Edit warring on Celeste

Wanted to leave a reminder that reverting back and forth (edit warring) is considered disruptive on Wikipedia. If you disagree with an edit and it has already been reverted once, the common practice is to take the edit to the talk page for discussion where other editors can chime in. In this case, I think your original revert was at least partially justified but since it didn't go to the talk page, the only evidence is a series of reverts in the history, which isn't productive. Also note that making three reverts in a 24-hour period ("3RR") ends with a temporary block on any such account. czar 01:19, 13 November 2019 (UTC)

Hi Angeldeb82, I have the same complaint. You edited the "Slay the Spire" wiki page and removed several awards, citing it as "vandalism". In particular, you removed the awards from Steam, IGN, and PC Gamer. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Slay_the_Spire&oldid=934005320 Those awards are notable enough that they have their own pages and documentation on the wiki, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Game_of_the_Year_awards and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steam_Awards. I now see that in looking at similar games (e.g. Outer Wilds), other editors remove similar awards, see for example the commit by Masem where they said "Reverted good faith edits (talk): We don't include website awards in this. This can go into prose."

Do you see the difference between reverting a change and referring to it as a "good faith edit" vs reverting that same change and calling it "vandalism"? Your edit summary was very rude and when I read it I felt very hurt. I had taken time out of my day to carefully add those new awards and then you called me a vandal for doing so. IGN and the others aren't some tiny news outlets -- IGN reaches millions of readers and PC Gamer is the best selling PC games magazine in multiple countries. I skimmed the rest of your talk page and this isn't the first time someone has complained to you directly about this. I see at least Juhoran, Hayman30, and Spanneraol above. How many other editors have felt similarly when they saw your comments but didn't feel safe to speak up? The definition of a vandal is "a person who deliberately destroys or damages public or private property". I would recommend in the future that you do not use the word "vandal" unless someone has 1.) deleted the page, 2.) added offensive or bigoted statements to the page, 3.) performed some other obvious edits intended to anger, damage, or harm others. I saw that you reverted my edit [1] at Chrome OS version history, could you clarify further what the benefit was of your reversion? Yes, the link was intentional to show that Chrome OS version history redirects there. I am glad to be done with that project, as it was quite a lot of work for two years, but I am glad I got the ball rolling. Hi again! Thank you for going back over all the game articles reviewed in Next Generation to make improvements on them. It looks like you have more or less gone through just about all of them from 1999 and later, and I found only a few that could use your touch if you want to look at them:

First of all, Rich Diamond was restored in part thanks to you bringing it up on my talk page and inspiring myself and others to work on it.

Bass Rush: ECOGEAR PowerWorm Championship is the only one from that period that I started but has been redirected; maybe there is more out there for that one, to bring it back?

A couple more that could use anything else you can find for them, if you want to take a look: Cyber Groove and Last Kingdom.

Hi again! Thank you for all you have been doing. :) It looks like you have gotten back to roughly 1997 so I took another look at my list of games I started from 1998-1999 or so that are still in the most need:

Rock & Roll Racing 2: Red Asphalt has also been redirected, as has Faery Tale Adventure II: Halls of the Dead and Microsoft Revenge of Arcade

These all definitely need the most expansion: The Isle of Four Winds: Rune War, NetWAR, Motocross Go!, Rocky Mountain Trophy Hunter: Interactive Big Game Hunting.

Hi, Angeldeb82. I've been doing new page review for video games, and I was wondering if you've considered applying for the autopatrolled right. You've definitely created enough articles to be considered, and the ones I've seen from you so far have no issues that would make marking them reviewed even somewhat controversial. Of course the benefit of not being autopatrolled is that another experienced editor always double-checks your work, so there is a trade-off, but it seems to me like you could be trusted with that privilege, as you're clearly WP:HERE, and your video game stubs seem essentially error-free (I guess while I do find the 'Video game reviews' box being on the left side a bit odd, I've yet to hear of a consensus against it). At any rate, you have about nine articles left to be reviewed, so I'll make my way through those tonight. Please stop. I view this as uncivil and a personal attack even if BOZ does not. I see no issue with BOZ's NextGeneration addition in that article, beyond a little verbosity. It certainly contains no broken English, which comes off as an attack on his writing.

Well, he always repeated all of those phrases that said, "[Author] of Next Generation reviewed the [console/PC/Macintosh/arcade] version of the game, giving it [number of] stars out of five, and stated that "[last paragraph or Bottom Line sentence pasted from magazine]", even if the game was only released on only one console or PC or if the last sentence was either partial or made no sense whatsoever (which was very annoying to Wikipedia editors). Hi ferret, thanks for speaking up here, and I just noticed this (because I was curious as to why I was no longer being mentioned in edit summaries, LOL) and I just wanted to clear the air a little. You were right to caution Angeldeb82 for this, because even though I was not bothered by this action, I also know I am not the only person that has been the target of this edit summary-based criticism (Thibbs comes to mind) so I cannot speak for how others might feel about it. I did always wonder what the reason was for this action, but I did not think much of it beyond a strange curiosity. I believe I was finished with the run of Next Gen by April 2020 or so, and I believe Angeldeb82 started working on these articles probably a little earlier that same year, so if she had a concern with my style she could have approached me directly but never did. Continuing to criticize me for a project I completed a year and a half ago definitely puzzled me though; I'm not going to change how I do something that I'm not doing anymore. :) But to Angeldeb82's credit, her work on the many articles I started during that project as well as many other articles besides those has been phenomenal and impressive, and my liberal use of the "thank" feature towards her should attest to my appreciation for everything she has done. Two medical cases charts

Are you interested in updating Template:COVID-19 pandemic data/Russia medical cases chart and Template:COVID-19 pandemic data/Estonia medical cases chart? I noticed that the person who is trying to edit those two charts is the same person who is trying to edit Template:COVID-19 pandemic data/United Kingdom medical cases chart. Interplay Sports Baseball Edition 2000

At Interplay Sports Baseball Edition 2000, it isn't vandalism to remove the reception template. Template:Video game reviews even says, "This template is not required." You clearly vandalized the article by removing my expansion and placing the stub icon back on the article. I undid your edits to replace my expansion. Also, the reviews for Computer Gaming World and Electronic Gaming Monthly are clearly illegal scans per the home pages of the website. Yes. I've tidied up the article and added the Reception chart and some scores and links, plus, I've added the link to the Vol. 3 article in the Namco Museum article. Mac OS X/OS X/macOS

I've seen you change the name for the macOS platform on several articles recently. Please see the template docs for the relevant guidance: When refering to the modern Mac OS, use the name it had at the time the game was releaed for the platform, that is:

• Mac OS X (September 13, 2000–July 24, 2012)
• OS X (July 25, 2012–September 21, 2016)
• macOS (September 22, 2016–present)

So in this case, it should have remained "OS X". Also, piping this link to "macOS" is incorrect per WP:NOPIPE/WP:NOTBROKEN. Hope this helps! Regards, IceWelder [✉] 17:06, 29 November 2022 (UTC)
