NPL Victoria deletion

[edit]

Hello Matilda Maniac. I see and understand your points for deletion for the National Premier Leagues Victoria, 2, 3 articles. The inscription come from an article such as 2004–05 NSW Premier League season where I initially thought, that state league competitions are allowed to have their own individual articles and them being up for a couple years. If we come to the agreement that we terminate the Victorian NPL ones which we probably will, then the NSW Premier League seasons should also be discussed and terminated along with them and just redirect them towards each federation seasons. FastCube (talk) 13:15, 5 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I will copy your comments to the Football Task Force page and reply there as a more appropriate location than my talk page.Matilda Maniac (talk) 23:12, 5 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

Information icon Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to Western United FC (A-League Women). Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 13:53, 24 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No worries. I wasn't aware of that guideline. Matilda Maniac (talk) 23:59, 24 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent contributions to Garang Kuol

[edit]

Stop icon This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at Garang Kuol, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. 114.122.143.223 (talk) 06:58, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It's hardly vandalism to update the article to reflect referenced facts from reliable sources --SuperJew (talk) 07:14, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
This IP has been blocked - exhibiting the same behaviour at a number of other articles, and in my opinion, clearly not here to build an encyclopedia Matilda Maniac (talk) 07:16, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
yup your analysis seems correct --SuperJew (talk) 07:48, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Template:2021–23 A-League Men combined table for AFC Champions League has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the entry on the Templates for discussion page. Macosal (talk) 11:53, 4 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

National teams template discussion

[edit]

You are misrepresenting what happened. I made an edit to the template at 06:23 (diff). You started the discussion at 06:34 (diff), 11 minutes later. My edit was not made "during the discussion". Please amend or remove your comment to reflect what actually happened. Jmorrison230582 (talk) 10:15, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, but this isn't much better (diff). Please assume good faith. The phrase "pre-emptive strike" only makes sense if there is some evidence that I knew you were going to start a discussion. I didn't. Jmorrison230582 (talk) 12:31, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Then merely very odd, coincidental and disappointing timing, if it is not pre-emptive. Why does there need to be this side discussion on my talk page? Matilda Maniac (talk) 23:35, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't want the main discussion to be hijacked by an argument about your apparent assumption - based on faulty information - that I was acting in bad faith. It would have been a lot easier for you to just apologise and retract the original allegation, but instead you accused me of something else that was based on a false premise. Jmorrison230582 (talk) 05:23, 22 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Bring in the lawyers. I stand by my post. Every time I post at that Talk page (thats not vandalism-related) this happens, by people with stronger opinions than mine; who now use words like "hijack", "faulty information", "apologise", "retract", "accused", "false".
I truly wish I had not started his topic - which was in the hope that 5-10 articles would align with the other 1000 - as it now looks like the strong minority will cause the 1000 other articles to change, which is a lot of work for a lot of people. But of course, "thats how Wikipedia works". Matilda Maniac (talk) 22:58, 22 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Palestine's home venue

[edit]

We don't have to anticipate things. The Algerian Federation's statement means nothing without the approval of FIFA and the AFC. This is a precedent. Dl.thinker (talk) 00:13, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

That is simply an opinion, not WP policy. There is currently a credible reference to back up the venue location, so it should be left until it changes and there is a reputable source for that change. There is nothing to say something cannot exist until it has FIFA approval. Matilda Maniac (talk) 07:19, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

"acgl" for challenge league, sure?! 93.143.247.43 (talk) 07:52, 27 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Paris-Panthéon-Assas University, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A "missing title" error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 13:35, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Matilda Maniac, thank you for your amendments to Paris-Panthéon-Assas University. Just to note that a reduction of around 1,500 characters should not be described as a "minor" edit! Best wishes, BobKilcoyne (talk) 02:19, 21 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, it indeed started as minor formatting, until my Preview saw some other reference formatting errors, and noted some of these were in the list of 10 references to the single statement that it was a top law school. There's still errors in the journal sources, which the bot picked up, but you'll likely need a francophone to work out how to most easily updated those. Matilda Maniac (talk) 04:17, 21 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, happy editing! BobKilcoyne (talk) 05:06, 21 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

References on 2023-24 ALW

[edit]

Hey mate, just regarding this, I kept both as the Twitter source is primarily referencing the info (golden boot Heyman) and the PFA had it as a "by-the-way" I felt. But if that's enough, no worries keeping just the PFA source. But as I was unsure I left both in. Cheers --SuperJew (talk) 20:00, 4 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

In general terms, I just have this 'thing' about the use of X in terms of the reliability as a reference source for an encyclopedia (see WP:TWITTER) especially with regards to WP:NPOV. So if theres an alternative news source, im inclined to replace a reference, rather than add another. Matilda Maniac (talk) 01:24, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oh I definately prefer to use sources other than Twitter (not willing to call it X ugh) --SuperJew (talk) 05:44, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your contributions to 2024–25 in Australian soccer. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources and lacks content. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 06:11, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Where to place a tournament spanning June and July

[edit]

Was adding the tournaments just announced by the FA following the draw, and I'm wondering where to place the 2024 ASEAN U-16 Boys Championship? It's 21 June–4 July, so should it go in 2023–24 in Australian soccer which is until June 2024 or in 2024–25 in Australian soccer which is from July 2024? What do you think? --SuperJew (talk) 10:33, 30 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If Australia only participates in the group stage, then the former. If they make the semi finals or beyond, then in both article (fully duplicated, not splitting individual matches). If anyone wants to object about that at the time, deal with it at the time. Matilda Maniac (talk) 23:01, 30 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
gotcha, so I'll put it in 2023-24 now and see how Australia go. Not sure if I'll have time to get around to it today/tomorrow. You're welcome to add it if you have the time :) Cheers1 --SuperJew (talk) 04:22, 31 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Afc womens cl / 24-25, both articles have registered user reverting sourced/grammar updates, with profanity summary. 93.140.133.178 (talk) 13:04, 13 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A very serious falsely accuse was found in your edit summary that Grid Results section to be WP:OP. Please be sure that knowing what is Original research. As the result could be find out from the official draw show, you could consider adding the source, instead of removing the section with serious falsely accuse. Secondly, "minutiae" should be refer to how teams pairing by A1-B2 C1-D4 something, it is just a brief for who they would play only. Very simple, Column A teams plays with Column B and C once, not mentioning Home and Away, which is the real "minutiae" actually. As a result, both points of your edit summary are very falsely accuse. KyleRGiggs (talk) 08:59, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Besides, comparing with the UEFA draw procedures which use software automatic draw, ACLE only use physical balls, with pairing by Columns. Teams playing other teams from the other Columns. A not playing A but B and C. Is that incomprehensive? I think the reason incomprehensible is just the first season adopting this system probably. KyleRGiggs (talk) 09:34, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Provide a reference, which is how Wikipedia works, not from what one saw if you watched official draw show. Matilda Maniac (talk) 13:57, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Why don't you also check it yourself, instead of only keeping reverting? It seems NOT constructive, you know what is the meaning of non-constructive for wikipedia right? KyleRGiggs (talk) 03:35, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
A user has no obligation to check that added information is true if the editor who added it didn't supply sources. --SuperJew (talk) 05:25, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. Then let him to explain what is the meaning of the grid number included in the official published documents which is already referenced. He even skipped it. The video just explained Columns playing other Columns, that is why I added those words. However, the grid number is explicitly stated in the referenced documents. Even I don't use that video, the grid number still have been already stated. I don't think that grid number is a miscellany. In other words, the video expelled the possibility of miscellany, even it is already not since the very first second. KyleRGiggs (talk) 10:05, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It was in the FIRST page of the referenced document. KyleRGiggs (talk) 10:11, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Besides, please explain the meaning of A1 B1 C1 in the official published documents in the Draw Results and Match Schedule. Only to be understand by official draw video until third-party article published. In anyway, it is already second-hand information in wikipedia. KyleRGiggs (talk) 05:03, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Warning to you for false signature

[edit]

Never again dare to make comments using my signature. In this edition you made, there was an inclusion (by you) of comments under my name, which made it seem as if I had made 2 comments in a row about the same thing, in an attempt to assassinate my reputation. I completely repudiate this attitude, which I will let pass this time, just warning you. If it happens again, I will have to take more drastic measures and report you. SinisterUnion (talk) 03:49, 26 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please get off my talk page, and do not threaten me again when I post an opinion that you do not share. Matilda Maniac (talk) 04:06, 26 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not threatening anyone, I'm warning you and I hope this doesn't happen again. Have a good one. SinisterUnion (talk) 04:12, 26 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am actually happy that this User got blocked for various infractions, including WP:BATTLEGROUND. Matilda Maniac (talk) 23:28, 29 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
