Thank you for uploading File:Fedora hat.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Image Screening Bot (talk) 02:06, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

It's pretty clear to me that you took this picture yourself, so all you need do is add a copyright tag. The ones that can be used by image creators such as yourself can be found at WP:ICTIC. If you'd like any advice on which one to select or how to add it to the image page, feel free to leave me a message. --~TPW 03:08, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

User:Senra/Little Thetford flesh-hook

I've sorted that lot out; Little Thetford flesh-hook. See User_talk:Senra#Little_Thetford_flesh-hook. Cheers,  Chzz  ►  18:14, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

Oops, yes, my bad. Now, moved to User:Senra/Little Thetford flesh-hook. Redirects will be sorted out.
Yes, usually, userspace articles should be in "User:NAME/WHATEVER", not "User talk:NAME/WHATEVER", but it doesn't really matter. Both works, the only problem being that when you move a "User:" page, it will move the associated talk page too, unless you uncheck the thingy.
Again, I'm really sorry for any confusion. I hope it's now OK. It's in Serena's userspace, and it you need any more help, please ask. Chzz  ►  18:23, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
My userspace? do you mean Senra's? And I wasn't the one that did the {{helpme}}... :) Maybe you should place that message on Senra's talk page instead Chzz. Mr. R00t Talk 18:26, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

Thank you!

Thank you for your help on archiving my talk page.I'm configuring according to what you said. But how can i make a search box for searching messages on my talk page?

Speedy deletion declined: Mid Buchanan

Hello 1234r00t. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Mid Buchanan, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: There is sufficient context to identify the subject of the article. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 00:40, 4 July 2010 (UTC)

CPI Mediation

Hello, I have been reviewing some of the older cases over at MebCab, and would like to know the status of the CPI mediation that you are/were conducting. Ronk01 (talk) 13:06, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

Well, the status of CPIM is still open, there is a disagreement and it seems that Soman may be using meatpuppets to get his way. I have seen messages from him and Viplovecom on other users talk pages saying stuff like, "Help! User:Deshabhakta is trying to push his goals on article CPIM." Neither party is completely right so I'm leaning towards Deshabhakta's ideas. Your help would be er... helpful. Mr. R00t Talk 17:55, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

Ok, How can I help? Ronk01 (talk) 17:59, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

Go ahead and read through the past discussions and see if you can figure out a solution. We are currently talking at Talk:Communist Party of India (Marxist). Mr. R00t Talk 18:01, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

I am seeing some serious personal attacks here, this needs to sent to AN/I if they continue. Ronk01 (talk) 03:45, 29 June 2010 (UTC)

Who are these personal attacks Mr. R00t Talk 04:16, 29 June 2010 (UTC)

Well, some of the statements made regarding User:Deshabhakta are, for lack of a better word, outright egregious, you might try warning them, I've dealt with this on a few other mediations in the past. Ronk01 (talk) 05:38, 29 June 2010 (UTC)

Unfortunately we've had a discussion about the use of the warning templates after User:Soman warned me after the first time I wrote anything. I had written something like: "Alright, I don't really no what the problem is but I have taken the position of mediator." He reverted and level 4 warned me for vandalism... I'll try talking to a sysop about this. Mr. R00t Talk 16:52, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
Could you show the edit diff where I've issued a 'level 4' warning? To my knowledge, I haven't edited the this talk page before. --Soman (talk) 20:00, 3 July 2010 (UTC)
It may be that it was Viplovecomm that did that, I'll provide the diff if I can find it. Mr. R00t Talk 20:18, 3 July 2010 (UTC)

Ok, you need to mention this on AN/I, or talk to ArbCom. If the article is under probation, or has sanctions, you can have an uninvolved admin topic ban the two violent editors. Ronk01 talk, 15:48, 30 June 2010 (UTC)

Alright thanks. As I had never done this before I wasn't sure of the procedure. I'll talk to HJ Mitchell about it as well as starting a thread at AN/I. Thanks for the help. Mr. R00t Talk 16:39, 30 June 2010 (UTC)

Not a problem, I am always happy to help. Ronk01 talk, 19:55, 30 June 2010 (UTC)

Could you give me 2 examples of personal attacks by Vip and Soman? Ronk01 talk, 04:19, 5 July 2010 (UTC)

Picture

Thank you for your message about my picture (Alfonso Faustino). I'm very new to Wikipedia. Can you give me directions as to how to fix it?

Admin coaching

Hi, I can make some suggestions about what to do next. To persuade the community on your abilities as a potential admin, you will have to write some articles. Start writing a new article and provide all the major elements for it - text, wikification, references, categories, links from other articles. Even if you don't enjoy this, it is worth proving that you know what it takes. A 1000 edits on improving articles will look very good.

Also you will have to look trustworthy, so for example your userpage should not contain wrong things. An IQ of 198 sounds very suspect. This is over 6 standard deviations above average, how many fall into that rating?

With your programming skills you should be able to learn how to do templates and make a userbox.

And my last suggestion for today is to do some work with Categories, create a new category, and link articles to it. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 02:12, 7 July 2010 (UTC)

As for the 198 IQ there are very few people that fall into that range. I would be able to create userboxen if I really felt the need for it, but have not found anything to create a userbox about... As for creating articles, that is really the reason that I put my name down for the coaching. I'm really bad at it; as you can see by the stub userbox on my user page.
It seems that I've unfortunately ended up with the same IQ as a "bad person" who also has an IQ of 198. Believe me. I plan to be a good admin. Don't worry. I won't fake an ID to become a Check User or anything. Mr. R00t Talk 02:28, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
Even if you think you are bad at article creation, give it a go. Wikipedia is about its articles, so you should prove that you can make one! An admin candidate should try out many different aspects and writing articles is necessary to get a bit of empathy with those that do, or dhould be doing it instead of damaging things. If you are not confident, start with identifying a topic that is missing. WP:RA has requests if you can't think of any yourself. A userbox was just a simple template use, but you could go for another template of some other sort. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 02:36, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
Question: Does this help mean that you're going to coach me for administratorship? As for the userboxen & templates; how do you get the code to come up when you type {{name of template}}? This probably should be obvious but I do not yet understand it. With the articles. Don't deleted articles look really bad in an RfA? I'll give it a go but I'm unlikely to be one of those people who have an FA a month. Mr. R00t Talk 02:40, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
Yeah I am willing to do some coaching. I am not expecting you to make an article to FA status, but at least get an article to start class, and hopefully get one to B class. At this point I am suggesting that you start some articles, even a stub will do to prove that you can start one off. Don't worry, I have had the indignity of having my articles deleted. If you start a userspace draft it is much less likely to be deleted straight out! YOu have to be slightly brave here, don't be frightened before you start.
To see template code, go to Template:name of template and click on edit (or view if it is protected). Don't change and save unless you know what you are doing. You can also try out editing User:1234r00t/userbox and transclude it with {{User:1234r00t/userbox}} because if it can't find the thing with a template: prefix it will try without it. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 04:43, 7 July 2010 (UTC)

Thank You! Thank's for offering to help me out. I'll look at {{name of template}} and see the code. I hadn't even realized that it was a real template. Mr. R00t Talk 17:06, 7 July 2010 (UTC)

hmm... how do I get that image in? Would it be:

{{Userbox |image=[[File:Fedora hat.jpg]] |text=This user wheres a Fedora. }}? Mr. R00t Talk 17:16, 7 July 2010 (UTC)

Oh. I see. I've got it now. That ^ is not even close. Mr. R00t Talk 17:22, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
This is a list of userboxen I've made.

Userboxen made

. Mr. R00t Talk 17:28, 7 July 2010 (UTC)

Does that look good? I had a bit of a conversation with myself up above... :) Mr. R00t Talk 18:14, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
Well done, it looks as if you now have the hang of making a userbox and transcluding it!

But on to the more intimidating topic, have you picked a topic for your first article? Graeme Bartlett (talk) 22:27, 7 July 2010 (UTC)

I have actually made two (stub) articles already. I'm thinking about looking at the requests for creation on sculpture after my Violin Concert which is in 20 minutes. I'm just here for a sec. Mr. R00t Talk 22:49, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
I cannot figure out what pages they may be, they can't have been too recent. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 12:02, 12 July 2010 (UTC)

Hi there, I realise that you may have been concerned that User:Indiemon was a violation of the username policy. I personally don't think it's remotely offensive, and probably has to do with indie music. Additionally, there are no disruptive edits from that account or the ip it seems to be linked to. It's fine to report such names that you're not sure about, but it's probably best to tread a bit carefully when leaving warning messages on new users' talkpages; not the best first message for someone who will probably be a valuable contributer! I also wasn't sure what you meant about a bot marking the name incorrectly; as far as I can tell it was user reported, not bot reported. Anyway, keep up the good patrolling work, just be careful not to scare off the newcomers! Regards, --BelovedFreak 21:15, 11 July 2010 (UTC)

Bot reported at #cvn-wp-en-newusers on IRC. We get a live feed. Go ahead and remove that edit to User talk:Indiemon (or I will). Mr. R00t Talk 21:42, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
Hey, no harm done. Just something to be aware of in future. And thanks for the explanation. I didn't realise the filter came up on IRC; I never go on there. Cheers, --BelovedFreak 21:57, 11 July 2010 (UTC)

You're kidding, right?

Prove that this is PD, please. Thanks, fetch·comms 20:57, 12 July 2010 (UTC)

It clearly was not. I have deleted it. Any questions, please let me know. Jonathunder (talk) 22:31, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
Alright. Sorry, It looked like PD from the WP:Files for upload page. It probably should stay deleted. Mr. R00t Talk 04:55, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
