[edit]Hello, I'm Ravensfire. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Jab We Met seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Ravensfire (talk) 20:47, 30 September 2022 (UTC)
Per your edit, Imran Khan was credited first, is there a reason for the cast name switching? DareshMohan (talk) 06:57, 9 October 2022 (UTC)
Hello. In a recent edit, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.
For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author of the article used.
In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. OhNoitsJamie Talk 20:53, 24 October 2022 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for November 6
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Filmfare Award for Best Music Director, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jaani. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message
[edit]Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}

Rowspan in 'Awards' tables
[edit]Please stop adding rowspan to 'Awards' tables. Unless used carefully, rowspan use, especially improper use of rowspan, will significantly reduce the "readability" of these tables (as well as making the "code" harder to edit for other editors). So, unless you know what you're doing, adding rowspan to tables is a bad thing to do. As this seems to be the major thrust of your recent editing, I would encourage you to move on to other types of editing. Thank you. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 14:36, 7 December 2022 (UTC)

Please stop your disruptive editing.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at List of awards and nominations received by Jennifer Lawrence, you may be blocked from editing. And at other articles. Clearly not interested in editing constructively – one more warning, and you will be looking at a block. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 00:32, 19 December 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! Drmies (talk) 17:45, 6 April 2023 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Epicgenius. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you unlinked one or more redlinks from 53W53 and several other articles. Redlinks are useful and can often be helpful, so we don't remove them just because they are red. They help improve Wikipedia by attracting editors to create needed articles.
In addition, clicking on the "What links here" link (in the tools listed at the left in desktop view) on a missing article shows how many—and which—articles depend on that article being created. This can help prioritize article creation. Please only remove a redlink if you are pretty sure that it is to a non-notable topic and not likely ever to be created. Thanks! Epicgenius (talk) 12:53, 7 April 2023 (UTC)

I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Amrita Rao, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Date ranges at Siddharth Anand
[edit]Hello @Alpha0987654321. I am @Archer1234. I noticed your recent edit to Siddharth Anand where you restored your previously reverted edit that changed the date format in the section headeings from a non-abbreviated form (XXXX-YYYY) to a two-digit ending year form (XXXX-YY).
The Wikpedia Manual of Style for Dates and Numbers says (emphasis in original):
Although non-abbreviated years are generally preferred, two-digit ending years [...] may be used in any of the following cases: (1) two consecutive years; (2) infoboxes and tables where space is limited (using a single format consistently in any given table column); and (3) in certain topic areas if there is a very good reason, such as matching the established convention of reliable sources.
Use of two-digit ending years in the section headings at Siddharth Anand does not appear to fall within any of these exceptions.
You originally made this change here and were reverted here with the edit summary of MOS:DATERANGE
, which is a link to the section of the Manual of Style quoted above. Per WP:BRD, you made a BOLD edit, but then were REVERTed. At that point you should have started a DISCUSSion (ideally at Talk:Siddharth Anand) to discuss and seek consensus for your proposed change. Instead, you restored your edit. This is edit warring.
I am going to restore the section headings with full year date ranges, in line with the guidance from the Manual of Style. If you reinstate the two-digit ending year format absent a discussion and consensus, then I will file a complaint with an appropriate administrator's noticeboard. To reinforce my message here, after I post this message I will post the boilerplate edit-warring warning on your talk page, which has more links to the relevant policies and guidelines for situations like this. I encourage you to read them. — Archer (t·c) 01:33, 4 January 2024 (UTC)
January 2024
[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Siddharth Anand. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. — Archer (t·c) 01:34, 4 January 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Thanks for the lead edit, that seems better. I did reverse where you changed a direct quote (the names of the actors). Direct quotes shouldn't be changed on Wikipedia, or anywhere for that matter. Maybe keep a lookout for when something is a quote (I've made that mistake at least a few times, not realizing I was editing a quote, then did realize and reverted. Hopefully I haven't made others that I and other editors missed). Randy Kryn (talk) 03:04, 25 March 2024 (UTC)
