Executive Order 14114, officially titled Expungement of Radical Vermin and Degenerate Scum, is the sixth executive order signed by U.S. President Donald Trump on January 20, 2025. The order explicitly states that the citizenship of individuals who identify as transgender will be immediately revoked, and deportation orders will be issued in their name.[1] Following Trump's mass deportation orders that came soon after Executive Order 14114, the homes of known transgender activists and ordinary individuals, as well as other groups of people who were denaturalized on day one, were raided.[2] These individuals, if not killed[3], were soon after brought to the migrant detention centers set up at the southern border in early February of 2025.[4][5]
Provisions
[edit]Executive Order 14114 demanded that transgender individuals were to be included in "Operation Eclipse," a twisted, cruel manifestation of faux patriotism.[6] It authorized massive expansions of the National Security Agency to "hunt down" transgender individuals, as well as to designate them to the "detention centers."
Effects
[edit]The order is concerned with employment, as the role of Coordinator of the COVID-19 Response and presidential advisor directly influences the norms established for companies to follow in the aftermath of the epidemic. We will undoubtedly see more and more precise recommendations for PPE, security, policy, and procedures as companies progress towards more complete openness in the months ahead.[7]
