Note: Only events that are presently contested have their own column in the above table. In some of the early Olympics, events were held that have been discontinued later on. Where possible, the champions in these events have been placed in a column corresponding to the nearest distance. In those cases the actual distance is added below the champion's name. Champions not included in the table are:

Snooker major tournaments

[edit]

The snooker major tournaments, often referred to simply as "the majors", are the most prestigious tournaments in snooker.

Traditionally, the majors consisted of the three Triple Crown tournaments: the World Snooker Championship (first held in 1927 and staged as a knockout tournament continuously since 1969), the invitational Masters (held annually since 1975), and the UK Championship (held annually since 1977).

In 2024, the World Snooker Tour (WST) announced the addition of the Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters as snooker's "fourth major".[1]

Francesco Bagnaia holds the record for the most MotoGP sprint race wins with three during his career.

Grand Prix motorcycle racing is the premier championship of motorcycle road racing, which has been divided into four classes since 2023: MotoGP, Moto2, Moto3, and MotoE. Classes that have been discontinued include 500cc (although 500cc statistics are combined with MotoGP officially), 350cc, 250cc, 125cc, 80cc, 50cc and Sidecar. The Grand Prix Road-Racing World Championship was established in 1949 by the sport's governing body, the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), and is the oldest motorsport World Championship.[100]

Sprint races were introduced at all Grands Prix in 2023.[101] Francesco Bagnaia holds the record for the most race sprint race wins recorded with three.

List of Formula One sprint race winners

[edit]

Formula One, abbreviated to F1, is the highest class of open-wheeled auto racing defined by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), motorsport's world governing body.[1] The "formula" in the name refers to a set of rules to which all participants and cars must conform.[2] The F1 World Championship season consists of a series of races, known as Grands Prix, held usually on purpose-built circuits, and in a few cases on closed city streets.[3] Drivers are awarded points based on their position at the end of each race, and the driver who accumulates the most points over each calendar year is crowned that year's World Champion.[4]

Max Verstappen holds the record for the most Formula One sprint race wins with three during his career.

Sprint races were introduced at select Grands Prix in 2021.[5][6]Max Verstappen holds the record for the highest total of sprint race wins with three.

Title leaders

[edit]
  • The leaders in these events are listed below. All swimmers with at least three individual titles are included. Note that this list favors more recent swimmers due to the increasing number of events held, and the introduction and increasing frequency of the World Championships.

Asterisks (*) and bold denote active swimmers
