Tony The Tiger interpretation: Freedom of expression does not exist unless freedom of expression is protected when and where the audience exists.

User Creations

[edit]

Below is a fairly complete list of the content that I have created for Wikipedia. It includes a lot of content related to the City of Chicago (where I live) and the University of Michigan athletics. I have also done a lot of work in The arts including creating WP:VA Campbell's Soup Cans (level 4) as well as Drowning Girl, Demi's Birthday Suit and Misty Copeland (all level 5 as of September 5, 2023). I was also the main editor although not the page creator of Whaam! and Cloud Gate (both level 5). I would say the highlight of my Chicago work was the Millennium Park WP:FT. The highlight of my Michigan articles is being the primary biographer of 13 of the 14 2010s decade Michigan Wolverines who made the NBA that decade (Manny Harris, Darius Morris, Tim Hardaway Jr., Trey Burke, Glenn Robinson III, Mitch McGary, Nik Stauskas, Caris LeVert, D. J. Wilson, Derrick Walton, Duncan Robinson, Jordan Poole, and Ignas Brazdeikis – missing Moe Wagner). I have also spent a lot of time on templates of WP:VA (level 4) subjects. Although I am the page creator of the article for only one of them, I have created many templates for WP:VA subjects. Also, I have created the majority of the multimedia templates for the works of several of the WP:VA-listed authors. E.g., of the 38 Shakespeare's plays, I have created the multimedia templates for 21 of them and was the driving force for the completion of that set of templates. I would say the highlight of my templating are the WP:VA multipmedia templates for the likes of (level 3 authors) Leo Tolstoy and William Shakespeare, as well as (level 4 authors) Fyodor Dostoyevsky (formerly level 3), Ernest Hemingway (formerly level 3), Franz Kafka (formerly level 3), Edgar Allan Poe (formerly level 3), Honoré de Balzac, Charles Dickens, Hans Christian Andersen, Oscar Wilde, H. G. Wells, Brothers Grimm, Mark Twain, Alexandre Dumas, Alexander Pushkin, Euripides, Anton Chekhov, Jane Austen, Ovid, H. P. Lovecraft, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Thomas Hardy, Henrik Ibsen, Victor Hugo, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Jack London, Herman Melville, Charles Perrault, Astrid Lindgren, Joseph Conrad, Henry James, James Joyce and Nikolai Gogol as well as level 5 authors Edgar Rice Burroughs, Frances Hodgson Burnett and Aesop (formerly level 4) as well as non-vital A. J. Cronin.[1]

  1. ^ This is a listing of the subset of authors with at least three works that are significant enough to have sufficient encyclopedic content to justify templates and for whom I have created the strict majority (more than half) of such works templates. There are a couple of authors for whom I have created exactly half of their templates (including) Robert Louis Stevenson 2/4 and Enid Blyton 3/6, both level 4) Although I include authors on this list if I have created 2 out of 3 of their works templates, I do not include them if I have created 2 out of 2 of their works templates. Authors for which I am the 2/2 status include the following: (level 3) Homer, (level 4) Geoffrey Chaucer, Pierre Corneille, Gustave Flaubert, Nizami Ganjavi, Maxim Gorky, Federico García Lorca, Guy de Maupassant, Arthur Miller, Molière, Jean Racine, Henryk Sienkiewicz, John Steinbeck, and Alfred, Lord Tennyson (level 5) Truman Capote, Wilkie Collins, Aldous Huxley, Maurice Maeterlinck, and W. Somerset Maugham (non-vital) Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay, H. Rider Haggard, and Ira Levin. I should also note that operatic and musical works authors do not seem to retain works templates on their bio pages. I don't understand why. However, I have also created 3 works templates for (level 3) Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and 2 apiece for (level 4) Richard Wagner, Giuseppe Verdi and Gilbert and Sullivan (level 5) Cole Porter and E. T. A. Hoffmann (who is listed as vital as a writer)
  2. ^ Technically Jetpackfireman predated me at the incorrectly spelled page name. I.E., I created my Jesse White Tumbling Team page and then when attempting to create redirects noticed a Jessie [sic] White Tumblers page.
  3. ^ had been a redirect to Michigan Avenue (Chicago).
  4. ^ had been a redirect to List of ice hockey linemates after having been a stub for a while.
  5. ^ I only technically created this page. I was truly salvaging encyclopedic introductory information created by another editor from a category that failed WP:CFD.
  6. ^ I created a Category named Painting Series. It has been replaced with a category named Painting series.
