You are welcome to continue editing without logging in, but many editors recommend that you create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits such as the ability to create articles. For a full outline and explanation of the benefits that come with creating an account, please see this page. If you edit without a username, your IP address (72.38.193.194) is used to identify you instead.
In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}}
before the question on this page. Again, welcome!
Editing and deleting
[edit]If you can see errors in Cristina Rémond, then you can be be bold and improve the article. The links above may help you; adding sources for statements is a particularly good way of helping. Your attempts to nominate the article for deletion didn't work, so I removed them - in fact, if the only problem is that she's not an anthropologist then that can be fixed through normal editing, and doesn't need deletion. [edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Please be aware of Wikipedia's policy that biographical information about living persons must not include unsupported or inaccurate statements. Whenever you add possibly controversial statements about a living person to an article or any other Wikipedia page, as you did to List of mayors of Hamilton, Ontario, you must include proper sources. If you don't know how to cite a source, you may want to read Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners for guidelines. Thank you. Jameboy (talk) 22:07, 22 April 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Chicago god. I noticed that you made a change to an article, List of mayors of Hamilton, Ontario, but you didn't provide a source. Your recent edits
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

[edit]Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, Mina Chang. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments are more appropriate for the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and respond to them, and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. However, keep in mind that even on the talk page of an article, you should limit your discussion to improving the article. Article talk pages are not the place to discuss opinions of the subject of articles, nor are such pages a forum. Thank you. – Gilliam (talk) 21:24, 13 November 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm LizardJr8. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Archaic—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. LizardJr8 (talk) 18:51, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
- Hello LizardJr8. I am new to pronunciations and literal translation markups on wikipedia. The term archaic has always had a connotation that emotionally expresses uncertainty, close to cryptic in meaning. I added the translations from Google Translate in Latin and Chinese. You also removed the first sentence and that is very constructive. Please add back the first sentence as it is well known that the word is in reference to geologic timespans and consider the translations also. 72.38.193.194 (talk) 18:58, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
