Image copyright problem with Image:Ealogo.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Ealogo.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Speedy deletion of Whistler Group
A tag has been placed on Whistler Group requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Scapler (talk) 03:42, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
Peace through vandalism
Why are you stopping my rights to free speech? Obviously the title of the article itself seemed to be favor in vandalism. Accordingly, I vandalized it, in favor of it's own seeming intent. What is wrong with that? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.227.146.63 (talk) 00:44, 13 December 2008 (UTC)

to revert one word in joke because it not sourced is going too far. The thought police at wiki need to get a life! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.15.6.99 (talk) 08:29, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, I didn't realize the nature of the article. It appeared that you were editing a quote that had been taken from another source, but now that I checked again that was not the case. If you make the change again I won't revert. --Aka042 (talk) 08:33, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
- you just reverted my edits to Karen Pryor's page and I feel sorry for you and this place because her entire background is a lie and people like you just contribute to give wrong information to the public. FYI she never graduated with any biological or behavioral degrees and she only known in the dog training world. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.105.72.99 (talk) 08:54, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
- Hi, the article does not state that she graduated with biological or behavioral degress, but only that she is notable in those fields. There is a discussion on the article's talk page that addresses this topic. Please feel free to add about her experience with dog training, but I reverted your edits because they removed information that has been addressed in the talk page (according to a comment there she wrote a a PhD thesis on marine animals that was later published in a government report). --Aka042 (talk) 09:00, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
Hi
Dont give me a false warning. Creed are not, were not, and never will be hard rock, so thats why that was removed. I added back Christian rock, because it's verifiable, and the band themselves have admitted it. Please don't vandalise the page again. Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.185.220.4 (talk) 01:55, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
- Hi, I reverted your edit because you replaced a comment instructing not to insert christian rock (per the article's talk:Creed (band)) page with your own comment not to insert hard rock. I encourage you to add to the article's discussion regarding your opinion on the Christian rock classification. --Aka042 (talk) 02:13, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

I'm attempting to bring neutrality to this section. The section is skewed toward a far right opinion. I think the lack of balance is glaringly evident, don't you? It even states that "contrary to...", but it doesn't offer exactly what the consensus opinion is. I'll work on the section and have better sources. Considering the 1920's as an era of big government might even be considered a fringe opinion. I'll leave it alone though. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.124.70.112 (talk) 03:47, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

Cranial nerve mnemonic
I redid the addition of the cranial nerve mnemonic which was deemed unconstructive. Half the mnemonics on there are dirty and those are the ones people remember. Wikipedia is not necessarily child friendly and if there is a good addition that is no dirtier than the ones below it (like the ones talking about "touching virgin girls vaginas and hymens" for example) then it should stay. I appreciate your concern for the quality of the page, but lets face it, anyone who is studying the cranial nerves is probably out of middle school, so just let it stand.

tribes 2 necrosis
i'd just like to know why exactly the tribes 2 necrosis link was removed from the external links section on the tribes 2 article. the link was not an advertisement, it does not violate any of your terms, and it provides resources to the tribes 2 community in excess of several of the other links that are in that section, several of which are no longer working or active. If you chose not to restore my link to the external links page, then i would kindly request that you at least judge each of the other links in that section with equal criteria as you have judged mine. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.96.153.145 (talk) 04:58, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
- Hi, I removed your link per WP: External Links, especially because your description (Play Tribes 2 for free, join or host your own server) read as an avertisement. I only rv'd the page because I came across it while patrolling the Recent Changes page. I have no knowledge of the other external links, however you are free to edit and remove any links that you believe do not pertain to the aforementioned policy. --Aka042 (talk) 05:05, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
Clive Peeters page
Hi Aka042. I was wondering why you removed information from the Clive Peeters page that was a copy from opur company website www.clivepeeters.com.au? This information was put onto the Wikipedia page of Clive Peeters by me (an employee of the company). Thanks, Wags05 (Matt) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wags05 (talk • contribs) 01:05, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
- Hi, I removed the information that you added to the Clive Peeters page per WP:SOAP, especially 5. advertising. The content you added did not read in an objective and unbiased manner. Furthermore, directly copying information from external web sites is discouraged and often in violation of copyright laws. I apologize for my delayed response. --Aka042 (talk) 23:49, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

Your request for rollback
After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback can be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback may be removed at any time.
If you no longer want rollback, then contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some information on how to use rollback, you can view this page. I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, just leave me a message if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. MODMYLIFE and Game Show In My Head
Instead of blocking why don't you check out Modmylife and see that the new Kutcher gameshow is a copy of the hit website.
In addition check out some of the press we received. Google it.
www.techcrunch.com/tag/modmylife —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jasonwilderevans (talk • contribs)
- Hi, I had reverted your edits per WP:SPAM, particulary "External link spamming". Furthermore, on some edits you had added them to inappropriate sections, such as the references section when you hadn't referenced anything. If you can find a source that says the gameshow is a copy off the web site then please go ahead and readd it. Otherwise it looks like your links are just being added to generate traffic to the site. I won't revert any more of your edits though and have asked for a second opinion. --Aka042 (talk) 23:47, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

hi. paradise coyote here. it feels like your message was automatically generated, so i'm not sure how to respond quite yet. as you may know, i'm a new user and am doing my best to follow criteria. the set-up of wikipedia is a little odd. many editing steps do not seem to follow a logical a-b-c progression, but i'm sure i'll figure out its quirks eventually. if you have time for a short direct reply, that would be nice. thanks. i'll do my best. For more information, you may want to check out WP:Notability and WP:Citations. If you add the sources let me know and I'll remove the speedy tag (or I'm sure someone else will). In addition, I've added the hang-on tag to the article so wikipedia administrators know you are still working on it. Thanks and feel free to let me know if you need anymore help! --Aka042 (talk) 19:55, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

- No problem and no bother at all. When you are referencing sources in your article, you will use the <ref> tags. However, all this does is add a superscript where ever the ref tag is. In order to actually be able to see the references, make a section at the end of the article with the title References, and then type the following: {{reflist}}. This just tells wikipedia to go through all the references you have added and make a list of them. That way, you don't have to do it yourself. Let me know if you still need help and I will show you an example on one of your articles. --Aka042 (talk) 20:19, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

Hi! Ok can you please look at the article: Yodit Getahun ? a 3rd opinion would be most welcomed to stop vandalism and have a NPOV article on her Misskobe (talk) 21:41, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
- Hi, while I do not feel very comfortable commenting on the article, because it is by no means anywhere near my area of 'expertise', (and furthermore the conversation on the talk page is very difficult to follow due to formatting issues), the one major issue I see is the sources being used as references in the article and in the discussion. I would highly suggest that you take a look at WP:Verifiability, which discusses sources that should and should not be used on Wikipedia. In particular, the policy states: articles should rely on reliable, third-party published sources with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy. The sources being used on this page most likely do not fall under this category (especially the ones from tripod web sites). Therefore, I would encourage you to seek out more reliable data from sources that have no vested interest in the subject and are known for fact-checking, such as newspapers, etc. Other than that, I am sorry that I cannot be of more assistance. --Aka042 (talk) 22:11, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

hi. i would be grateful for any input you can give me on my latest entry -john pfeiffer. thanks.Paradise coyote (talk) 19:37, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
- Hey, the article looks excellent! The one suggestion I have is that your <ref> tags should appear right after the sentence you are citing. As an example, if I were to write an article that said 'Clifford the dog is red' and had the book called "Clifford the Big Red Dog" as my reference, my article would look like this: Clifford the dog is red<ref>Clifford the Big Red Dog</ref>. This way, anyone reading that sentence in the article will know exactly what source backs-up the sentence. Other than that, everything looks very good. Great job! --Aka042 (talk) 21:37, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
- thanks very much for the input. it is very helpful. i see what i've been doing wrong and i'm learning the editing methods by checking other entries. i'll try to tighten things up. cheers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Paradise coyote (talk • contribs) 21:47, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
I want to delete the two old versions of a photo I took and uploaded please
Hi, I would like to delete the two older versions of the following photo which I took and then uploaded. Could you please delete them for me or tell me how to delete them. I just want to keep the latest version of the photo. All have the same file name: File:Bridgnorth Grammar School - 'Old Grammer School' Building.JPG Thanks for your help, OldBridgnorthian (talk) 21:39, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
- Hi, unfortunately, the deletion of old revisions of an image is very rare, and can only be done by a select few users on Wikipedia in very special circumstances. For more information, check out WP:Oversight. There should really be no need to delete the old revisions however, as only the most recent one is displayed whenever the image is included in an article. If you don't mind, why would you like the revisions deleted? --Aka042 (talk) 21:53, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
- Hi, I want the two older versions deleted because the two earlier versions are the same as the latest, except that one is a larger size and the other I forgot to click the licence choice. If someone goes to the Bridgnorth Endowed School site, then click on the picture they see the two older versions and it looks a bit messy. This was the first picture I had attempted to upload to Wikipedia having only just joined and I was still working out how to upload when I put in the two earlier versions.
OldBridgnorthian (talk) 14:31, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
- Don't worry about it. This is a standard feature of Wikipedia and is done with almost all content added to the wiki (check out the history tab on any article). Lol Wikipedian.
Where do i read on your page
Speedy deletion of Stephen Salter
Stephen Salter easily meets the notability criteria, but the stub created by user:Andrewjlockley was deletion-quality. Is there some way we could get such stubs up to standards, and the newbies who make them educated about it, without having to go through a create/delete edit war? Dan Wylie-Sears 2 (talk) 22:19, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
- Hey, I have no problem with how the article is now (thanks!)... just the version I nominated for CSD, in my opinion, showed no grounds for notability whatsoever. --Aka042 (talk) 22:41, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
- I agree that it didn't, and I said on the talk page that it was deletable the way he posted it. This is the first time I've tried to help on getting a newbie to get with the program, and I was cautious when I was a newbie myself (used the sandbox, started out on non-controversial subjects, etc.), so I haven't been through clueless-newbie hassle before from either side. So this is probably my own newbie-ness showing, but it seems as though there has to be a better way. I understand that for you, presumably looking through recent changes rather than finding it because of interest in the subject area, there was no way of telling it from a non-notable bio. I also understand that user:Andrewjlockley has been a less-than-ideal newbie so far. But I also find it understandable that he posted "stop deleting this page!" on the talk page, for example. I'm not motivated enough to really jump into the ongoing meta discussions I'm sure I could find if I looked for them, but enough for a bite-sized amount of talk about it here. Thanks. e-Seva deletion request
Let's understand the concept behind the [e-seva]. It is an Government initiative which is successful in Two cities and one district in India and it plan to extend the services to all over the state. On successful of this project, it might be extended to all other states in India.
For more information on e-Seva, please refer link http://www.esevaonline.com/htmlpages/abouteSeva.htm
I may be new to wiki and don't know how to write article. But I just want one article on this concept which may help many governments to serve the people online and save lot of money of people.
If you get convinced, please recover the old content, add remove all content which is irrelevant.
And one more info, whenever, you find inappropriate ariticle, try to take concept and remove other content. Please do not delete the entire article. Because, I have spent some time on this.
Jayaram (talk) 16:14, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
- Hi, Please note that I did not delete the article, but rather nominated for speedy deletion. An administrator will still have to review the article and then decide whether or not it should be deleted.
- I nominated the article for deletion because it contained only the word 'test', to which Criteria for Speedy Deletion G2 applies. I just checked the page again and it seems that you have now replaced all content and just added a {{hangon}} tag. I am going to readd the speedy deletion tag as creators of the page should not remove the tags themselves.
- Please also note that I had nothing to do with the previous deletion of the page. According to the page's deletion log, user:Jimfbleak deleted the page because it was considered to be blatant advertising (WP:CSD_G11#G11). I need some help translating this French into English
I saw that you are a translator on the French Translation page. If it's not too much of an inconvenience, could you please translate this following paragraph into English for me. It was written in Old French by Casimir Pulaski, a general fighting for the Americans in the Revolutionary War. Thank you.

- Hi, no problem, I've given it my best shot... I am by no means a native speaker and still very much studying the language so I must warn you that some parts of this translation may be completely off the mark!
- The party near Germantown that your excellency has ordered me to assemble must be replaced by the militiamen of this province/state. The governor has been entertaining me up to now, he must still take the advice to give the last resolution so that the delay does not come from me and if it will be necessary, this assembly of our Calvary, it will create a very strong belief that the enemy has already taken an initiative and knows all the surroundings and our weakness will find the means to break our Calvalry, discourage us a lot and embolden the enemy. I have already suggested to your excellency that it would be better to retreat our hold to a distance and keep different parts of the militia on different roads where they will be stationed. Behind and closer to the enemy line and its patrols, we will even be able to add to each party 3 or 5 horse mounted militiamen, this would not be difficult. There are few militiamen that do not.. their horses, and each one prefers riding on a horse to walking, I await your excellency's orders.

Thank You.
Thank you very much for translating. That was a big help. Often times it hard to get people willing to translate. Thanks for the help.

Hi.
Im VERY new to this, and so my editing skills etc arent quite those of a more 'seasoned' contributor...
Ive posted some detail re the band 'DRESSED TO KILL' which I think U gave some pointers re notability etc - Im hoping their longevity, and history (backed with references to magazines and tv network coverage/features) is sufficient to allow this posting to stand.

- Hi, I would recommend checking out WP:BAND which lists the criteria for including a musical group in Wikipedia. Specifically, you should find third party, reliable sources such as news articles (not the band's homepage or myspace page) and include these in the Wikipedia article to establish notability. --Aka042 (talk) 07:35, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
CSD Tag
I think you may have placed the wrong CSD tag on Template:Test89i1. Maybe you meant to do the tag for redirects to a non-existent page? But from the page's history it seems it was only recently redirected... Killiondude (talk) 08:23, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
Pardon me, but you're not paying attention when you're tagging pages. I found another page you tagged incorrectly--Ftre. Granted, it should probably be deleted, but not by the CSD tag you placed on it. In fact, speedy deletion probably doesn't work with this, so I'm going to PROD it. Killiondude (talk) 08:38, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
- For some reason Twinkle tagged the template redirect as a talk page. Sorry, my mistake. Second one, I tagged correctly. It was deleted by an administrator for the CSD reason I gave it... A1, no context. --Aka042 (talk) 05:15, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
- Eh. I disagree with the A1 thing. It was a full on research essay and it clearly stated a thesis (it literally said Thesis:) but I'm glad it was deleted nonetheless. Sorry for my tone in my previous post. I was beginning to think you were a negligent user. My bad. Killiondude (talk) 05:26, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
Speedy Deletion of Dressed to Kill
Im not sure how much more supporting detail I can leave, it is MY band, afterall, hence knowing then whens and wheres - almost all detail can be checked and verified, and electronic copies of the print media made to prove it.
Id like to contest the deletion on the grounds that MY band has an unrivalled history and contribution, as is noteworthy specifically because it is NOT a tribute band from the 'home' country of the band we pay tribute to, but from the country where the 'original' band took its major influences from - Led Zeppelin, Slade, The Who, Pretty Things, etc etc etc, ie. the UK.
The criteria on which the deletion was based isnt correct, as surely the amount of 'fact' I have is sufficient -i do recall there being mention of deletion being waived if such proof of broadcast etc be there - clearly, it IS.
And as regards 'copyright', I own it - its my band. --PunkFunkJunk (talk) 19:16, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
- Hi, I had only tagged the article with a few cleanup tags, so I am not really involved with the speedy deletion at all. According to the article logs, it was deleted by the administrator user:Mfield. I would recommend getting in touch with him about the issue.

New user
Hello! I saw your name on the adopter wiki page and you mentioned you might be willing to answer question time permitting. I'm a really new user, I created an account to participate in a discussion (Xfce page marked for deletion) and recently made an edit. If you have the time, and I understand if you don't, could you make sure I did it correctly? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Effects_of_nuclear_explosions_on_human_health#Gastrointestinal_death. I changed a word that I believe was used incorrectly ("electorate" in lieu of "elecrolyte"). Much appreciated! Oliviervdst (talk) 16:35, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
- Hi, everything looks good! The only thing I would recommend is to use edit summaries whenever you make an edit... they are not required, but often appreciated by other users who may need to see the article's history. --Aka042 (talk) 14:58, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
- Excellent- I did not know about that and I'll make sure I do so next time. Thanks for the information! Oliviervdst (talk) 17:52, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
Oldish user becoming more active
Hello there, I saw your name on the adopter wiki page and I would like to become more active in tiding pages and reverting vandelism. At the moment I manually look at pages that I think may be a target for vandels and if I find a vandelised page I quietly revert it to the last known good version. Perhaps you could teach me some methods to do this more efficiently. I look forward to hearing from you soon Charles Worland (talk) 10:15, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
- Hi, there are a number of tools that can help you with vandalism fighting. I would recommend that you check out CAT:CVT, which is a list of tools that can be used to help you revert vandalism more quickly. I personally use WP:Twinkle and WP:Huggle, however Huggle requires that you have the Rollback permission. You can request that at WP:Requests for permission. Note however that administrators will first need to see that you have had a history of capable vandalism fighting before they are likely to issue you the permission. Hope this helped! --Aka042 (talk) 14:54, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
article "house negro"
hello Aka042. i added some links to this orphaned article and a reference. im new to wikipedia and want to ask before i think of removing the tags, one of which you added . do you think i did enough? and, should this article be merged with uncle tom? i dont think so, but im open to influence. thanks in advance for any help you can grant me. with all respect, fellow citizen, Mercurywoodrose (talk) 08:48, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
- Hi, and sorry for the delay in my response. I added the tag while on newpages patrol per the Wikipedia policy WP:NEO. My concern is not really with the adequacy of the article's content, but rather the subject itself. I do believe that it should be merged into another article, but not quite sure which one. That being said, I really have no vested interest in the article so if you feel that the word meets the Neologisms criteria then feel free to be bold and remove my tag. Thanks! --Aka042 (talk) 00:21, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
- hmm, you may be accurate in your idea of merging. i may look into that myself. but i do feel that this is a valid word, and will probably remove the tag, then query others about merging. thanks Mercurywoodrose (talk) 03:06, 12 March 2009 (UTC)
Learning how to create new pages and editting those with less than adequate imformation
mainly i want to learn how to make a new page its more difficult than other web encyclopedias where they give you a layout to follow or allow you to make your own... wiki as far as i can see just leaves you with a blank page and no layouts or basic knowledge as to how to make one. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ginirohonou (talk • contribs) 13:38, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
- Hello, I think your best bet would be to check out the article Wikipedia:Your_First_Article, which should serve as a good primer for creating your first article. If you still have trouble after reading that, then just let me know and I'll try to help you out. --Aka042 (talk) 00:15, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
sorry i dont know how to do this talkback thing and i just wanted to say thanks and im going to check out that article later :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ginirohonou (talk • contribs) 13:39, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
