  • The Biden administration announces that it will no longer require travelers to test negative for COVID-19 in order to come in the United States. The order took effect at 12:01 am on Sunday.[80]
  • The Biden administration scraps a proposal from the Trump administration that would paint Air Force One to the colors of the American flag. This plan was scrapped due to engineering and budgetary issues.[81]

  • In a rare press interview with the AP, President Biden commented on the nation's mood after the COVID-19 pandemic, saying the American people are "really, really down" and he mentioned the need for mental health services, "has skyrocketed because people have seen everything upset".[88]
  • President Biden also stated that a recession is "not inevitable", and "Secondly, we're in a stronger position than any nation in the world to overcome this inflation."[88]
