Independent Pictures
[edit]This article was deleted for independent pictures. Due to the nature of Warner Independent pictures article i would like it deleted since it is identical to mine that was deleted. Or is there a difference since they are part of a multi million dollar empire ? Techneeks (talk)
Yes that does help a little bit. So if i were to provide a list of films we host and participate in, would it then be more "notable" ? Techneeks (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 23:48, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

Key words "Plastic Lumber redirect"
[edit]Hello, I noticed that the keywords Plastic Lumber get a redirect to Wood-plastic composite. This is not correct. In the world of plastic lumber you have a few subclassifications. Composite plastic lumber would be a subclass of plastic lumber. The term plastic lumber would describe a product made of 100% plastic not a composite. So I would like to create an article for key words "Plastic lumber". Is this doable ? Techneeks (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 21:43, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Thanks for your clarification. Actually we are collecting various information and pictures from the various sources. Personally I am a librarian and M S Khan is the father of the Library and Information Science Disciplene of Bangladesh, so we are closly relating with his family. Not only that, all of the editors of Bangladesh are trying to contribute in wikipedia, without any benefit, we are writing by our name, and we are not demanding our credit. But we are trying to something better. But my observation, some of the editors are deleting various entries or pictures without any clarification. As I know you are an administrator, please see this matter. Sorry for if any inconveniance.--Librarianpmolib (talk) 11:00, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Hello SGGH
Once again I am sorry to bother you with vandalism its just that an article I created has been wiped of its content and when I try to undo it, It says "This edit can not be undone" Even though no edit wars have occured your help would be much appreciated. Yeah I noticed the sudden influx of that, but I dont really have many people I am enemies with on here I mean yeah ok I've had a few revert wars but nothing bad, mostly settled after a day or so. And another thing is Law Enforcment articles which I edit and in some cases have created only make up a small portion of the huge Wiki. Police,Mad,Jack (talk · contribs) 18:12, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

Pee Tern's LE talk page?
[edit]SGGH,
For my edification: On Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Law Enforcement/Pee Tern's discussion the Project Page tab page does not exist. Is this correct? Should it be the Law Enforcement WikiProject? Pee Tern (talk) 06:25, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

- Sorry but being new to this perhaps I am missing something? I do know about Wikipedia:WikiProject Law Enforcement. I was assuming that there would be a link in Wikipedia:WikiProject Law Enforcement somewhere to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Law Enforcement/Pee Tern's discussion and others, so that people coming from that direction would find it. Or, have I just not looked far enough / properly yet ? Pee Tern (talk) 22:06, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
Also, is there a "map" anywhere of "all" LE articles, templates, and categories, even if not a topography at least a topology? Pee Tern (talk) 22:06, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
Ready, set, go ?!
The silence has been deafening. No one has even whispered a hint of an issue regarding the removal of Federal police, National police, or Civil police, either on the talk page you set up or the respective talk pages. Do I need to do anything else before I start to dismantle and redirect them? The ones with very long lists are going to take me a while to do. Should I set up a "How to in the mean time" on the pages to allow editors to add more relevant agencies in the new way? Pee Tern (talk) 05:31, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

Thank you very much sir, as indeed, I made an error in deleting these pages. I will address this other issue at a later time when this little snit isn't in such a mood to upset other people. He just can't leave things alone.. It's either his way or the highway. . And as I told him, people don't come here to add to Wikipedia just to get upset. And User talk:TenPoundHammer has a history of doing just that... I've written close to a 1,000 pages here on Wikipedia over the past year or so as a way of relaxing and getting away a bit from the technical world I work and live in..... and I was doing a favor for a friend I'll just tell her some little snot-nosed brat is just making it a bitch to do .. You may also wish to counsel User talk:TenPoundHammer on his use of pseudo-profanity when discussing items. The phrase "...NOT FREAKING NOTABLE...." and "...he doesn't wanna leave the damn redirects alone ..." are not phrases that are civil or professional.. as he presumes to be...

Mount Ephraim, Vermont page deletion
[edit]Hi there - I just wanted to comment on your nomination for deletion of the Mount Ephraim, Vermont page. I grew-up on this mountain, and just because something doesn't have lots of google-hits doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. In fact, it seems as thought he best things are those without many google hits. Someone deleted a wikipedia entry on my career as a stage magician for the same reasons, though my career had existed before the age of google. Angry, —Preceding unsigned comment added by User:Agamus:Agamus
I'm not sure if it's appropriate for an editor (admin or otherwise) to delete a page whilst there is an ongoing AfD discussion that they have contributed to, especially when they are the original nominator. In this case the discussion had lasted less than an hour and although it seems clear that it was headed for deletion I don't think that gives enough time for the community to view the discussion, look for sources, contribute and form a consensus. I request that you undelete the page, and let the discussion be reopened and relisted for another editor to close in due course. Regards, Guest9999 (talk) 12:53, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

deletion of "Institute for Sustainable Communication"
[edit]Hello
I'm the instructor of an English class assigned in pairs and threes to produce Wikipedia articles. These articles are or should all be noted as Under Construction. The one mentioned here has been submitted by students who've retitled and reconceived their article. Here are my comments to them:
"You've appropriately changed your topic to the Institute for Sustainable Communication. Create a new article with that title, copy in the material you have, including the under construction code. First copy these notes into a word document or better yet onto the discussion page for the new article. Then delete the other articles you've started and start revising.
1.Redo your initial definition to fit the changed topic. Emphasize information that shows this topic to be "notable."
2.Footnotes contain no reference. Find out how to format footnotes here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citing_sources#How_to_write_them
3.Add more references that show discussion of this subject in several sources. ISC website--http://www.sustaincom.org/--provides plenty for you to use. These will be helpful in expanding the article.
4. Using information from ISC website and its links, add more sections about ISC. SustainCommWorld at Calpoly will be one of them.
The section you have listing all the speakers at the Green Media Show should not remain.
The personnel bios of ISC will end up being a minor part of your entry.
Once you're on track with the newly configured article let me know. Before long you should contact Don Carli and ask him for input."
These students are getting rattled by the delete process. They are on the right track, but need a little slack to get their work within Wikipedia guidelines. I am monitoring their work as it proceeds. Is there any way to get this article back up and protected for about a week, while the editing process continues?
Thanks

Removal of speedy tag from image
[edit]Hey there! I noted that you removed my speedy tag from Image:379470 5874.jpg. If you review our image use policy, it states that "Licenses which restrict the use of the media to non-profit or educational purposes only (i.e. noncommercial use only), or are given permission to only appear on Wikipedia, are not free enough for Wikipedia's usages or goals and will be deleted." In the license agreement for the site where the image was taken, they clearly state "SELLING AND REDISTRIBUTION OF THE IMAGE (INDIVIDUALLY OR ALONG WITH OTHER IMAGES) IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN! DO NOT SHARE THE IMAGE WITH OTHERS!" Sorry for the annoying caps, but that's how it is on their site. I believe that constitutes a clear "noncommercial use only" statement and therefore the image should be deleted under speedy criterion I3. Please reconsider your decision. If you see anything else that would be helpful, we'd appreciate comments, but otherwise, your review was thorough and helpful. Thank you! Question
[edit]I am somewhat of a newbie on Wikipedia. I barely understand how to edit this page!
I see you have proposed deletion for the page Masters of Information Assurance
I would like to know how to legitimately make wikipedia redirect queries for "Masters of Information Assurance" to the official degree page "Master of Science in Information Assurance".
The first is just another name for the second; it doesn't need a whole page, it's just a reference that should direct people to the real page.
(This question was answered. Thanks)

Arab Human Rights Info Network
[edit]Who are you and why did you speedy delete The Arabic Network for Human Rights Information? This is pure vandalism. I will request RfArb on this to get other admins involved. Thanks, Erxnmedia (talk) 16:11, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- I don't think I want to associate myself with the comments above; but the fact-of-the-matter is that I didn't understand the following edit, which appeared on my watchlist:
- (diff) (hist) . . International Freedom of Expression Exchange; 15:30 . . (-4) . . User:SGGH (Talk | contribs) (Removing backlinks to Arabic Network for Human Rights Information that has been speedily deleted per (CSD A7); using TW)
- I know nothing about this specific organization, other than in a context linked from International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions ( IFLA), International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions website -- Netherlands. However, it seems relevant to mention that the International Freedom of Expression Exchange (IFEX) does list The Arabic Network for Human Rights Information amongst its membership, and this Egyptian organization's web site does appear active -- Arabic Network for Human Rights Information website ....
- I have restored the plausible link on the IFEX page only. If I was wrong in construing this as a robot error, please clarify so that I'll be better informed about how to respond when I might encounter similar edits in the future. --Tenmei (talk) 17:37, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
This was an egregious robot error, per a suggestion I have also placed a complaint here: ==Deletion Review for Arabic Network for Human Rights Information== An editor has asked for a deletion review of Arabic Network for Human Rights Information. Since you closed the deletion discussion for this article, speedy-deleted it, or were otherwise interested in the article, you might want to participate in the deletion review. Thanks
[edit]Wow that was quick! I only just created the page "The Most High, Noble and Potent Prince" and ten secs later I realised I had cocked it up and went back to do it only to discover you had already done it, thanks! You are on the ball, big time! --Camaeron (talk) 17:07, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
