User talk:AnnetteColeman
Welcome!
Hello, AnnetteColeman, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I notice that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.
To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or any other editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
The one firm rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. It is also worth noting that Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which specifically link them to one company or corporation. If your username does have such a name, it would be advisable for you to request a change of username.
If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page or the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! You can also just type {{helpme}}
on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!
MfD nomination of User:AnnetteColeman
[edit]User:AnnetteColeman, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:AnnetteColeman and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:AnnetteColeman during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. January (talk) 12:31, 7 April 2012 (UTC)
This must be a very gray area between promotional and informational. Please take a peek at other artists pages such as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yoko_Ono. What do I need to add so that my page falls into informational? And who is MfD? My exhusband?˜˜˜˜
- Yoko Ono is an article, this is a user page - please see WP:User pages for Wikipedia's guidelines on the use of user pages, which are intended to be relevant to contributors' activities on Wikipedia. If you intended this page to be an article, I should point out that while Wikipedia does have articles on notable artists (WP:ARTIST explains what would be considered notable), creating an article about oneself is strongly discouraged. Please see WP:Autobiography for more information about this. January (talk) 18:10, 7 April 2012 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of User:AnnetteColeman
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on User:AnnetteColeman, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Peridon (talk) 11:08, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
I have had extensive articles written about me and my work. If you give me time to chase them down I can note them within the page. AnnetteColeman (talk) 15:50, 8 April 2012 (UTC)

I. | The "Tips" page is a listing of all the "how to pages" on using Wikipedia.

II. | Before starting a new article! - Notability is a concern that must be adhered to. See Wikipedia:Notability for more information.
III. | Use references. This is an encyclopedia, so remember to include references listing websites, newspapers, articles, books and other sources you have used to write or expand articles. New articles and statements added to existing articles may be deleted if unreferenced or referenced poorly. See: Wikipedia:Citing sources and Wikipedia:Verifiability for more information.
IV. | Keep it simple. Remember that the average reader should be able to comprehend the erudition. Although you should use a broad vocabulary of regular, non-technical terms, do not provide such a quantity of locutions as to impel those who aspire to derive serviceable information from the article to consult a dictionary or thesaurus. Stay on topic as many articles are criticized for length; sticking to the subject matter helps eliminate this. See: Wikipedia:Writing better articles and Wikipedia:The perfect article for more information..
V. | Use images if possible. Images enhance articles greatly, but only use them when they are necessary, and ensure that their copyright status has been specified and we are allowed to use it on Wikipedia. See: Wikipedia:Images and Wikipedia:Picture tutorial for more information.
