Copyright issue
[edit]hiya, while it is great to see you contribute with various Lucha Libre articles, there is just one problem. It is illegal to copy text straight from luchawiki.org and use it for aticles on Wikipedia, that is a coyright violation. I am not reporting you or anything, just pointing out that it is a problem. MPJ-DK (talk) 22:23, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
Welcome
[edit]Welcome!
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:
- The Five Pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Editing tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Naming conventions
- Manual of Style
Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect intellectual property rights - do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view - this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced to multiple reliable sources.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Deliberately adding such content or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism, doing so will result your account or IP being blocked from editing.
The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!

Proposed deletion of Peng (wrestler)
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Peng (wrestler), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- No notability established. Working for NWA Wisconsin does not equal notability. No championships won. No third party reliable sources available to help establish notability.
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Sicodelico, Jr.
[edit]You are mistaken, cagematch lists it as "01.1998" which is January but not a specific day in January - just like his article here states. MPJ-DK (talk) 09:02, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
- It's not a problem, I've done it myself plenty of times. I've been meaning to ask you, the articles you've created on Luchadors - are you thinking about expanding them beyond what you've done so far? I know some like Argenis does not have a lot more to add but Hijo de Fantasma or Sangre Azteca could definitly be expanded, in fact I think Sangre Azteca is one article that with the proper research could be a Wikipedia Good Article one day. Just curious, I've personally found the research for articles very informative. MPJ-DK (talk) 18:00, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
- Well I've been at this for two and a half years, have several Good Articles, Feature Article & Feature Lists to my name so if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask, I'd be happy to help. MPJ-DK (talk) 18:15, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
Article expansions
[edit]I've noticed you've begun to expand the articles and not just create stub articles which I'm very pleased to see, I have a personal goal of expanding all Lucha Libre Stub articles by the end of the year and you're making that easier to do :) MPJ-DK (talk) 19:16, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
Luchawiki
[edit]Hi, I see that you're using Luchawiki as your main source of information for expanding articles. Because Luchawiki, like Wikipedia, can be edited by anyone, is is not considered a reliable source under Wikipedia guidelines. More information about some good reliable sources for wrestling articles can be found at Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling/Style guide. I hope this helps. DYK nomination of Venum Black
[edit]Hello! Your submission of Venum Black at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and there still are some issues that may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! Materialscientist (talk) 00:53, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
Article creation
[edit]Hey there, I see that you've been busy adding Luchador articles to Wikipedia. I was wondering, do you have a specific pattern you're creating wrestlers by? Like a list or an area of Lucha Libre you're working on? I am personally working on adding wrestlers that are former CMLL Champions, basically redlinks on CMLL CHampionship lists, I was wondering if you had a similar pattern? MPJ-DK (No Drama) Talk 19:34, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
- You don't have to steer clear of articles on my list if you want to create one, first of all there is no way of knowing when I'll get to them and second of all it'd be a help to me at times because I'm creating them to help bring CMLL CHampionship lists up in quality, and one way is to make sure there are not that many redlinks, so feel free to create something on my list if you want, I won't be annoyed or anything. MPJ-DK (No Drama) Talk 04:59, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
Sagrado and Misterioso
[edit]I'm sorry but I'm confused, it's Sagrado on the Trios page and Misterioso on the NWA page not what you said?? MPJ-DK (No Drama) Talk 20:54, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- Gotcha, not on the actual pages. Btw. did you like the improvement I did on the Aero Star article you created? MPJ-DK (No Drama) Talk 21:51, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
September 2009
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Brett DiBiase, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. ArcAngel (talk) 12:02, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
Anniversary shows
[edit]Wow that was a really embarrassing spelling mistake, in the title of 6 articles as well. I'm glad you noticed or I would have kept on messing it up. I appreciate it. MPJ-DK (No Drama) Talk 15:39, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
Nitro
[edit]I just saw your newly created Nitro article. Good stuff, it's good to see it fully sourced from the beginning so the "tagging brigade" doesn't start slapping all kinds of tags on it. I am glad I'm not the only one contributing to the Lucha Libre articles any more :) keep up the good work. MPJ -DK 05:52, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
The article Discovery (wrestler) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Doesn't meet WP:GNG. No "reliable" third party sources to help establish notability.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nikki♥311 04:30, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
File source and copyright licensing problem with File:True Home Boys.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:True Home Boys.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 04:22, 14 April 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 04:22, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
