Information icon Hello, I'm 2601:5CC:8300:A7F0:44B5:EB74:8213:A2B. I noticed that you recently removed all content from a page. Please do not do this. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. As a rule, if you discover a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If a page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you wish to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. 2601:5CC:8300:A7F0:44B5:EB74:8213:A2B (talk) 04:58, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Churchill station (Edmonton), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Valley Line. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:00, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Boom Boom

[edit]

Hi Ansony89, I noticed your edits to Boom Boom (Mabel song). That article was redirected to the Denmark 1978 page after a discussion with several other editors. The feeling was that all of the important information could easily be included on the Denmark in the Eurovision Song Contest 1978 for articles like this. The song's importance is closely, if not only, related to Eurovision. Is there a reason why you think there should be two pages with the same information? I noticed a couple other articles you've done this to, including Charlie Chaplin (song). Grk1011 (talk) 14:00, 27 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Yes, I'm now reconsidering that maybe Charlie Chaplin (song) should be redirected. But Boom Boom (Mabel song) would be better off as a standalone entry, as it also includes other content outside of Eurovision, as well as his own song information and creative background. The song had some popularity in Denmark in the late 1970s, although it is not well known now. More information can be added to this entry over time, thank you!
Also, it's worth noting that Celine Dion's Ne partez pas sans moi is a separate entry, even though Switzerland in the Eurovision Song Contest 1988 already exists. So it's not like it shouldn't be done, and I hope Boom Boom remains a standalone entry as long as more information is added.Ansony89 (talk) 14:37, 27 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I think that's fine, but definitely don't just copy everything from the Denmark page. I don't think any of the tables are particularly relevant since the article is about the song, not the events. Grk1011 (talk) 14:52, 27 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your invitation! I browsed through the projects. I'm sorry that I don't know much about these at the moment, so this is a bit challenging for me. I will consider it when I have time in the future, ありがとう🫂 Ansony89 (talk) 17:13, 20 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Some bubble tea for you!

[edit]
Hiya, thanks for creating Wang Zhi'an (saw the article in new page patrol). Article looks well researched and really interesting! Justiyaya 16:34, 16 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Be a bit careful about grammar, a few phrases are a bit weird but I've fixed most of them for you. Feel free to ping me for a review next time :D Justiyaya 16:43, 16 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for giving me some bubble tea and for helping to polish the grammar of that article!

January 2024

[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Wang Zhi'an. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 01:59, 17 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm sure I didn't do the Wikipedia:History merging about Wang Zhi'an. I just created two redirect pages: Wang Zhian and Wang Zhi An. These are different spellings of this person's name. Additionally, this article was translated by me from the Chinese Wikipedia.
So please don't list it in Wikipedia:Requests for history merge.
Thank you! Ansony89・・・ 07:32, 17 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
