai, after about 10 years, but other articles, such as Bangalore are still under their "English" names, as this is what English readers recognize. - Thank you - Arjayay (talk) 20:07, 17 February 2020 (UTC)

There are only three churches remaining in the town, St Cuthbert's - the only one still consecrated, St Peter's - used for occasional exhibitions, and St Mary the Less - currently being converted into flats. Pictures of these can be found in Grade II* listed buildings in Breckland - most of the old ecclesiastical ruins are in Grade I listed buildings in Breckland - Arjayay (talk) 15:59, 20 February 2020 (UTC)

Hi,

you removed ELs (?) from the Cinelerra page. I presume this means External Links? What should be used instead? Thanks, Mat — Preceding unsigned comment added by Manitech (talkcontribs) 15:35, 20 February 2020 (UTC)

Hi Manitech - yes, ELs are External links - sorry I shouldn't assume everybody knows that.
The guidelines are at Wikipedia:External links please note the very first line " they should not normally be placed in the body of an article."
Wikipedia is not a WP:LINKFARM and we aim to provide information, not a list of clickable links - especially as many/most links added to the body are spamlinks.
A limited selection of External links can be placed in the External links section - alternatively, information should be included as references as per the exiting examples in the article such as ref 11 "Build and install Lumiera". Best wishes - Arjayay (talk) 16:15, 20 February 2020 (UTC)

I'd like to keep the edits I just made and move them from internal links to the bottom where it shows External links. How do I do that?

Transclusion

I checked the original source and it has "the the file-inclusion", so I changed Transclusion the quote to "the the[sic] file-inclusion". I think that's the right the to do. Do you agree? --Lent (talk) 00:47, 28 February 2020 (UTC)

Hi Lent - as per Wikipedia:Quotations#Formatting
"Unexpected errors, imperfections and styles can be marked with " [sic]"—using the template {{sic}}—or "[emphasis in the original]", to indicate that the error is in the original source.
Exceptions are trivial spelling or typographical errors that obviously do not affect the intended meaning; these may be silently corrected."
So, you use chose the first option and added [sic], whereas I had already chosen the second option and silently corrected it - we are both "right" (a rarity on Wikipedia!)
Best wishes - Arjayay (talk) 09:37, 28 February 2020 (UTC)
Cool! I read the original paper (on paper) decades ago. I guess it predated the common use of Lorinda Cherry's Writer's Workbench at Bell Labs. The component double would flag "the the" for edit. You could run double separately or along with great components like sexist and diction of the document check/edit pass. Good memories! --Lent (talk) 01:57, 29 February 2020 (UTC)
