[edit]Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that in this edit to Tigrayans, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 19:50, 28 November 2020 (UTC)

. DMacks (talk) 20:15, 28 November 2020 (UTC)Hello, Materialscientist. Thank you for asking me for this politicaly motivated article. Both Bihere Tigrigna(ብሄረ ትግሪና) and Tigrayans(ተጋሩ) speak similar language, The bihere Tigrigna aquired thier name of the language they speak called Tigrigna and the Tigrayans aquire thier name of the land they live called Tigray. The Bihere Tigrigna are Eritreans living in diferent provinces and The Tigrayans are Ethiopians living in the Tigray province. If you call the Eritreans bihere Tigrigna as Tigrayan they may anger because this name have never attached to us and with the political conflicts we have hade with the Tigrayans. I am Eritrean from the Bihere Tigrigna and the name Tigrayan never represented me or my grand fathers in history but the Tigrayans need it for political purpuse. So, if you are willing to correct such kind of Ethnic violations you welcome. Thanks. Adkemetegeleba (talk) 20:30, 28 November 2020 (UTC)

Debre Tilul moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Debre Tilul, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. [edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Habesha languages, without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. LandLing 16:23, 30 December 2021 (UTC)
Ge'ez
[edit]Hello. I reverted your recent edits to Ge'ez because they had some errors. I'm not entirely sure what you were trying to do, but I think that you were misusing 'Erythræan'… at least according to the sources that use that classification. I don't know of any source that refers to Ge'ez itself as the Erythræan language, & that's quite a different thing from referring to Afro-Asiatic as a whole as Erythræan. The latter usage is probably not a good introduction given that 'Afro-Asiatic' is in general use, now & we don't have a page on Erythraean. If you want to add that Ge'ez originated or partially originated in Yemen, that should probably only be added with a reliable source. Take care! Pathawi (talk) 02:24, 3 September 2022 (UTC)
- I'm noticing similar edits to Tigrinya language, which I've also reverted. If you want to make edits that reclassify languages, you've probably got to make a clear argument for why you're doing that—at least in the edit summary, but really probably best on the Talk page. If you're adding historical information, it should really be sourced. Remember that people on any side of a politically contentious issue could theoretically edit Wikipedia to match their values. That's why we have a WP:VERIFYability policy, & why we encourage editors to focus on verification, not WP:TRUTH. Pathawi (talk) 02:31, 3 September 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Agaw people, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. LandLing 10:02, 13 February 2023 (UTC)
