Thanks for your comments. I am very new at this Wikipedia process. The tone of the article was to provide as much understanding as possible without requiring the detailed specification. I have written almost all the information which is publicly available on SLIMbus, and so I find it difficult to write about it again without using similar words and tone. SLIMbus is a new and important specification for cellular phones and portable electronic products. I can address the Wikipedia references OK. But to address all your concerns would probably water down the article to the point of being relatively useless compared to much more detailed information I have written. The external links would be the only thing that could survive. --Kdboyce (talk) 17:23, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
I noticed you reverted my edit. I wanted to point out: we don't categorize by what companies they work for. The World Wrestling Council category is for the actual titles of the company and other things like that, not for the wrestlers. If you check: the WWE category doesn't list the wrestlers, neither does TNA or any other company. They aren't alumni categories of the wrestlers that worked wherever. I believe in the past there was alumni categories here, but they were deleted for whatever reason. Perhaps someone at the Wrestling project might know why.RobJ1981 (talk) 20:06, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
Lists vs B class
[edit]Hey. I noticed that you changed a few B class articles to List class. At WP:PW we had a discussion at one point where we decided that lists that were fully sourced should be B class, to differentiate them from the lists that still needed a bunch of work. I thought I'd bring it up...if you disagree with this, we can start a new discussion and talk it over. Nikki♥311 16:38, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Thanks so much for letting me know! I'll take a look at them and see if I can get a couple DYKs. :) Nikki♥311 19:39, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
- Excellent. You know, right now at good article nominations there is a serious push to clear the backlog, so the list is the shortest it has been in months. It might be a good time to nominate some of the articles you are working on if you think they are ready. Nikki♥311 00:43, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

Hello MPJ, I was told that you won the "Wrestling Title Histories" book By Duncan and Will, if its no trouble can you look up the history for the above WWWF United States Championship? I can't find any reliable source to verify the reigns of the title, which I need for a list about defunct WWE titles that I am creating. If you find it, may you give me the page # and other necessary info. Thanks so much!--₮RUCӨ 01:27, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
- Wow, that really does not match what WP has. Is this all the reigns that the book has? Just making sure so I can fix it in the championship article and make fixes accordingly in my list. Thanks so much for finding this information, it really helps me and all of us out.--₮RUCӨ 02:47, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

- Thanks again. I've also been meaning to get in touch about something else. I've been working on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame article in my sandbox (User:GaryColemanFan/Murphy). I have found it very difficult to find information about a few wrestlers, and I was hoping you could help. I can't find reliable sources for any of Perro Aguayo's title reigns. Negro Casas also has very little information available (the article is only three sentences), so I can't find any title information for him. Likewise with Dos Caras. As for The Fabulous Kangaroos, I haven't been able to find any reliable sources for their real names or any specific references for their title reigns. If you're still looking for articles about Mexican wrestlers to work on, the three I mentioned might be good. I also figured you know more about the Kangaroos than anyone else on Wikipedia, so you might be able to point me in the right direction. If you have a chance to help with any of this sometime (no rush), I would really appreciate it. GaryColemanFan (talk) 20:43, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
RE:FLs
[edit]Not sure. I think there is an unofficial rule that the tables have to have at least 10 entries to be considered long enough. Also, the reviewers at FLC don't consider wrestlingtitles.com reliable and will only accept it if the title's page mentions getting all the information from the Wrestling Titles book. You might want to ask User:Truco, as he has had a few lists promoted and reviews there regularly. Nikki♥311 00:58, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
- I hope you don't mind me butting into the conversation, but I took a look at your lists and have a few comments if you're willing to hear them. First, I absolutely love the look of the lists -- the grey and white is very effective, and everything looks very nice. Second, I'd reflect Nikki's concerns about the sourcing -- the wrestling titles Web site seems to gather sources from all over the place, which makes verifying its trustworthiness very tough. Third, I'd suggest getting someone to read through the text before you submit it. There were a few grammatical items that need to be cleaned up. Fourth, I'd suggest including a little more context about the titles. As someone who knows absolutely nothing about professional wrestling, it be nice to know a little about the circumstances surrounding them. But from what I can tell from your user page, you're a sharp, capable editor, and I wouldn't be surprised to see some of your stuff in FLC before too long. Good luck! JKBrooks85 (talk) 11:58, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you, every bit of advice is welcome. with regards to the wrestling-titles website what I'll probably try and do is get other sources for the reigns after 1999, before 1999 the book got it covered - I'll do my best to find sources independent of wrestling-titles. Also thanks for the input on the text, it tends to be neglected in lists but you're right that has to be up to quality as well. Context is a good idea too, I'd probably expand on that a bit for those I intent to put up for FL, thanks for your input. MPJ-DK (talk) 12:02, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
- One thing I forgot to mention is that pictures are extremely helpful as well. Even if it's just a picture of someone who won one of the titles, rather than the title belt itself, it'd be useful. JKBrooks85 (talk) 12:07, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks Nikki and MPJ. ;) In all honesty, the lead of the lists needs to be expanded to state a little history of the title (and possibly the company itself). When I say history, I mean how its creation came to be about. That will be the first paragraph, the second paragraph will consist of a summary of the list itself. The table also needs to be reformatted to how they are in other FLs. A good example would be the recently promoted List of ECW Television Champions, List of WWF Light Heavyweight Champions, and List of ECW Tag Team Champions. I hope this helps, if not, you can drop by my talk page.--₮RUCӨ 14:12, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
- It looks good so far, but the lead needs to be cut down. IMO, the problem may be the {{center}} templates, because that is not in other lists (even though it is in the number column, it could affect the rest of the columns. One way to cut down the lead is to make a history section, and move the list itself to a List of _____ Champions, as that is the norm, while the main article is an article. See World Heavyweight Championship (WWE) and List of World Heavyweight Champions (WWE).₮RUCӨ 01:50, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. I noticied your working on Luchadore-related articles, particularly the list you've complied (very impressive!), and I was wondering if you'd like to use information from my own list ? It generally lists current tags and other issues for every wrestler in Category:Mexican professional wrestlers as well red links gathered from articles, user sub pages and Pro Wrestling Illustrated. 71.184.57.80 (talk) 05:03, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

I think I've referenced all the post-2000 title histories in "Category:Mexican professional wrestlers" and noted them on the list. I have a few of the missing title histories for the WWA (WWA World Heavyweight, Light Heavyweight, Junior Light Heavyweight, Middleweight, Welterweight, Lightweight, Tag Team, Trios and Women's Champioships) and UWA (UWA Lightweight, Featherweight, Women's and Women's Tag Team Championships) and I was wondering if you could could check if its referenced in "Wrestling Title Histories" before I submit them to WP:Afc ? 71.184.57.80 (talk) 16:13, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for the help with the references. I wasn't sure about the correct names, the WWA Junior Heavyweight title is under WWA World Junior Light Heavyweight Championship and most of the champions use the "world title". Also I accidentally used "Woman's Championship" instead of "Women's Championship" when creating the women's titles. Do you know how I can fix this ? 71.184.57.80 (talk) 13:32, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Conflicting sources for WWA Welterweight title
[edit]I was going over my submission for the WWA Welterweight Championship and Wrestling-titles.com and Solie.org WWA Welterweight pages have different versions. Eddy Guerrero and Rey Misterio, Jr. both have title reigns on Solie.org for example and Santo apparently has an extra title reign on Wrestling-titles.com. Do you know which is the correct version ? 71.184.57.80 (talk) 13:27, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
- I submitted some redirects for the WWA titles if you want to look them over for the correct names. Don't suppose I could trouble you for the WTH references for the IWRG titles ? :) 71.184.57.80 (talk) 16:46, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the help again. I just submitted the rest of the IWRG titles today. By the way, I have a small list of facts from various luchador articles which I thought might be good additions for DYK. From what I understand of DYK guidelines, articles have to be at least five days old or substancially expanded ? I'm not sure which facts I have meet these, I doubt Santo could be expanded anymore (though it would be awesome to bring it up to FA), but I'm sure articles like Rolando Vera, Fray Tormenta or Juana Barraza could pass. I've had some trouble finding reliable sources for some of these, I'm not sure how to properly cite the Charly Manson youtube link, but it'd be great if you could take a look at some of these. 71.184.57.80 (talk) 03:13, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
Statement
[edit]Hey, I just want you to know if you ever need my help just say hey. If I'm not busy I'll help with anything from AAA, CMLL, etc. It is nice to see someone working on that group of articles. I can relate since no one was really trying to expand the TNA stuff to a higher class until I came along. So keep up the good work, the project shouldn't be all about the WWE. Also I noticed a link to Sean Waltman on your user page, if you have any future plans to expand that article I'm game to help.--WillC 07:22, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
- Interesting, I thought it would be harder to find sources, seeing as this is the English pedia I would expect you wouldn't find many reliable ones in English, they would all be Spanish. My main reason for X-Pac is for the TNA stuff, plus a topic for DX. I recently found out most of the articles or topics I have planned for the future will cause me to work on articles I don't really care about, like Monty Sopp-for a topic about The Beautiful People. I then noticed by then a DX topic would only be off by a few articles, that became a future plan. Then a List of TNA X Division Champions topic came into my head, noticing that most of the bio articles I have planned will cause a topic for that article to become closer than before, that became a future project. Seeing as Waltman would kill two birds with one stone, I've been trying to find someone to work with me on it since I could really care less about expanding it in the first place.--WillC 09:11, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
- I'm not really retired per-say. I'm really just trying to leave so I can get stuff done. I've got school work to do and it is more important than this place. So while I get on the computer it cuts into the time I could be finishing some work. I'll pop in every day to check some stuff and probably pop out an article here and there, but this time I'm staying away and only coming on once or twice a day tops.--WillC 17:33, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, regrading your comment on Turning Point (2004)'s GA review, yeah, I'm a prime member. Give me long enough and I'll be the captain. I'm tired of the entire project being Wikipedia: WikiProject World Wrestling Entertainment. That is why I'm glad you are working on CMLL, AAA, etc lists. The more people that work on other articles not related to WWE, I'm happy. I'm tried of their strangle hold on wrestling in general. What I can do to make the world know there are other promotions out there than WWE, then I've done my job.--WillC 07:06, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

Inspiration is a hoax!?
[edit]You decided to decline the requested new artice Inspiration. Thus, it appears that you don't believe that the film was ever made, and you think that the information about it is all fictitious, even though the links provided to Imdb.com and Allmovies.com confirm the information (and even the essential critique). You seem to be quite presumptuous! Wikipedia articles on other Garbo movies do not, in general, cite any better sources. Do you think that the articles on those other movies are hoaxes as well? And calling Garbo Forever just a fan site is dismissive, given the amount of good information on this non-profit site. BTW, there is an article about the film on the German and French wikipedias, and therefore I thought that en-wiki should have one as well, but obviously I have been proved wrong. 130.188.8.13 (talk) 16:55, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
Your new project
[edit]I love the idea for MP:PWTINWRBTIALMFTVMVATAOI. I've worked on some WWF articles in the past (I really enjoyed the run of pay-per-views from 1992 to 1995, so I worked on getting all of the ones I watched back then to GA status), but I've totally changed direction these days. I've been working on articles about older wrestlers lately, and I've really been enjoying it. I'd rather learn about wrestling history than argue with an IP editor about something he's sure he remembers seeing one time but can't provide a source for. Anyhow, you're doing a great job with the Mexican wrestling articles and the stub expansions, and I thought I'd come an offer my support for someone wanting to focus on often-neglected articles. [edit]Hi, I'm working on getting the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame to Featured List status. The version that I'm working on is at User:GaryColemanFan/Murphy. I'm close to finishing the table, but I was wondering if you could help for some of the remaining entries. I'm trying to find real names for Heffernan, Kent. You said you had sources for their names - would you be able to find them when you have a chance? If you could also find the page number(s) in your wrestling title book for the NWA United States Tag Team Championship (Northeast version) (also known as the WWWF United States Tag Team Championship), that would really help as well.
Other titles for which page numbers would really help are:
- AWA Southern Tag Team Championship (also known as the NWA Southern Tag Team Championship (Mid-America version))
- NWA World Tag Team Championship (Mid-America version),
- the Boston-based American Wrestling Association's World Heavyweight Championship (promoted by Paul Bowser),
- WCCW/WCWA World Six-Man Tag Team Championship (also known as the NWA World Six-Man Tag Team Championship (Texas version))
- UWA World Lightweight Championship
- UWA World Middleweight Championship.

Comment: it was declined before for lack of sources, no sources added from what I can se. Resubmitting should only happen if you actually address the problems first.MPJ-DK (talk) 21:52, 9 June 2009 (UTC)--
In the original there were indeed no sources.
In the resubmit there were THREE university-press sources in English plus one other in Portuguese.
in addition to re-edit of the prose. Thus I am mystified at the HOLD on this entry, which is much more sculpted than hundreds of extant entries.
I have logged in with my User account in case that makes any difference.

[edit]Could you please tell me why my page has not been approved yet? I have listed 3rd party sources, I'm not sure what else I should do, thank you. Thank you for the help! I will look into the issues and see if I can figure them out-I would love it if it could just be created for me, I'm having a lot of trouble with the reliable sources. Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! (Jmh222 (talk) 21:36, 18 June 2009 (UTC))
Is it possible to get an editor to do this page for me? I can't seem to get the references right I don't know what else to do I have links to about 100 different reliable 3rd party references but it still isn't right? Do I have any options for getting this created a different way? Thanks! (Jmh222 (talk) 21:37, 24 June 2009 (UTC))
Also, could you tell me what part of the article you're referring to when you say 'part of it reads more like an ad then an encyclopedic article?' Thanks! (Jmh222 (talk) 14:27, 25 June 2009 (UTC))

Peer review
[edit]My work schedule calms down quite a bit over the next few days, so I'll take a look at the article for you. If you are able to find the page numbers in your Wrestling Titles books for the titles I listed above (in the "Help request" section), that would be great. I've got Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame almost ready for a Featured List candidacy, but there are just a few wrestlers that still need some sources. FLC
[edit]Hey, I'm sorry if I'm being difficult. I just want what is best for the article since there isn't many who work on the indy articles.--WillC 12:21, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
- Well when I first started about 6 months ago, I would get all my info from Truco. Then I got all of it from people who reviewed my lists, naming Giant and Dabous or something along those lines. Those two are the ones who got me to the format I have today. Also again I'm sorry if I'm being difficult. If this was lets say either ROH Title or the TNA X and Tag I would do what you asked right then and there without asking why. But after as many lists I've done recently, I grew an opinion and started asking. So I've grew a little big headed and trying to stop that. But as for anyone who makes FLs, there is Truco, myself, you, and maybe Gary and IMatt. Other then them, I do not know. If we were to make an official format which I would love and was eventually going to get around to in my campaign to re-write the MoS, we should also involve all those who have reviewed the recent FLs from the project.--WillC 12:58, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
- Save Us has not been online since mid-May. I usually talk to him on Yahoo IM and he hasn't been online in weeks. So while he isn't around, I'll handle any problems that come up during the Armageddon (2008) review. Just for you to know.--WillC 12:44, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
Well I'll get them fixed here in a bit. Better to try than let it fail.--WillC 10:23, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, a quick heads up. You may have to re-read the entire article. I'm working on somethings I've seen are wrong, etc. So I'll be moving somethings, just really an entire overhaul.--WillC 12:14, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

Your review of MNM is really appreciated, it's been driving both Blue and I mad waiting for reviews! ♥Nici♥Vampire♥Heart♥ 00:50, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
RE: Multilinear Transformation & Multiarray
[edit]Hi there, I am the creator of the articles for consideration: Multilinear Transformation and Multiarray. They are meant to go together. Unfortunately the article multiarray became k-array (possibly accidentally as it is an alternative term. The two fit in a unique way. As to you don't know what a multilinear transformation is because you cannot. Inherently, a tensor is an unimaginable object above order 2 (see that article) and if you can visualize you are superhuman and congrats (i dont mean it in a patronizing way). The only way to describe it is through its mathematical formulation and universal principles as it is called in mathematical thoery. These are very abstract objects used in senior undergrad and grad level studies.
I have resubmitted k-array under its proper title of Multiarray, so maybe you could look at both thx.
Cheers,
Jennifer

List of airline carriers / airline carrier holding companies, headquartered in Texas
[edit]List of airline carriers / airline carrier holding companies, headquartered in Texas
Recently you reviewd the preceding list indicating Wiki is "not"..... I beg to differ as we may need to put up for deletion
as they cover similar material. List of airline carriers / airline carrier holding companies, does appear to be relevant as it tracks the historical development of the airline holding company concept since Airline Deregulation happened in 1978. Additionally, much of that history has Texas Connections and routes beginning with Texas International Airlines and the Texas Air Corporation, which was the trendsetter and new model of airline business which basically vacuumed up deregulated carriers like is what happening now.
Actually I would not suggest deleting List of Airlines of Hawaii or Alaska because I do not believe in that.
List of defunct or merged airline carriers of Texas, below is the more approriate name for the article.

Armageddon 08
[edit]Okay, I'm done. I've done all I can. I've wrote a few of these events but never a WWE one. Now I've cut it down alot since length and going too in depth is a problem with events. You asked for more storyline which would make it go too in-depth. I wanted more storyline in Lockdown 08 but it seems that is going too much in detail. So what is in the article at the moment is the standard for events. Just the key points. Re-wrote most of the article and added third party sources along the way.--WillC 01:17, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
- Do you have the wrestling titles book that is used as a source alot? If so, I need pages for the WCW TV Title and anyother the title is under. Could you help me out here?--WillC 08:11, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
Oh, I forgot, thanks for passing Armageddon. Though I didn't expand it, it helped me get another 30 points in the wikicup.--WillC 07:36, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
- You stated in the FLC for WWE Backlash that it would need a peer review. Well I finished an article recently about a related subject. It is TNA Bound for Glory and I was wondering what your opinion on it was. [edit]Thanks for looking up all of those references for me. With that information, I was able to put the finishing touches on Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame and nominate it as a Featured List. I'll be working on another hall of fame article (here), so if it's okay with you, I may ask for some more help at some point in the future. I've been looking for a copy of the book, but it's very hard to find. I also wanted to mention an article I found that you might be interested in. While I was looking for information about Roy Heffernan, I came across this article about his family: [1]. Bio-Synthesis
[edit]Hi, I've read your comments. I'm fairly new to this whole wikipedia process. I didn't think all the printed sources were required when I submitted the article the first time. Bio-Synthesis is a small, privately-held company. There aren't any articles from a third party profiling the company. I've researched into the competitors of Bio-Synthesis and none of them seem to have listed any references or are very vague in the references. Please look at the following examples: Unigene Laboratories AnaSpec Inc. Phenomenex Please let me know what else I need to modify in order to get this article published.
Thanks for creating the article for me. How do I modify the title of the article? I would like to take out the "," in between Bio-Synthesis and Inc. I've tried to e-mail the link to people and when they click on it, it doesn't take them directly to the article page. I'm assuming I shouldn't have punctuation marks in the title. Please help.

Another help request
[edit]I looked through all of the people to be included in the next hall of fame article that I want to being up to Featured List level. If you are able to help with come citations, that would be very helpful. Just the chapter title and the page numbers would be great. Again, there are quite a few titles. I'm not in a hurry, so any time would be great (even just a couple at a time, if it's easier). The titles would be (I've given the names and dates of some winners to help clarify, as the names can get confusing at times):
- Central States version of the NWA World Tag Team Championship (active in 1960)
- This is the one that George and Sandy Scott won on May 13, 1960
- Mid-Atlantic version of the NWA Southern Tag Team Championship (later replaced by the NWA Atlantic Coast Tag Team Championship)
- This is the one that George and Sandy Scott was on March 18, 1957
- NWA Georgia Tag Team Championship
- This is the one that Gene and Ole Anderson (The Minnesota Wrecking Crew) won on May 31, 1974
- NWA Women's World Tag Team Championship (if you could also clarify how many times Penny Banner held the title, it would really help)
- NWA Tri-State Tag Team Championship (also known as Tri-State version of NWA United States Tag Team Championship)
- This is the one that Luke Brown and Grizzly Smith (The Kentuckians) won in April 1971
- Mid-America version of the NWA World Tag Team Championship
- This is the one that Don and Jackie Fargo won on August 5, 1957
- Mid-America version of the NWA South Tag Team Championship (also known as the AWA Southern Tag Team Championship)
- This is the one that Jackie Fargo and Lester Welch won on October 17, 1961
If you could help with any or all of these, I would really appreciate it. Thanks, GaryColemanFan (talk) 06:56, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Review
[edit]I placed the tag on the list. Everything is correct in both. The dispute is whether to say Angle is a four time champion, or a three, since TNA does not recognize one of his reigns. Simple disagreement. I'll fix the World Title to show this.--WillC 19:44, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
- Well it says he won it. But in the reigns section it goes by what TNA says. It says as recognized by TNA. I'll change it.--WillC 08:11, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
- I wasn't aware of an edit war. Right now is really as stable as the article ever gets. Only once in a while me and TJ get into it. Just disagrees between editors. I'll fill you in on the situation. See, I feel we shouldn't go by the promotion on history. We should go by facts entirely. Like with Angle's reign. We should state that Angle is a four time champion officially and only note that TNA does not recognize it. While TJ feels we should go by TNA entirely. That anything they don't recognize is unofficial. Though I'm not sure of his entire position. He has never explained it in full. To explain it a bit better. See the WWE Champions lists? Well it has the unrecognized reigns with dashes where the reign number should be. I feel we should count them towards the official total. They happened, they have sources, they are official according to the facts. But because WWE doesn't recognize them they aren't counted towards the official reign history. That is incorrect. An encyclopedia should be held down by facts. Not a promotion's beliefs. There are times to go by the promotion and then there isn't. Hopefully that helps.--WillC 08:47, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
I agree we should state both, but go more the actual events way. Lets say, Wrestle B beat Wrestle A for the championship. Promotion A does not recognize this. So Promotion A says no and includes no change in history. Book A writes the history as: "1, Wrestle A, 1; -, Wrestler B, 1, not officially recognized by the promotion." I feel it should be this: "1, Wrestle A, 1; 2, Wrestler B, 1, not officially recognized by the promotion."--WillC 09:11, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
- Hey, I forgot to ask this earlier, does the wrestling titles book give anymore info? Some of the reigns have no dates and I thought it might give some. Check List of WCW World Television Champions to see which dates I need. Really any information it states would be nice.--WillC 06:30, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
- Does the wrestling titles book give vacated dates? If so, I need the date it was vacated by Ricky Steamboat in 1980, another in October 1980, one where Jos LeDuc was stripped in 1982, one in January 1984, and one in November 1992. I also need the dates of Greg Valentine's last two reigns in 1981, Ivan Koloff's reigns in 1982, Jos LeDuc's reign in 1982, and Tom Zenk's reign in December 1990. Sorry to bother you about this, but I can't seem to find a written ref that gives me these dates. I got wrestling titles which is questionable, and as such I'm only using it for none controversial material. Solie keeps directing me to the NWA America TV Title for some reason and I can't get the reigns before Dusty Rhodes in 1985 from them. So I'm hoping this book can clear up all the date problems.--WillC 22:41, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
I was wondering, are you just going to fail the TNA World Heavyweight Championship? Because I don't see any problems at the moment. There isn't a dispute anymore. Everything seems netural. I don't know why there hasn't been a review.--WillC 05:54, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, that is cool. I can understand that. It just seemed weird. Also, sorry about all the comments above. WCW TV Champs has alot of problems and the wrestling titles book may be the only thing that can fix them. But while you are on, can you tell me if all the infomation in this reference is correct for the MCW Heavyweight Championship: <ref>{{cite book|author=Royal Duncan & Gary Will|title=Wrestling Title Histories|publisher=Archeus Communications|year=4th Edition 2006|isbn=0-9698161-5-4}}</ref>? If you don't mind, when you get a chance, could you fix all the little date and history problems in WCW TV Champs since you have the book? I'll do a few reviews for you in return, hell I may do one right now just for you, since you've helped me already so much. Thanks, much love. LOL--WillC 06:07, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
Thanks, it is cool. The WCW TV Champs has been put on hold till I can figure out what is the correct history. I went ahead and did MCW Heavyweight Championship so I can get another FL. Thanks for all the help.--WillC 15:24, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
- Interesting. It has to be in there somewhere. It was in there before I ever started expansion.--WillC 15:30, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
- Well, I guess I'll remove. I have another title ref I can add if I want from wrestling titles which should be usable considering I've already got two others that say the samething as it. But only if during the FLC is it brung up will I add it. I have enough references in there already.--WillC 15:40, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
Done. Sorry about the problems. Once you read it many many times, you start to not notice any.--WillC 03:22, 8 July 2009 (UTC) Why did you fail the article?--WillC 08:09, 10 July 2009 (UTC)
- Maybe, you can return to the review. I have left a few replies. I also plan to go to GAR if that is possible, because I don't plan to wait another 2 months for a review. Also, the funny thing is, I was in the middle of reviewing your article on GAN.--WillC 08:36, 10 July 2009 (UTC)
LoveBomb verification links
[edit]Hi MPJ-DK
I'm the author of the article on LoveBomb - the sculpture by Dutch artist Iskander Walen. Unfortunately, for exhibition announcements, generally a list of featured works is not included. There exist photographs of the first time the LoveBomb sculpture was on exhibition at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in Singapore, in May 2009, during the Lasalle '09 show. During this exhibition the works were also not mentioned individually. Now it is part of another exhibition featuring 9 major works by Iskander Walen, but these works are not mentioned by name or description.
How do I solve this problem? I can't make the external sources mention each work. I've uploaded one photograph taken during the first exhibition at ICA, but of course it is not possible to verify the photograph was taken there.
If you have a suggestion, please do not hesitate to tell me.
Best regards

Problems
[edit]Okay, now, I see you've failed the TNA Title, which I believe is a little rash and you could have stated some of the things that were bothering you outright and maybe we could have avoided this situation. Now, I'm sorry if I was a burden of any sort. We just have disagreements, we are only human. Now maybe we can discuss this a bit more. I waited 2 months for a review, and I'm writing this in not a very good mood. So as nice as I can be. Maybe, we can just restart. I feel that would be better. I tend to like to discuss certain things in reviews so that I know why they were changed for later. I can also explain some of the problems with the title's history a bit better if you would like.--WillC 09:04, 10 July 2009 (UTC)
- Maybe. I usually feel that a wrestling fan would be best, since they understand things a bit more. Don't let that discourage you from reviewing further.--WillC 13:47, 10 July 2009 (UTC)
- Hey, I thought to tell you that a few things I've noticed with lists. Considering I believe you are planning to take List of NWA World Light Heavyweight Champions to FL, I should tell you that nicknames should not be added, seeing as "Rowdy" Roddy Piper is in the above list. Also that the "Champions by combined length" table should have all names linked plus the Combined Days column should be sorted. Both of the main tables are quick referenced. After I noticed that, I figured out that everything should be linked, even people who are already mentioned earlier in the table. Just stating this to help you out. You do good work and I want to help your cause in anyway I can.--WillC 12:50, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
- Well I don't see why not. Quick reference tables are usually an exception to over link. And most users either come to see who has held the belt the longest, the shortest, who is the current champion, etc. As for the red links, I'm cool with that. I understand that. I just didn't look closer. I just thought to make sure you knew that if you didn't. The ones who are not notable and probably will never be unless they do something really amazing shouldn't be link, so I agree. As for the sorting thing. I do that so I thought to pass it along. That way there could be no possibly problem. I'm told alot that tables aren't sorting right when they seem fine to me. The other FLs are a bit out of date. I'm actually in the process of updating alot of them. Also I'm probably going to be AFDing alot of indy titles soon. I'm trying to clean up some of the project's articles. Make sure they got the right formats and getting rid of the unneeded ones when it comes to anything that has to do with titles, including the promotions themselves.--WillC 13:11, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
- Also, I started a GAR for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship at Wikipedia:Good article reassessment/TNA World Heavyweight Championship/1 just for you to know. Nothing against you mate. I just disagree with your decision. I hope we are still friends, or something along those lines.--WillC 14:23, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
- Hey, I was thinking about working on getting List of National Wrestling Alliance championships up to FL level. Since there are a few things that deal with Mexican wrestling in the article and you are working on a few NWA titles, do you want to work together in getting it there?--WillC 14:02, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
LOL Cool. I'm cleaning up some of the title categories and seeing what titles are notable, can be improved, etc. I'm on Category:Professional wrestling championships at the moment, and it was listed there. I took a look at it and I knew it had a damn good chance at becoming an FL. Then noticed the CMLL part and automaticly thought of asking you if you wanted to work together.--WillC 14:16, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
- I've expanded the TNA World Heavyweight Championship just a bit. I was wondering what you thought of it now? It is not done. But is coming along nicely.--WillC 17:46, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, I'll probably get to it today or tomorrow. I'm slow on all reviews, so it is nothing new.--WillC 13:02, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

[edit]I would leave evaluation of that DYK nom. to someone else (I know too little about this field). As to the article itself, I think it is impossible to have 2x2 refs to different chapters with same page numbers (probably page numbers are wrong). Materialscientist (talk) 09:11, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

Yet another request
[edit]This Dramaout has inspired me to create some articles that I've been meaning to work on for quite a while. I finally wrote an article on Well Dunn. I was wondering, though, if you would be able to help with the references for their championships. I'm also not sure if your title history book has explanations of when the titles were held up, vacated, etc. If you can help, they held (with explanations of vacant titles, etc., if you are able to verify them):
- NWA Pacific Northwest Tag Team Championship, from Oregon's Pacific Northwest Wrestling; the title was held up on August 9, 1989 and November 4, 1989 and vacated in February 1990
- USWA World Tag Team Championship, from Tennessee's United States Wrestling Association; King lost the title in a handicap match on June 2, 1990
- WWC World Tag Team Championship, from Puerto Rico's World Wrestling Council; the title was held up on August 1, 1992
- NWA North American Tag Team Championship (active from 1997-present mainly in Tennessee; also known as the Music City Wrestling North American Tag Team Championship; on May 30, 1998, they won the title but Reno Riggins took King's place when Doll and Riggins attacked him after the match)
Thanks again. I moved the article into the mainspace and I think it establishes their notability, so I'm not particularly worried about deletion, so I'm not in a hurry for these references. Please let me know if there's anything I can try to help you with on articles that you're working on. Thanks, GaryColemanFan (talk) 07:18, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
Thank you for making WP:NODRAMA a success!
[edit]Thank you again for your support of the Great Wikipedia Dramaout. Preliminary statistics indicate that 129 new articles were created, 203 other articles were improved, and 183 images were uploaded. Additionally, 41 articles were nominated for DYK, of which at least 2 have already been promoted. There are currently also 8 articles up for GA status and 3 up for FA/FL status. Though the campaign is technically over, please continue to update the log page at WP:NODRAMA/L with any articles which you worked during the campaign, and also to note any that receive commendation, such as DYK, GA or FA status. You may find the following links helpful in nominating your work:

Hey MPJ-DK, I've attended to most of your comments, thanks for popping over to FLC! Just one thing, the lead length query. Can you suggest anything I might be able to add? - I have a question, and if its no bother, but can you verify the existence of the 5 NWA United States Tag Team Championships, like the page #'s so I can put in the article for the New Jersey version and we can get a DYK out of it?--Truco 503 04:20, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

- Have you looked at the template? I figure one just about the titles seems out of place. Why have one just about the titles when it could just be one about the entire promotion and do the job plus more. Also I left a few comments yesterday at Talk:Abismo Negro/GA1 just for you to know. I was waiting for replies before passing the article. Making sure everything is settled first. Also the championshipname parameter is supposed to only be about the article name usually. That has usually been the unwritten rule for as all as I've been on here.--WillC 07:03, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
- I'm saying you did. It is just we all tend to have our own little sections. I'm in the TNA section, Gary is in the old or unwatched by the majority articles, and everybody else is in the WWE section mainly. We've all become our own little web masters in a way. Not saying we own them we are like the fathers watching over our kids. It just makes the inforbox wider and a bit more cluttered. Nothing very bad, just something small. Just going by what I've learned through working on here.--WillC 07:24, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

Yvon Cormier/The Beast
[edit]I'm working on a series of articles and I've run into a bit of difficulty. There doesn't seem to be an accurate history of the ESA North American Heavyweight Championship online. The version at http://www.wrestling-titles.com/canada/maritimes/esa/esa-na-h.html isn't bad for the most part, but it's got things a little confused in 1972. Would you be able to check your book to see how many times The Beast won the title (and, if possible, who he won it from and lost it to in 1972)? The title was promoted by the Eastern Sports Association (possibly known as International Wrestling) on Canada's East Coast (the Maritimes). Thanks again, GaryColemanFan (talk) 15:26, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
- If you have a chance, I was wondering if you could also let me know if the book has any record of the short-lived Global Tag Team Championship (either the same promotion, or from Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling, which is also in the Maritimes). It's listed in a subsection in the ESA International Tag Team Championship article, but I can't find a record for it anywhere else. If it is there, can you please confirm that Rudy Kay held the title? Thanks, GaryColemanFan (talk) 03:06, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

[edit]If it's an unreliable source, why is it allowed within external links for several articles on luchadores? Also to tell you that on your to do list, you put Misterioso II as NWA Welter when it's acuatlly Misterioso (I) who won it and on your page List of Mexican National Trios Champions, you have El Sagrada when it's El Sagrado.--Wrestling-fantic (talk) 15:41, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

List of Mexican National Trios Champions
[edit]- Hombre Bala - Draft
- Los Destructores
- Los Payasos
- Dr. X

- I change my mind alot. I feel third party sources should always be used. But in the CZW and PWG Titles, primary were used because though there are reliable third party sites covering PWG and CZW, the primary refs gave more information and I could not find many reports on events. I myself was even thinking of putting those lists up for removal because I found no reports at the time and they could be merged back into the main articles. But decided not too because when I find time I plan to redo them. I use what I have.--WillC 07:56, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

I would rather not use Solie if there were some other no doubt reliable title history site, but all I got at the moment. WP:AFC
[edit]Regarding my title submissions to WP:AFC, I either submitted these based on red linked articles (e.g. List of National Wrestling Alliance championships) or as additions from pages I had already submitted though AFC, specifically Turnbuckle Championship Wrestling and the Century Wrestling Alliance. My submission for the NWA Southern Tag Team Championship (Georgia version) was based on the other existing versions. All of these had the Gary Will reference, from a 2006 version, without page numbers cited. User:FPAtl created two of these using only Wrestling-Titles.com, NWA Southern Tag Team Championship (Gulf Coast version) and NWA Southern Tag Team Championship (Mid-America version), while you yourself added a Gary Will reference without citing page numbers. I found an index from the 2000 version here and which is my reason for adding the reference for my submissions.
As for the TCW/CWA titles, I created these pages specifically because the articles I submitted were already very lengthy. I read WP:SPLIT and thought it was appropriate to create title pages. I understand the Continental Wrestling Association shares two of these titles but I didn't know what the naming convention was in this case and since the reviewer was moving the title anyway, it would be better left for them to decide instead of guessing what I thought was appropriate. I could cite each and every name with a news article, or certain magazines/books I own, but I didn't think it was necessary since the sources I used were acceptable on almost every other Wikipedia title history page. 72.74.208.104 (talk) 12:37, 21 September 2009 (UTC)

Hi, you mentioned that you have books (the Hall of Fame series - the Canadians, and possibly another) with information on the Cormier wrestling family. I nominated the articles at GAN, and the reviewer of the Bobby Kay article is asking for more detail about his career. I was wondering if you know if there is much in the books about Bobby. He was the youngest in the family and wasn't nearly as famous as his brothers The Beast or Leo Burke, so I haven't been able to find much more about him. Any help would be wonderful, though. - Either way would be wonderful. I don't have a lot of free time this week, but I could expand the article a bit if you can provide we with some information. If there is anything you could add to it, that would be great as well. I'm just hoping to get a little bit more depth and add another source or two so that it doesn't seem so dependent on the SLAM! Wresting link. Thanks, GaryColemanFan (talk) 06:32, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Hey there. I was wondering if you could help me out with something. I know you have the Wrestling Titles book, and I was wondering if it contained the NWA Canadian Open Tag Team Championship and the NWA Texas Heavyweight Championship. I'm currently trying to expand Eric Holmback (Yukon Eric), and I was hoping you could give me information on his reigns with those championships, like partners/date won/locations/date lost/etc. Thanks, ♥Nici♥Vampire♥Heart♥ 11:30, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

you like wrestling
[edit]Wow! you sure like wrestling! I write Mexico related articles too. You should note the articles you start or expand on WP:MEXICO page in the new pages section.Thelmadatter (talk) 17:08, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
- That reminds me... when I wrote the Colonia Doctores article (where I live) I could not find info on Arena Mexico, the famous lucha venue. There is a stub on it as well. could you expand it and/or send me sources, so I can do it. I read Spanish.Thelmadatter (talk) 17:24, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
- Arena Mexico is certainly a lot better than it was!Thelmadatter (talk) 15:30, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
- Hey.. I managed to find a newspaper article on Arena Mexico and boxing. But some of my information conflicts with yours. Specifically, you state that the arena was build specifically for lucha libre but was a major boxing venue from 1956 to the end of the 20th century. Im not a sports fan, maybe you want to take a shot as smoothing it out?Thelmadatter (talk) 16:03, 25 January 2010 (UTC)

Hi there MPJ-DK. When you get the chance, can you revisit this FLC and help out with the sorting issue brought up? Thanks, Dabomb87 (talk) 00:41, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

Blue Demon
[edit]You are wrong. Maybe you don't know Spanish language as you say "Demonio Azul" is just a nickname. "Demonio Azul" is simply "Blue Demon" in Spanish. Blue Demon is just a traduction. The wrestler wrestles as Demonio Azul. His name has simply been traduced for the USA public. --AndreaFox2 (talk) 16:38, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
As you seem interested in lucha libre think about this: if blue demon wasn't just a traduction the "leyenda de azul" should have been known as "blue legend". --AndreaFox2 (talk) 16:42, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
The move of Blue Demon is totally and utterly wrong! he has been referred to as Blue Demon more than anything, billed as such with the "demonio azul" being more of a nickname. The move needs to be undone. MPJ -DK 16:35, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
I didn't want to sound offensive: i assumed you didn't konwn it as you say it was just a nickname, like if demonio azul and blue demon means different things. It is not true that "he was billed and is referred to everywhere as "Blue Demon", books, posters and articles in Spanish generally list him as Blue Demon". This is true in English, not in Spanish. He wrestles as Demonio Azul, he is billed and listed as such. So his billed name is "Demonio Azul". If you check spanish sites or if you listen to Spanish announcers and commentaries of his matches you will agree with me. --AndreaFox2 (talk) 16:48, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
Then name those articles, books, ... The leyenda de azul was just an example. I didn't understand your reference to the leyenda de plata. And i didn't understand your concern over this matter too. It doesn't seem to me that big matter. I simply think it is rightous to put its true name, than its translation. However the translation is still used in his articles. Then where's the problem? --AndreaFox2 (talk) 16:54, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
http://superluchas.net/ can't be considered a sure source. In its main page (these are examples) it lists superloco as supercrazy and rey misterio as rey mysterio and it seems more focused on wwe than mexico itself. You seems to ignore i ask you to list those sites, ... --AndreaFox2 (talk) 16:57, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
then it is explained why i din't understand your reference: leyenda de plata is in honor of el santo, leyenda de azul is in honor of demonio azul. See here: http://www.cinefania.com/movie.php/143151/. See what it is the original spanish name. See here: http://www.palestraaguascalientes.com/deportes/el-santo-vencio-al-demonio-azul-en-lucha-al-aire-libre/. See what are the results of googling on http://www.google.es/ not on http://www.google.en/. You still haven't listed your sites, books,... --AndreaFox2 (talk) 17:09, 4 February 2010 (UTC)

http://www.google.es/search?hl=it&q=blue+demon+lucha&aq=f&oq=, http://www.google.es/search?hl=it&q=demonio+azul+lucha&aq=f&oq=. The results you gave are erroneous. However even if googling proves me right, this kind of "proof" is quite misleading. From what i know Blue Demon and Demonio Azul are quite interchangeble. Mexicans fans, commentators,... semms to prefer the second one. They are both correct, the article lists them both. So, this is not that big deal. However, there are various way to deal with a user: calling someone's argouments pathetic or saying he doesn't understand, trying to look superior, isn't the one i prefer. --AndreaFox2 (talk) 17:23, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
read what i added to the previous message. I say it's not a big deal, because you seem angry and you talk harsh unnecessarly. Do you think you're right? open a discussion over the matter. --AndreaFox2 (talk) 17:29, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
When you say you could proof your points with thousands of sites, book, ... you linked only a site. As i say googling doesn't proof anything and even doing it like you say, the results are different from the ones you are listing. So i think i'm right. Do you think you're right too? Then open a discussion to advance your proposal. --AndreaFox2 (talk) 17:35, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
