Tinana / Wilson's Beach moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Tinana / Wilson's Beach, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Ways to improve Lincoln Road busway station

[edit]

Hello, AmberDragon030,

Thank you for creating Lincoln Road busway station.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

The general notability guideline WP:GNG requires multiple independent reliable secondary sources that constitute of significant coverage (WP:SIGCOV). Given that this is a government project, IMO Auckland Transport should not be considered as independent. In contrast, the other three references are from Greater Auckland, which has a vision page but no editorial policies, and might not pass the reliable source requirements at WP:RS. My search found trivial coverage such as 1.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|VickKiang}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Lincoln Road busway station moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Lincoln Road busway station, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. Some words of advice

[edit]

Kia ora and thanks for your recent edits. I see that you are interested in public transport in Auckland. Good on you! Let me offer some words of advice if you don't mind. Firstly, Wikipedia:Official names and WP:COMMONNAME are related concepts, but they aren't the same. On Wikipedia, we give more weight to common names than official names. The move of Britomart Transport Centre to Waitematā railway station looks somewhat premature and whilst we will eventually settle on a name with Waitematā in it, I would not be surprised if your move were to be reverted in the meantime. When a move is potentially contentious, it's always a good idea to have a discussion on an article's talk page with other editors first. This feeds into my second piece of advice. Your edits are reasonably bold and sometimes, it's best to ask for input on the talk page first. Lastly, I see that you have created Draft:Te Atatū busway station. I have no doubt that the station is notable but you need a few sources from what we call WP:RS (reliable sources). Blogs don't usually meet that definition (and Greater Auckland certainly doesn't, regardless whether you or I like their work; I certainly do and read articles frequently). Find some articles with substance written on Stuff or the NZ Herald and add those sources to the draft. When done, feel free to ask me to review the article. If those sources are more than mere mentions, I'll approve the article and shift it back into main space.

All the best. Schwede66 23:11, 16 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please have a read of WP:MINOR. In short, if you add any content, even if a single word, it’s not a minor edit. Schwede66 18:14, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Drury railway station requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

It may meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion under CSD G6

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Fork99 (talk) 07:31, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, AmberDragon030. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Te Atatū busway station".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. When you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Nomination for deletion of Template:Northwestern Busway, Auckland

[edit]

Template:Northwestern Busway, Auckland has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the entry on the Templates for discussion page. DB1729talk 22:21, 20 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Westgate busway station has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-existent station, article is primary-source speculation based on something that may exist in the future, appears to be on secondary coverage in reliable sources

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 29 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Northwestern Busway, Auckland indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 06:56, 5 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
