Looking for sources

[edit]

Hi there, I hope you are doing well! I am looking to improve Bass Rush: ECOGEAR PowerWorm Championship, Cyber Groove, and Rich Diamond, do you have any additional sources for any of those? BOZ (talk) 18:16, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Worth checking the company pages for these games. (Visco Corporation for Bass Rush for example). Maybe there are links to reviews there. Timur9008 (talk) 18:39, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The only source I know of Rich Diamond is the archived link (June 30, 1999) from The Electric Playground. --Angeldeb82 (talk) 18:42, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The Newsday review had the company website listed for RIch Diamond. [1], [2] I'm still checking Timur9008 (talk) 19:09, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Very nice, thanks! I already had the Newsday review in there, but I added the Electric Playground review. BOZ (talk) 19:52, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
IGN articles on Cyber Groove [3] Timur9008 (talk) 20:24, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I added a review to that game from IGN. :) BOZ (talk) 21:52, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I discovered a Famitsu link got Bass Rush, and it turns out that the Japanese release date is actually April 27, 2000. That means that someone at GameFAQs got the release date a day off. Also, from what I can read in Japanese, Famitsu gave the game a score of 27 out of 40, as shown in this link here. Angeldeb82 (talk) 22:48, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, thanks. I'm glad you can read that. :) I'm not sure how many of the pages listed here are reviews, or which ones are in English. BOZ (talk) 23:05, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I was wondering about a couple of merged and redirected articles, to see if you had enough reviews for me to bring them back? Rock & Roll Racing 2: Red Asphalt was redirected from here, and Microsoft Revenge of Arcade was redirected from here. I can restore them if there are enough sources to make it worthwhile. BOZ (talk) 22:48, 1 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

How about, do you see anything more for Alien Earth, D-Xhird, or Fallen Haven? BOZ (talk) 16:35, 8 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Well, all I know is that I found info about D-Xhird, and it says that in Japan, Famitsu gave it a score of 23 out of 40, as shown in this link here. Angeldeb82 (talk) 16:58, 8 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Nice, thanks, I added that. :) BOZ (talk) 17:33, 8 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

How about, do you see anything more for Robotron X, Blam! Machinehead, or Project Horned Owl? BOZ (talk) 15:38, 13 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Los Angeles Times article mention for Robotron X [4] (not sure if useful) Timur9008 (talk) 15:53, 13 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It's useful. :) BOZ (talk) 18:09, 13 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

How about these, do you see anything more for Gunblade NY, Thexder 95, or Skyborg: Into the Vortex? BOZ (talk) 16:05, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

How about, do you have anything for VR Troopers (video game), Space Griffon VF-9, or Curse of Dragor? BOZ (talk) 14:57, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Why do you keep nagging me or asking me for sources about 1995-96 obscure video games that you only did a NextGen review on every few days or so? It's so annoying. Angeldeb82 (talk) 16:45, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I won't ask for any more. Sorry for that. BOZ (talk) 17:27, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Autopatrolled granted

[edit]

Hi Angeldeb82, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled user right to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in the new pages feed. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers.

Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject templates, stub tags, categories, and incoming links to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.

Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 14:24, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits to Infested Planet

[edit]

If you look at {{vgreviews}}, it says not to include scores unless they're in the prose. You also shouldn't change citations formats when someone has clearly established a certain style. Also, please don't remove {{vgrelease}}; this is recommended in {{infobox video game}}. I'm also not sure why you're removing double-spaces after periods. Please don't do that. This is allowed by MOS:DOUBLESPACE, so it shouldn't be removed just because you don't like it. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 02:51, 15 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A "bare URL and missing title" error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 02:06, 26 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Video game reviews template

[edit]

Please see MOS:VG, which says {{Video game reviews}} "supplements the reception section; it does not replace it" and "it is not to replicate the function of external review aggregators." Each entries in the template should be summarized in prose in the reception section. We already link to Metacritic and report the Metascore, so a bunch of ratings without context doesn't really help much. Also, in this edit, you said Tomorrow Never Dies "received mixed reviews according to the review aggregation website GameRankings", but the source cited does not say anything about "mixed reviews". NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 16:20, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You're still ignoring what the MOS says. For example, in this edit. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 15:09, 17 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries

[edit]

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! – Daℤyzzos (✉️ • 📤) 23:02, 26 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings. I just added a bunch of sources to the talk page of Outland (video game). I also noticed that you had contributed a good portion of the article previously. If you were still interested in the article, there should be enough to make a good development section, and after a good copy edit, the article would likely pass a Good Article Nomination. Again, just throwing this out there if you were so inclined to work on it further. If not, please disregard. Have a good one. (Guyinblack25 talk 16:29, 6 October 2024 (UTC))[reply]

Pursuit Force edits

[edit]

Hello,

I noticed you took out a lot of the citations in Pursuit Force wiki. Majority of the links are still working so I don't understand what you mean by "obsolete." If you do remove them, please replace them with newer references and not just put "[citation needed]" and expect others to do it for you. Krisfrosz133 (talk) 04:02, 10 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
