Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Nintendo eShop into Discontinuation of the Nintendo eShop (Wii U & 3DS). Peper, South Sudan moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Peper, South Sudan, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, or a link to an official government source showing it is a legally recognized populated place. This article has zero. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). Non-free rationale for File:WWE 2K18 Hell in a Cell.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:WWE 2K18 Hell in a Cell.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to gender-related disputes or controversies or people associated with them, a topic designated as contentious. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially-designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
Do also note that "articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles
" is also a Contentious Topic area. Nil Einne (talk) 04:21, 22 April 2023 (UTC)
The article The Completionist has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
BLP, fails GNG and BIO. Meets BLP1E. Sources in article are promo and about the 1E. BEFORE showed nothing that meets SIGCOV addressing the subject directly and indepth from IS RS. WP:BLP states "Be very firm about the use of high-quality sources"'; BLPs need IS RS with SIGCOV addressing the subject directly and indepth for both content and notability per well known core policy (WP:V and WP:BLP) and guidelines (WP:BIO and WP:IS, WP:RS, WP:SIGCOV).
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

Concerns about your nominations for deletion
[edit]Hi. I have strong concerns about your nominations for deletion. For example, your AfD nominations (examples: Rodrigo Álvarez de Asturias, Sandy Poulsen, William Charles Hood) do not appear to have had conducted proper WP:BEFORE searches; while before searches are not a polucy, they are a very good and highly recommended practice to avoid wasting everyone's time with a nomination of a clearly notable person. Your CSDs are also even more concerning. A substantial portion of your WP:G11s so far (Draft:Rionet Wireless, Draft:At home with English, Draft:Rivers International School Arnhem) are completely incorrect, as I do not see how any of those (maybe could make a case for the first one) could be seen as blatant advertising. Your other CSDs are equally incorrect (examples: [1][2]). I would highly recommend taking time before continuing to engage in deletion nominations; if deletion is an aspect that interests you, consider instead just participating at AfD rather than doing the nominating. It would also benefit you to read WP:CSD if that is also a track you wish to go down. Curbon7 (talk) 23:49, 26 April 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Hello Jeffhardyfan08, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I deleted Category talk:Mat Dickie, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, under a different criterion from the one you provided. AfD closure of Firefox version history
[edit]Jeffhardyfan08, your close of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Firefox version history (2nd nomination) included no rationale or explanation of how you weighed different votes and arguments; further, it seems an admin (Guerillero) was already looking to close the discussion; could you consider reverting your close? Thanks DFlhb (talk) 10:59, 29 April 2023 (UTC)
- @DFlhb do you have any evidence for that last part?, would present a massive conflict of interest if Guerillero closed as they closed a similar AfD thats subject to a DRV with a Supervote Popeter45 (talk) 11:40, 29 April 2023 (UTC)
- ? That's not how "conflicts of interest" work, and such a close would be completely proper. Nowhere did Guerillero (who I'll now ping) say that they will close; I just assumed that, based on the relist.
- That was also not a supervote. Closers are supposed to weigh the strength of arguments, not the amount of votes (see this); actually, that doesn't happen often enough, rather than happening too much. If there are 100 votes to !keep that are just WP:PERX and WP:ILIKEIT, and there is one vote to !delete that presents a proper policy reason, then closers are supposed to see a consensus to delete. DFlhb (talk) 11:54, 29 April 2023 (UTC)
- There isn't really proof Guerillero really wanted to close the discussion. I am now going to close it as a no Conesus with an actual rationale. Jeffhardyfan08 (talk) 11:56, 29 April 2023 (UTC)
- if 100 to 1 maybe you should first thing as to if so many people are againts a policy maybe it should be the policy that is changed? Popeter45 (talk) 12:32, 29 April 2023 (UTC)
- I have no special claim to closing this discussion beyond what any editor has, but this was a textbook BADNAC. Please learn how we close discussions before doing it yourself. --Guerillero Parlez Moi 13:43, 29 April 2023 (UTC)
- thanks for the clarifcation, thou i would say the 1 week ban for the user is a bit over the top by @Bbb23 as i can see the users logic of seeing the reason for reverting the closure being resolved so thinking it was okay to reinstate it, maybe just a admin revert and saying here why Popeter45 (talk) 14:48, 29 April 2023 (UTC)
- The user did not get their block for this closure alone but also for a whole lot of other issues. Jack1956 (talk) 11:10, 30 April 2023 (UTC)
