Haha :)
Hey, you don't know me but I was browsing the editors up for review and you were the first in the list. I got distracted by the way you type to yourself and found myself rather amused. Thats it really. It's Me(Speak to me)What have you done? 13:33, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
- Are you actually going to do the review or just comment on my talking to my self? I'm thinking about logging into IRC and spamming all the wikipedia related channels with: "DO MY EDITOR REVIEW!!!" It's already been there for around two weeks. I'm really not that upset I just would like to know what people think
- Just because you want it so bad I will do it for you :) I would request the favour also by doing my review. Thanks in advance. It's Me(Speak to me)

Vandalism warnings
Hi 1234r00t, please be careful about warning people for vandalism. this edit appears to be a good faith attempt to add an image to an article by someone who doesn't understand how to do that on Wikipedia. I have no idea what's going on with Total Drama World Tour, but these warnings seem excessive for what appear to be good faith edits. These edits look like an attempt to add more schools to a list, followed by this which you gave a level three warning for.
This edit is definitely not vandalism, it's an attempt to update an article, as I verified in 2 seconds by clicking on the official website: [1] I think I've asked you before to slow down a bit with these kinds of edits. This was just looking at your most recent edits from last night. Many of your reversions seem to be of new editors experimenting or making mistakes, or editors making controversial changes that may not be WP:NPOV, but also aren't blatant vandalism. Unfortunately, warning editors that are acting in good faith to improve Wikipedia may just make them not want to bother any more. You might want to read Wikipedia:Please do not bite the newcomers.--BelovedFreak 08:18, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
- I just revert with Igloo. It warns them for me. There is no way not to warn them. Sorry about some of my mistakes and I will try to slow down. Mr. R00t Talk 02:28, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
- Ok, I understand. The best thing to do, then is to not revert those kinds of edits with Igloo. You should only be "rolling back" edits that are blatant vandalism. That's part of the responsibility that comes with having the rollback capability. Look carefully at each edit you're going to undo, and if you're sure it needs to be undone, but it's not necessarily vandalism, then just use the manual "undo" button. Yes, vandalism is a big problem on Wikipedia, but these days there are many, many editors reverting it. Numbers of new editors wanting to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia are apparently declining, so we need to encourage those that do (even if they mess up a bit first) to stick around. You're obviously very motivated to help Wikipedia which is great. If you slow down a bit and look more carefully at recent changes, you can end being even more helpful, whether it's taking time to explain how to do something to the confused newbie, or noticing more subtle problem edits that don't necessarily come under "blatant vandalism". Keep up the good work (I mean that), but remember, "You are responsible for any actions your account performs with Igloo".--BelovedFreak 16:45, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
- I know that I'm responsible for anything I do with Igloo. I understand what you're saying but, it is just really hard to slow down. The recent changes are coming up really fast and I feel like I'm trying to clear a backlog or something. I know that there are probably about 1000 other editors doing exactly the same thing as me at the same time. Thanks for the warning/message. Have a nice day/evening/morning/afternoon. :) Cheers, Mr. R00t Talk 17:54, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
- Ok, one last comment about this because I realise I'm getting at you a bit! Maybe you should try not using Igloo for I bit. I know that might feel a bit frustrating to start with as it will be slower, and you'll feel like other vandal-fighters are beating you to it, but if you think about it- that's a good thing! The vandalism is being eliminated regardless of who does it. You might be able to catch the bad edits that fall through the cracks, the not-so-noticeable things. Have you tried Twinkle? I use that sometimes. I don't know how it compares as I don't know Igloo, but Twinkle lets you leave your own warnings. Anyway, whichever way you go about it, just be careful, because if you keep making lots of mistakes with it, you might end up having the rollback feature taken away altogether, which would not be much fun. Anyway, I'll leave you to it and stop going on about it! Have a good one, --BelovedFreak 20:25, 23 July 2010 (UTC)

Hi, regarding your reversion at [2], the file needs to be speedily deleted unless you tag it properly. It contains Wikipedia's logo (copyrighted) and several other content (the did you know, in the new icons, etc), that need to be licensed/attributed. I'm gonna undo your edition, please don't revert it again unless you do that. Thanks. Diego Grez what's up? 02:39, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
- Oh yeah. I forgot about those. You should probably also CSD F3 the two others (listed above) as they all include those icons. Mr. R00t Talk 02:42, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
- OK, tagged the last one, the first two ones reported by Sfan seem good to me, they don't show completely Wikipedia's logo and the Flag of England seems to be public-domained. Cheers and thanks for your response!, Diego Grez what's up? 02:44, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
- Later. Aren't you an admin? Just F3 them yourself. Mr. R00t Talk 02:46, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
- Em, no, I'm not an admin, but next time don't use rollback unless it is blatant vandalism! or it could be removed. My edit was obviously not vandalism. Thanks. --Diego Grez what's up? 18:07, 24 July 2010 (UTC)

Dear 1234r00t, I submitted an article about Bill Thomas. This article is different from the one that already exists on Wikipedia. The previous Bill Thomas is a former congressman from California. My article is about Bill Thomas author and journalist, running for Congress in the MD 8th District in 2010. Please post the article on Wiki and let me know how I can upload an image.
Thank you very much, Arctic2012 (talk) 02:43, 26 July 2010 (UTC) Arctic2012
Your WP:AFC work
Hi r00t, just a quick 'Hi' and also to point something out :)
On your AFC work, every time you decline/hold a request, you are duplicating the AFC template at the top of the page, thus not really doing anything as it remains in the pending queue; I've had to fix a couple of them recently is why i'm posting.
Are you using a script to do AFC's, or are you just editing the page? I can recommend the AFCHelper script if your not, as it makes it quite easy to work with AFC's - Happysailor (Talk) 17:20, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
- I use a Macintosh and thus can't use AFCHelper (or can I?). So explain to me what I have to do. I have to add to the template that has the tag that says do not remove until page is created the D or H and my reason. Is that correct? Let me know Mr. R00t Talk 17:44, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
- Pretty much. atm you are adding in a whole other tag with the D/H and reason rather than editing the existing tag.
- All you need to do is edit the existing tag which should look like: {{AFC submission|||ts= so that it looks like (as an example) {{AFC submission|D|adv|ts=. Does that make sense? :) - Happysailor (Talk) 17:48, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, thank you. Is there anything similar to AfCHelper that works with Mac OS X? Mr. R00t Talk 17:50, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
- I have absolutely no idea i'm afraid - I'm a PC ... :) - Happysailor (Talk) 17:52, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
- That's fine. I'll just keep doing it the way I currently am or maybe bug Ale jrb to create something like Igloo for AfC... Cheers, Mr. R00t Talk 17:55, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

Your new motto
My motto to live by on Wikipedia... → AALST (n.) One who changes his name to be further to the front |
Here you go. :) Hopefully, this is close enough to vandalism for you. By the way, your editnotice has a redlink that I'm sure isn't intentional. ~~ Hi878 (Come shout at me!) 19:04, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
- What do you think of it? And by the way, you did mean to sign up to help, right? And that redlink in your editnotice is still there... I'll stop bugging you now. :) ~~ Hi878 (Come shout at me!) 20:01, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
- Hmm? I signed up to help? Oops... I can help if you need me to. As for the redlink I think I removed it. Mr. R00t Talk 20:05, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
- You put your name on the participants page. :) We probably don't need help, but you can leave that there if you ever want to. By the way, there is another redlink now. :P The one linking to your alternate talk page. And please, what do you think of the motto? Is it close enough to vandalism for you? ~~ Hi878 (Come shout at me!) 20:07, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

- Motto's great. I know about the redlink, trying to fix it. Mr. R00t Talk 20:08, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
- I've put in a new feature in the motto thing; you get to rate the mottos after you get them. I added a new parameter to the request template; you can just go edit the request section, it should be obvious. I thought this would be a good idea, just so that we could keep track of how well we're doing. :) If you'd take a moment to add that in, it would be fantastic. :) ~~ Hi878 (Come shout at me!) 20:54, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
Sorry to bother you again, but you must rate it with a single number. :) ~~ Hi878 (Come shout at me!) 21:46, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry, I went out to lunch for an hour. Thankfully Wikipedia didn't break from me not being here. :) I've rated it as a 3-4 which is not bad. Cheers Mr. R00t Talk 21:47, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you. I hope you enjoy your new motto! :) ~~ Hi878 (Come shout at me!) 21:58, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

First off, I've gotta say that is one of my favorite diffs ever. Also, do you think they are trying to make people believe they are vandalism fighters? They also has suspicious behavior with one page, see diffs on HJ's page. The one red flag for me was that they weren't autoconfirmed. Allmightyduck What did I do wrong? 19:05, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
- By their edits it looks like they are just putting up a vandal fighter front so that people won't revert them. Mr. R00t Talk 19:13, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
- I'm seeing more and more of that. Although, if their edits are blatant vandalism, that userpage doesn't stop me :). Allmightyduck What did I do wrong? 19:15, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
- In fact that one image would probably encourage me to block them (if I was an admin that is!). Mr. R00t Talk 20:00, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
