You changed the link from Pitchfork (website) to Pitchfork the hay-moving tool. Did you mean to do that? It was a wp:PIPE with this format: [[Pitchfork (website)|Pitchfork]]. The former is the target page and the later the text that appears. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 09:16, 16 December 2020 (UTC)

DYK for Black Focus

On 17 January 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Black Focus, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that after releasing their debut album Black Focus, the English band Yussef Kamaal was denied entry to the United States because one member's visa was revoked by the Trump administration? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Black Focus. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Black Focus), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (ie, 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Jamiroquai FAC

Hi 100cellsman! I don't think we'd spoken prior to our interaction on the FAC page. I'm KyleJoan. Pleased to make your acquaintance! I took a deep dive into the Jamiroquai article and came out with broad, criteria-related qualms that would be inappropriate to address as part of the FAC process. I'm not sure whether my familiarity with the band had something to do with this, but I believe it would be better for me to refrain from commenting than write something that is not going to benefit the nomination. Please accept my sincerest apologies. Good luck! KyleJoantalk 07:28, 27 June 2021 (UTC)

No problem at all. Thanks for you consideration! 웃OO 07:36, 27 June 2021 (UTC)

Leah LaBelle peer review

Hello again. I hope you are doing well and staying safe. I have recently rewritten the Leah LaBelle article and put it up for a peer review with an eye toward a FAC. While I'm experienced with the FAC process, this would my first FAC with a biographical article I am less confident about that. Since you handled the GAN review, could you possibly help with the peer review? I understand if you do not have the time or interest. I am currently trying to track down some more images of LaBelle to fill out the bare spaces in the articles. I hope you have a great week! Aoba47 (talk) 21:31, 28 June 2021 (UTC)

I could look it over again. I just don't know if I'll offer anything new because the issues I would have may be already addressed in the GA review. 웃OO 23:52, 28 June 2021 (UTC)
  • Thank you for the response and that makes sense. It would be ideal to get different editors who can provide a new perspective on the article, but I still wanted to at least reach out to you since you did the GA review. I am in no rush with this so I will be leaving the peer review up for a while to hopefully get as much feedback as possible. I get quite impatient sometime with Wikipedia and I am working on being better with that. Aoba47 (talk) 01:31, 29 June 2021 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on File:Tobysmith.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file from a commercial source (e.g. Associated Press, Getty Images), where the file itself is not the subject of sourced commentary. If you can explain why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please add the appropriate fair use tag and rationale.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Thank you today for the article "about the English funk and acid jazz band Jamiroquai. They are well known for their music video of "Virtual Insanity" and the song "Canned Heat", the latter which appeared in Napoleon Dynamite. My previous attempts to nominate the article in 2019 failed and understandably so, as it had cluttered writing and excessive detail, but has now improved in comparison. I've worked on this since 2018, which has been challenging but rewarding, as I've learned alot from it. This article is in hopes that it will represent the band's artistry and success above all the tabloids and sensationalism that overshadowed them."! - Your first, I believe?
